It's likely that all major entities will attempt to become "worlds" of sorts and will issue their own cryptocurrencies. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-02-12/why-governments-might-join-the-cryptocurrency-craze-quicktake"With crypto mania sweeping the world, a handful of countries have stirred at the possibility of issuing their own virtual currencies based on blockchain" We will vote on which "world" is worthwhile by living there, and is dependent on each's respective benefits. Facebook has also toyed with the idea of creating its own cryptocurrency. They're also heavily investing in VR, which means they envision a digital future and a digital economy.

Begin by thinking about the fact that you cannot comprehend AI. Period. You (and I, and everyone) are totally clueless about what it might do or how it might do it. That's self-definitional and cannot be refuted.
You can understand no more about AI than you could understand the working of a brain IQ 400 doing math.
Such an entity might stay completely out of human affairs. Or it might not.
I agree that no one may truly understand AI, however, I wonder what you think of the idea of transhumanism, one of which is about humans merging with machines as a means of human enhancement? There has been some heated discussion over at reddit last week about what people might do in case they got fired from their companies because an AI will take over their positions and some people suggested being a human cyborg. Do you think this could allow us to survive the coming of AI? People will undoubtedly join AI's capabilities, it's just a matter of time. (Things like Neuralinks will facilitate this.) The most important aspect of associating the human mind with that which is digital means that the mind will eventually become digitized and our consciousness can live on in the virtual realm while not requiring so many physical resources.

I am not sure if this is a nice thing, allowing a third party to intervene or interrupt the dictates of a smart contract is kind of against what the blockchain stands for, that is openness, trust, lack of a central control authority. Such patent will easily be open to abuse, unless I am mistaken on how this will actually work. Mr Jack Ma is not a fan of cryptocurrency as far as I can tell and using the blockchain this way may have some undesirable consequences
Kind of defeats the purpose of the blockchain.. Apparently, Jack Ma, understands blockchain's power, but doesn't understand what bitcoin can contribute to society. https://bitcoiner.today/en/jack-ma-founder-of-alibaba-group-speaks-about-bitcoin-and-blockchain-technology/I think that long-term, blockchain is a nightmare to governments and corporations because of its implications (along with higher bandwidth). If the world becomes digital, they are essentially powerless.

"Treat triumph and disaster just the same."
Be thankful for you losses and failures. They are your true teachers and add to the experience under your belt.
Without them, you wouldn't be able to make better decisions in the future, and success would be impossible.
I think an excerpt from IF is appropriate:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

https://cointelegraph.com/news/alibaba-files-patent-for-blockchain-system-that-allows-administrative-interventionThe patent seeks to develop a system for effective administrative supervision of all accounts in a blockchain network, although the scope of supervision will be limited, which means it will not restrict normal transactions in the blockchain network. “The issuing account recorded in the various embodiments may be an account owned by a government agency or a trustful institution.” Does this mean illegal transactions will now only be carried out by government agencies and "trustful institutions"?

We all have biological fathers who hopefully help nurture and love us from an early age, but we also have valuable secondary fathers throughout our lifetime that we find with a little bit of luck. We become an apprentice of sorts.
For me, it was a guy who I struck up a conversation with in a photocopy shop one day. I was 21, he was in his late 30's and had just returned from 7 years of world traveling and being a professional poker player. He had come back to open businesses in the capital city we were in as he wanted to settle down. We actually ended up opening a restaurant together even though I had zero experience in entrepreneurial endeavors.
The "apprenticeship" ended once we realized we couldn't work together, but I learned more from this guy about life, the world, and business over a summer than I ever had learned from my Dad or at school.
Who was yours?

If you've read Life 3.0 by Max Tegmark, you're aware that AI will be the "most important agent of change in the 21st century." https://www.theguardian.com/books/2017/sep/22/life-30-max-tegmark-reviewHarari's review places AI's fate on politics, and puts the blame on politician's technological ignorance for not trying to make long-term decisions regarding AI for our good. Unfortunately, AI has so far hardly registered on our political radar. It has not been a major subject in any election campaign, and most parties, politicians and voters seem to have no opinion about it. This is largely because most people have only a very dim and limited understanding of machine learning, neural networks and artificial intelligence.
When science becomes politics, scientific ignorance becomes a recipe for political disaster. One possible solution could be to have political positions created with the objective of planning the future of AI with engineers and scientists in office, instead of having the fate of our future lie in the hands of shareholders and people like Donald Trump. Do you have a better idea?

Has bitcoin become the preferred payment method of organized crime groups?
Lol,quite a funny one, Judas sold Jesus Christ for 12 pieces of silver, one of the highest crimes till date, and up till now silver is still precious and it's popularity hasn't waned If bitcoin can be used as payment for more crimes in exchange for far more popularity, acceptability and stability,i think more payments should definitely be made All publicity is good publicity. Also, the fact that organized crime groups are using it shows that it's the most secure and efficient means of payment out there. These aspects are much more important in their case.

What do you guys think of StellarX? Some have said that it's "too centralized." https://news.bitcoin.com/a-review-of-the-new-stellarx-decentralized-exchange/users retain sole custody of their funds, trades are executed against other users, and Stellarx has no access to funds. Throw in the ability to trade non-native crypto assets such as BTC and BCH, plus the option of making fiat currency deposits, and Stellarx starts to sound more like a centralized exchange than a bare bones DEX on a par with IDEX or Forkdelta. There are some caveats that come with trading non-native Stellar assets, which we’ll get to shortly, but straight off the bat, Stellarx is more feature-rich than any of its counterparts.

Depends on the source. If they back up their claims with verified studies then it might be worth considering/implementing but it's never a good idea to make something you read online your religion.

We're going to join AI's capabilities with things like Musk's Neuralinks implanted in our minds within the next ten years. This will potentially be used as mind uploading tech (brain scan)-allowing us to join the cloud and remain immortal in the virtual space.
We're already getting acquainted with AI in our daily life thanks to things like virtual agents as of now..

A war has begun between those attempting to control fake news and the fake news providers. https://futurism.com/social-media-congress-government-regulation/"In today’s Congressional hearing, Sandberg said fake news sources and Facebook’s human and algorithmic moderators were locked in an “arms race.”
The problem is the "war" is seemingly impossible to win for the providers because they can't control the creation of fake accounts. Lawmakers have no idea what to do apart from saying "the wild west of the internet is over." What do you see as a viable solution?

For staring at a screen and remaining cool and collected, I like classical-Bach, Mozart, Beethoven.

I think we'll just reach a point where the public will be so knowledgeable of fake news that unless AI doesn't debunk it, people just won't pay attention to it. I might be assuming the general public is much smarter than it is, however.

People are constantly looking for approval from others. If it's not social media, it's putting effort into physical appearance, educational status, and job titles. We need to be constantly reassured that our life is cool and enviable. Likes and alerts makes us feel relevant and loved.
Illusion is more important than reality.

Video games' immersive nature makes it easy to get carried away.
It's not only video games that provides this ecstasy, but anything that gives people the impression that they're building something or successfully getting from point A to point B. It makes us feel good.
Video games give people an outlet to feel like they're improving at something. It's a shortcut of sorts because they don't actually have to go out and do anything.
If they are going to be this widely used, we need to move away from violent games that subconsciously encourage less respect for human life.

A school is a place, an education is knowledge that you can use.
Schools attempt to equip students with knowledge, but the problem is that the best way to learn is to go out and do.
The most important lessons are learned outside of the classroom. The main thing schools teach is to not question anything and follow directions. Very rarely do they touch on money management, how to take calculated risks, or how to develop emotional intelligence and find fulfilling hobbies, all of which are required for happiness.

There are plenty of projects working on "digital immortality"- Creating virtual worlds where people can be uploaded once this is possible (allegedly within the next 30 years.)
I don't think it could be technically considered immortality though. "Forever" is a long time. The hardware that would make this possible would still be subject to the heat death of the universe.
