Get ready to sending in your Identification cards & Passports to some unknown people in Slovenia.

Oh yes, everyone in Slovenia will now know, that you are just an average guy, just like everybody else and not even a little bit special like your mother used to tell you.

Some people here really have the need to feel at least somehow important.  Roll Eyes

Normal it is when btc down than alts up.but i see icn and btc falling.in Dollar and in btc.yesterday was 0.00049 today is 0.00044

Not when the BTC takes a dive and everybody is getting rid of it for FIAT in a panic sells. Which is what has been happening today.

Why price is falling? Will it Hit this month 0.0005?  I thought it will raise after btc falling

Just take a look here - https://coinmarketcap.com/

Everything is falling when BTC gets dumped. That's the nature of the market and if you use your head, it's not too hard to figure out why. It's not a rocket science really.

Get ready for the BIG DUMP...

Good, at least I can get some more for cheap.

Thank you very much for sharing this topic , it really gives full details about how Kraken is scamming the users in the name of 2fa security and not even they are keeping the email confirmation for withdraw security on their site and just blaming the users fault of not using 2fa security. Thank god that i have not used that site as they are very complicated to open the account in that site.

been using kraken for years, never had any problems with them

Well they are sure as hell down now. Are you using API?

Not really, I got verified there without any issues. But the fact they do not use simple email verification for transactions and logins, which is absolutely basic thing to set up, is sketchy at best. Not to mention how frequently they have been down for years during dumps without any effort to fix that. I am not for conspiracies, but this is simply bad.

Is Kraken being DDOS'd now?

This is what happens with Kraken during dumps. It's been like that for years.

This is what I found online a week back when I was doing a research on it:

So apparently, that stuff isn't really made up.

You have picked a wrong project for shortening.

Can't wait for ICN to go parabolic  Grin Grin

You think it will be? Smiley

Eventually yes, but that won't happen anytime soon. ETH is a good example.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: February 06, 2017, 04:03:40 PM
I don't understand what is the purpose of ICN token and why it was necessary to run a Fund Management Platform. Isn't enough to use Bitcoin and pay dividens to the participants of the project? I may be wrong but in my opinion the real goal of Iconomi project is to get as more Bitcoins as possible and leave investors with useless tokens.

did you read the whitepaper?

Yes, I did and checked it again. Still, I don't understand why you need to create a new token to run a fund management platform if you have Bitcoin, Ethereum and other coins you can build your platform onto.

Because ICN isn't really a "coin", it's basically a company asset. And the entire point if Iconomi is to make buying "assets" as we know it in the "old economy" easy to approach for everyone. Including dividends and so forth. These days, if a company wants to enter the stock for example, it has to go through shittons of legal stuff and small companies have basically zero chance to get there. With ICN platform, any starting company will be able to announce ICO and get funded via that. Basically a kick-starter, with the difference, that their "coins" will be the "assets" of that particular company, just as ICN are assets of the future Iconomi platform. Dividends will be paid out easily and everything will be nice and public and easily approachable.

So having your own assets in the form of ETH or BTC is basically impossible, since they would have to control all of them.

It's like... yeeeh, this new company is planning to make sofas that will give you a blowjob and have built in fridge for beer! I want to invest in it! And with Iconomi platform, it will be perfectly possible.

Trezor is the only hardware wallet with 100% open-source code.

No it's not:

www.ledgerwallet.com

Ledger Wallet is also integrated with MyEtherWallet and has been for ages.

He was referring to the fact that trezor is open source..

I still don't see how it is better, since you can't really test the code, and you still need to trust the HW manufacture

How robust are those hardware wallets? because USB "drives" tends to broke with time and if that wallet would broke then you'd probably lost everything on it. I know it is not classic usb drive but its still USB based product

Not really. For example Ledger Nano S has a 24 word configuration reset feature. So even if it gets stolen or lost or if it breaks down, you can easily reset your entire configuration on a new Nano S with the 24 words that you will receive when configuring your first one. Mine just arrived yesterday and it's an awesome tool.

Thank you for all the answers here. That's basically what I wanted to know. Thank you guys Smiley

I would surely have more questions, but those would be quite off topic in this thread.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: January 29, 2017, 11:43:57 AM
This is what I wanted to hear all along. Nothing else really. Smiley Thank you for sharing your experience.

And regarding the stories that I have read. Here are some of them:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1559553.0
https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/47jy0u/im_done_with_kraken_what_do_you_use_for_trading/

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/48qx31/goodbye_kraken/

These are the reason why I was asking here in this particular thread, because I read just the best about Kraken here. Now I am a bit suspicious.

Also, disclaimer, I don't have much experience with Kraken altogether, I do not know if claims in stated threads are true or not.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: January 29, 2017, 11:18:28 AM
I've been reading some horror stories about Kraken these past 2 days. Reddit is completely fill of them. Whether it's a suspicious downtime during dumps, when even barely API requests go through or very suspiciously hacked accounts (there is some info here on Bitcointalk too about that), regardless of 2 step verification.

I wanted to wait until the platform is released to move my ICN from Kraken, but from what I read, I am really thinking about moving it out of there asap. And even then, I still don't like the fact how Kraken has been freezing and crushing during heavy loads. I am, as you can see, quite new to this and considered Kraken to be fairly reliable. However, I am not so sure anymore.

then fucking move it to your ETH wallet already and shut the fuck up.

You should never store your shit on an exchange anyway.

  Roll Eyes

Well aren't you nice and helpful. You kiss your mother with that mouth? Smiley

I was more concerned about the downtimes during dumps, rather than storing ICN, but thank you for your amazing insight and clarification. Invaluable.

shows how much of a fucking idiot you are......

and my mother is dead.....

Is this forum full of inbreds like this one, or I just got lucky?

I can't judge him for this cause it very much looks like that you hope that this doge guy is dumb enough to fall for it.

A few BTC would suffice to let the price jump atm.

Yeh I admit that new account, plus questioning the exchange looks pretty sketchy for most people here.

Not that it will help, but I swear that was a legit question and this is not a randomly fake account to cause people to sell. Everyone has to start somewhere and rather than asking basic questions which I can google in a few seconds, I rather ask something that I would like more clarification and more opinions on.

But yeh, as I said, I don't think that many people will believe me. Smiley Which is understandable of course.
