By "invest" do you mean purchase BTC? Or do you mean investing in something else, e.g. investing my fiat in something the pays out in BTC?

Are there any examples?

What are ways available to earn BTC besides mining?

Here is what I've seen so far:

gambling/lottery
click share (bitvisitor.com)
sell something

what else?

Would love a bitcoin project to get my teeth into.

Hi bitcoinologist  -- welcome. I got a project that can use your skillset. I am in the process of implementing Bitcoin at MyMindshare.com, a commercial messaging system. Feel free to check it out at http://mymindshare.com. I also PM'd you with my email address. Glad to answer any questions.

64  Other / Beginners & Help / Does speculative deflation destabilize BTC as usable currency? on: April 10, 2013, 02:25:24 AM
This is a question for the economics forum, but I'm a newb so I can't post there yet.

I'm interested in building a business using BTC, not engaging in speculative trading. Does the recent price spike in BTC make running a legitimate business more difficult?

I'm the developer of MyMindshare.com, a commercial messaging system and I'm interested in creating a version that is denominated in BTC. I only need a little encouragement and some guidance. It would probably take me a week to set it up. I would be interested in partnering with legitimate, upstanding members of the BTC community. I would be glad to discuss further and answer any questions.

If your account represents a Bitcoin business or you are a developer, please post here so we can get you into the forum beyond. State your company, project in addition to what you wish to do on the forums. We will get you whitelisted promptly.

Godspeed in your endeavors and thank you for your service!

Well, I'm in now! I first heard about BTC on NPRs Planet Money about a year ago. Sounded interesting, and it looks like it is getting more interesting. I would love to hear from anyone in the Los Angeles area.

I'm the developer of MyMindshare.com, a commercial messaging system, and I'm toying with the idea of creating a site denominated in BTC.

Any suggestions on where to go for BTC business development support?
