64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Matchpool (GUP) - QGUP Airdrop on: February 27, 2018, 09:46:29 PM
What I understood is that persons with qgup will be able to swap with the persons with no qgup. But it is not known that who would wish to give gup and receive qgup. The ones who hold qgup should keep waiting, maybe it will bring good gains in time..

Still waiting.. Still have no idea what to do with these QGUP I have..
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Pool.Electroneum.Space - Best ETN Mining Pool on: February 16, 2018, 08:23:17 PM
At the risk of looking like I'm peeing in the punch at the party, isn't the idea of ETN supposed to be opening up mining to the average Joe by using their phone's CPU? If people are absolutely smashing it with rigs like the ones in previous posts, isn't that kind of killing off the USP of this particular currency?

I can't imagine I'll be making much (if anything at all!) by leaving my phone mining at a whopping 8H/s.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STRONGHANDS - Community Take Over on: February 15, 2018, 07:04:32 PM
So I'm trying to download the latest windows wallet from here:
https://github.com/bumbacoin/stronghands/releases

My browser(s) keeps marking it as a virus and deleting it before it's downloaded by windows defender.

Anyone got any tips?

Thanks!

Edit**
I disabled windows defender using group policy, downloaded the zip, extracted and ran, then enabled windows defender again and added an exception to the threats list. It's a ballache, but it worked.

I love this coin.

Very strong team around it who are quick to answer any question and very decent price on exchange.

Do you have any plans in place to meet requirements of local laws in countries? I know the US and UK have quite tight gambling laws and many sites simply ban IPs from those countries from participating in any activity on the site.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Pool.Electroneum.Space - Best ETN Mining Pool on: December 30, 2017, 11:42:16 AM
I've been mining ETN for a few days now, but wondered what people with more experience would rather have out of a pool with a few hundred miners, but a very low hash rate or a pool with 10k+ miners and a hash rate around 20 times bigger.

I don't know whether to stick with the pool I'm currently in or switch to one with a higher hash rate.

After mining for a few months, I have realized a few things. The size of the pool makes no difference. It just affects the frequency of payment. Big pools find blocks frequently, so you get your small share of the reward frequently but with small pools you get a big chunky reward at once but it may take days or weeks. However, over a significant period of time, you earn the same.

What's more important is how reliable the pool is. Most pools are highly unreliable and often go down as they don't have competent admins to protect against DDOS or high loads. Some of them don't even record your hashrate correctly. So I say stick with the pools having the highest uptime irrespective of how much fee they charge. A difference of 1% fee won't kill you but frequent downtimes definitely will.

Perfect answer - this is exactly the kind of information I was looking for an pretty much confirmed what I was thinking.

I'm mining on hash party as the OP seemed to quite like it and I must say it's been reliable and pays out just fine. It's just a shame the hash rate has dropped so much on the UK pool that there's only a block every 11 hours or so.

I have not received a Bounty payment, I participated in a video campaign, this is my ETH address: 0xb36d896131197347282821D7eDe349b8bf5F4E02

My transactions from 3 months ago were credited when I signed up for the app. In used the web app on my phone rather than the play store version and it worked nicely.

I couldn't sign up for the first email participation. It popped up with an error too?

I'm very pleased with all my investments in CG so far, with the exception of PPC which only ever seems to drop.

The chart tells a different story.

I did notice a high roller enjoying the 1.02x recently. If that run of luck comes to an abrupt end your investment is likely to spike.

Please point this chart out to my active investment. It hasn't heard that it should be going up yet.

Also, that chart is over two years - not the week I've had it in so far and the two weeks I tried last time before getting weak hands and pulling it out. Tongue
77  Other / Archival / Re: [Archived] Profit tracking. on: November 27, 2017, 03:16:56 PM
This works out around 4.16% interest per year, not to mention the divest fee. This leads me to believe that atleast one of the following must be true;

After 21 days when the investment has matured, the divest fee is wavered. It also drops slowly over the course of the 21 days should you need to withdraw those funds.

I'm very pleased with all my investments in CG so far, with the exception of PPC which only ever seems to drop.

Hello everyone  Wink I have a problem

Backup my wallet

I Copy 1337 folder C: / Users / <your username> / AppData / Roaming to my Desktop

I copied the wallet.dat from C: / Users / <your username> / AppData / Roaming I deleted everything ...

I installed the new wallet and erased the created wallet.dat and put the old wallet.dat I run the new wallet .... result ... give me error .... what am I doing wrong  Huh Huh

____________________________________________________________________
If not copy the old WALLET.DAT and leave the new WALLET.DAT created the wallet works but I get without the coins and with new adress ... it does not interest to be left with nothing Undecided Undecided

Even though I copied everything and managed to put the old version and it was as it was before (I recovered everything but I have the old wallet) Cool

Does anyone explain how I put the new version without losing the coins?  Huh Huh

I need help, please

I'm having exactly the same problem. If I overwrite the wallet.dat file, the whole thing crashes immediately on startup. I managed to get the wallet started by adding the conf file, but I'm at a loss as to what is happening here.
