61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BSV a bubble ? on: January 17, 2020, 03:54:59 AM
It is more than just a bubble. It is a fake bubble, a replica bubble. It so happens that the team of this bubble is rich enough and known enough to convince other people and support it with fake pumps. But sooner or later, this altcoin will eventually burst.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cut crypto loss at no cost on: January 17, 2020, 03:29:33 AM
Free coins will hardly make any value at all. That is the problem with something freely given away. By the time it acquires value even if very little, those who received them for free will not think twice to immediately dump them. A free coin in exchange to a buck or two is good enough.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are mainstream events linked to crypto's price movement on the market? on: January 17, 2020, 02:50:54 AM
I guess anything that is publicly offered for buy and sell is going to be affected by the world's events. At least those events that might affect directly or indirectly affect it. But with so many factors, including fake and real news, affecting the price of crypto, we can hardly tell sometimes which made the biggest effect. But I don't think there is such a thing as crypto is rising when the stock is falling. I don't think there is a consistent pattern suggesting that.
64  Other / Off-topic / Re: your internet costs and income on: January 17, 2020, 02:30:56 AM
along with the development of digital technology, have you ever thought about the internet costs that you use for your needs ...? where we always open the market every day and trade your cryptocurrency assets, let's calculate with your income, in one day whether you always explore exchanges, social media, upload, share and other sites, is it commensurate with your income or is it commensurate with the sale and purchase of your cryptocurrency assets ...? where every time we make a sale and purchase there will be a cost, and the time we spend does not count how many hours we live on our computer or smartphone and etc, ..?

Internet is necessary nowadays whether or not you are into cryptocurrency trading. We need it. We need data on our phone even if we are not aware of cryptocurrency. I think the cost is less than the overall benefit. I need the internet all day long because I need to constantly monitor crypto related news. I also need to monitor the prices. Not to mention the mails, social media, current events, etc.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: Do Not Blame Bitcoin, No Government Want To Make Its Citizen Millionaire on: January 16, 2020, 09:52:02 AM
I can feel you and I share your frustration. But the government does not intentionally limit the wage so that we cannot invest on crypto with big amounts just like the rich are doing.

To be fair, Bitcoin was worth 0.0005 cents or even much lower when it first came out. Where were the people at that time, especially those who have heard of it? Everybody can afford it. But only too few bought or mined or got it from faucets and other sources. Right now, it is hard pointing fingers. We also have had our failures.

Agreed. It's not like the government is eyeing every investment we are trying to get into. Heck, they probably want us to be a bit richer so they don't need to bribe us with money they can keep for themselves.

I think so, too. I guess the government is going to become happier if the people are richer. The economy is going to be more vibrant, businesses would be thriving, taxes are increasing, and so on. There is going to be less beggars around, unemployed, protests due to low wage and poor services, sick people, and so on.

This thread is very applicable in China, I say China as an example because we all know that they are Communist country. They don't want their people to become richer that the people in their Government. In their country, they collect people's money so that everyone has the same kind of living. They don't want their people to become successful and achieve everything with their money, same in bitcoin. Bitcoin has a lot of potential to help people, but the government stop them.

China's primary product before it has awakened into a modern economic dragon is labor, cheap labor, dirt cheap labor to be exact. That made the government rich and the people dirt poor. And the country has unlimited supply of that product. Factories, manufacturing centers, and other products from all over the world are moving their businesses to china because of that.

I guess you are correct. What happens when the people of china will become rich? Would they still work like robots or machines just for a few pennies? I don't think so.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Government Cryptocurrency on: January 16, 2020, 03:42:57 AM
China is planning to launch their crypto currency, with attention to distribution and adoption, since they are involving all four major banks in the country, two major e-commerce websites Alibaba and Tencent and UnionPay as online payment provider for all four state banks involved in the project

crypto will be centralized and controlled by the state, but high level of acceptance shall be expected

plan is to launch it no later than 2020, november 11, according to latest news, will be interesting how this is going to influence crypto markets this year

This will only be a bad name in cryptocurrency. This will change the connotation of cryptocurrency. In the past, cryptocurrency is almost taken as equal to decentralization, transparency, freedom, etc. This crypto by china will be anything but those mentioned features. Let the chinese people decide which is better to use, although it is really difficult for them to choose as they are inside an authoritarian country.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: token supply on: January 16, 2020, 03:22:47 AM
sometimes I think if you look at the amount of token supply in such a large amount that trillions and trillions after the project runs several months or years, the token will be burned, what for if you make tokens with a large supply, but will be burned, ...?

 Roll Eyes

That sounds silly honestly. But that is done when the developers are really having a very hard time putting more value into their coins. So apart from doing more and more developments and promotions and creations of partnerships, they would also resort to burning of tokens. When all the efforts are just not enough, cutting the supply is an option. But even this one is not a guarantee that the token will rise in value.
68  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: January 16, 2020, 03:08:25 AM
is there any evidence that not paying taxes, not getting married and not using a bank make someone rich??  paying taxes and getting married is a liability..  Getting married and having children is wealth too.  Just look at the billionaire Elon Musk & Jeff Bezos (even though they are currently divorced from their wives) but they are married and have children, it complements their material wealth..  getting married is very important because it might be a way to open your fortune.

Bruh, do you even wonder why billionaires who’ve married decide to donate all of their wealth to the charity? I’m not targeting the mostly males billionaires, even feminist billlionares would donate all their wealth for charity, because they can no longer stand and watching all their money get splitted up for good for nothing spouse, they rather donate all to the charity than give it all to the xxx demanded by the court order??

You are funny, bruh. You have a mind that is too busy on the things you cannot even have access to. But nice try reading the minds of billionaires. I hope you will become one someday.

70  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Can Gain 100% In 2020 - Halving Not Priced In, Says Fundstrat on: January 16, 2020, 02:21:51 AM
100% gain in 2020 is very much possible. In fact, it can very much gain more than that. 2020 opened with Bitcoin valued only a little more than $7,000. Just weeks after new year, the price is already trying to knock the $9,000 resistance down. This could go straight to a five-digit price. And when it happens, $14,000 is already within easy reach. That is already double the price of Bitcoin when the year started.

Do Not Blame Bitcoin, No Government Want To Make Its Citizen Millionaire

Just listened that UK new pm has increased the wages of UK employees a few cents per hour, Laughed. When the wages will be small, how you may claim that bitcoin may hit $100K or even a million? People only invest a portion of their money in Crypto, And the government pays a very small amount around $11/per hour. Can this small amount make bitcoin to hit over 100K or a million USD?

If these governments want to make their people rich, they could increase their wages to upto 10 times, around $100/per hour. When wages will be high, more amount of money could be invested in Crypto.

I hate this, even programmers are forced to work in less budget. When dollars and other currencies are free to be printed and their value will not be reduced even if they are printed a lot more, then which ant is enforcing and stopping the governments to force their employees to work in a low budget?

I can feel you and I share your frustration. But the government does not intentionally limit the wage so that we cannot invest on crypto with big amounts just like the rich are doing.

72  Economy / Economics / Re: The Cypherpunks and the road to Bitcoin on: January 15, 2020, 03:27:28 AM
I like how Eric differentiate privacy and secrecy. Sometimes, Bitcoin is being misunderstood because of its privacy. It is associated with illegal drugs and other contraband that are flowing secretly. Privacy is not bad. Secrecy could be bad. Privacy is a right of every individual. Secrecy is not.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: January 15, 2020, 03:08:38 AM
Then I don't want to be rich, let's be real sometimes money can't buy you happiness, a happy and harmonious family is one thing that I want to achieve. Perhaps we can't become rich but having someone who loves you sincerely and accompanies you until death is something precious. Moreover, all activities that we're doing right now mostly can be taxed, buying food at groceries is also can be taxed.

I am with you here. There is a difference between rich and wealthy, but I prefer to have a  harmonious,worry-free  and abundant life. What is rich living if you are pressured to maintain your lifestyle, can not sleep well someone might steal you, or afraid of your security.
I think most people would like to have a life in which they do not have to worry about money but that is something really difficult to achieve and we have no other option but to work and keep very high stress jobs even if we do not want to, this is why trading and investing is so popular in the forum because people want to achieve that financial independence but very few people will be able to do it because even those that become successful at trading will not have a worry free life since trading is so difficult.

In real life, even the rich people are worrying about money just like the poor ones. In fact, they must be worrying about money more than the poor people do. I guess you cannot avoid it. You will not worry about money only when you are living in the most rural of areas in a primitive way that your money will not amount to anything. You will only grow your food, you will pay no electricity and water bills, you will need to internet, etc.
That is not true. The rich people are not worrying about the money that they have or left because they know everything about their money and they know their cash flow very well. They know where the money is coming and where it is going. The rich are well aware of their finances and they can handle it very well and that is why they are rich.

I have not been rich myself so I cannot tell for sure how the rich people think and feel about their money. But in the news I have always read about millionaires and billionaires worrying because their net income is falling too low from their target. I have read how the business is moving slowly because of new players in the market. I have read how they would oppose a bill that would require them salary increases to their employees because that would reduce their income significantly or even bankrupt them. These are all money matters and I guess they are still losing some sleep because of it.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good project or Useless projects! on: January 15, 2020, 02:48:17 AM
I need some details about this project "Hypnoxys". This token already listed in coinmarketcap and number is almost 16**. But I'm still curious to know is this project still legit to everyone. Here is some details about this project https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5110522.0

The project seems to be offering nothing new. Telegram, wechat, line, and so on are already gaining momentum in this kind of niche. Hypnoxys is facing giants in the market. I don't think it is a good decision to invest heavily on the project's token. If you are seeing really good potential in this coin and project, you may invest but make sure it is not something that would hurt you bad if you lose.
And to not make it hurt ourselves we could only invest the amount we could ever afford to lose. This is the first most thing I follow each time I invest in any project as it makes me overcome the loss and look for profits. Much peoples have greedy nature, indeed I must say each people have greedy nature of seeing profits first rather than the loss and it is what makes us invest maximum amount we can calculating the higher yields but it may land you up in loss majority of times.

This project already has a number of competitors and in these kind of market to be able to stand on their own feet, they need to offer something interesting and profitable for the investors. I can't find anything similar onto their platform and hence they might really need to struggle to earn some benefits for the investors.

If we are talking about Bitcoin or the top altcoins, I don't mind putting in an amount that is a little bit huge that it hurts when it lost. But if we are talking about an altcoin such as this one, I will make sure I am only investing the lowest minimum, if at all. Proper risk management is necessary in cryptocurrency investment.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Exchanges on: January 15, 2020, 02:32:35 AM
Many people are thinking about monero having more security for reason some. so here is a exchange list for it:
ICE3X Exchange (https://ice3x.com/)
Poloniex (http://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_xmr)
HitBTC (http://hitbtc.com/)
Bittrex (http://bittrex.com/)
LocalMonero (https://localmonero.co/)
Shapeshift (http://shapeshift.io/)
Changelly (https://changelly.com/)
Evonax (http://www.evonax.com/)
Coindirect (https://www.coindirect.com/buy/monero)
Anycoin Direct (https://anycoindirect.eu/)
(Note: Exchanges provide highly varying degrees of safety, security, privacy, and control over your funds and information. Perform your own due diligence and choose a wallet where you will keep your monero before selecting an exchange.)

Monero (XMR) is also listed on almost all major exchanges. Monero after all is one of the major cryptocurrencies. So whichever exchange you prefer to buy or sell Monero (XMR), you can do it almost on all exchanges. Name it and Monero (XMR) is there: Binance, Huobi, Kraken, HitBTC, BiThumb, Okex, and a hundred plus more. The list above is too limited.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do scam ICOs really taken to the court? on: January 14, 2020, 06:06:49 AM
The reason why the scams are increasing is because of the lack of regulation, and only few are paying the consequences of their bad actions so the scammers are still confident to do their thing knowing they can get away with it.

I don't agree that the reason why scams are increasing is because of the lack of regulations. Regulations are not needed when a project turning out a scam is being brought into justice. What is needed are people who are filing cases, good lawyers, a number of witnesses, and so on. Scamming money from people is already a crime everywhere in the world. Regulations are not needed for them to be properly prosecuted and sent to jail. The problem is that these scammers have no cases filed against them in court. They are roaming free.

I saw some of the scam busters in the forum talking about taking the case to the court on scam ICOs, my question is, is it really happening.

Can you give me scam ICO that was already taken to the court and teams are being punished?
I know about Centra.. so give me others.

I heard about Centra also. Have you heard about Titanium? I guess the developers of that scam project were also taken to court and even jailed. I am not sure though. But I've read about that in the news more than a year ago. But the sad truth is that most of these scammers are still around and probably involved in other scam projects again.

80  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold and blockchain Technology on: January 14, 2020, 04:35:25 AM
that makes sense, it's just that I don't think like that. as I know, gold is a good conductor of gold, so it is only used for certain components because the price is quite high, so gold is not used in large quantities. however, when the price of bitcoin goes up, I don't feel that gold will also go up. however, nowadays people don't do so much mining, especially when mining costs are greater than other prices.

Gold is a precious metal. Although it is indeed used in so many technologies, the amount is only very little. This is not enough for the price of gold to rise exponentially. Other than that, the prices of gold and Bitcoin are not directly correlated.
