I think the reason people are asking it so dramatically is the github is pretty inactive. Combined with the drop from a top 60 coin to top 180 in marketcap, people are probably assuming this is outright dead ^^;

How much for a masternode? I thought I had more of this but only 80K 

I bought in at 60 satoshi. I had to go to sleep at 3 am and couldn't wait for bitcoin to clear on ccex or I would have been in at 30 satoshi with twice as much lol. It was dodgy then, it is dodgy now. I never tried to get anybody to buy this coin over like 200 satoshi because (sing it with me everybody)

Xtrabytes is a goof. If it ends up "really" being the miracle elixir people dream it could be just because the developers say they invented a new proof of ___ idea, I still have 25K socked away just in case.

I guess ultimately the problem is people still believe they are buying low with it on the edges of the top 100 and not in say the top 50.

Devs fix this by taking it off ETH and onto Waves   but no really y'all this happened with BAT, SONM, and now today (cannot remember w/Bancor). This is an ETH token and these huge ICOs keep giving the ETH network problems because people are all trying to send at once (often failing, and then refreshing nonstop, sending again, etc...)

Waves has nodes but I think you would not class as "masternode" as the full supply is already released (but this is also in line with what Xtrabytes plans iirc and they call theirs a masternode)

I think all of those should have masternodes - apologies for any incorrect, and I surely missed one or ten, they all start to blur after a while if you are not in the coin with a node

have done so on multiple operating systems, which is why I am back asking for help... it took over 7 hours to get 1/3rd the blockchain loaded yesterday (0-2 connections, bounces back to 0 over and over), I really want to stake but I'm ready to give up on that if you have to be port forwarded

Howdy, gotta bother y'all one last time. Do you have to be port forwarded to get good connections on this network? I think that's my problem because my modem (or something) doesn't let me get port forwarded, I tried messing with my routers over a full day before to fix this problem and couldn't ever get it done. Hasn't been much of a problem in crypto so far, but I think that's perhaps my problem here?

Can anybody please point to a guide or post with instructions on how to install this for MacOS? This simply isn't working out at all so far, still 22 weeks behind and only 1 connection after adding the nodes to the qt.conf file

Thank you adam but I followed to that folder, there isn't an ESPER folder. Am I supposed to install the bootstrap thing somewhere? Is there a guide I can just follow?

(If I show package contents from espers-qt, there is a qt.conf, I can't find an esper.conf whether in library application support or under normal applications)
