Maybe transaction was abandoned from the other side?
No, it's a transaction on the Dash chain. He's importing it in Bitcoin Core, that's why it doesn't show up.

No, that's apparently a Bitcoin address - it does exist on blockchain.info.
It's probably an altcoin wallet. These transactions are listed, but don't exist on the Bitcoin chain because the wallet is for a different cryptocurrency.
Have you ever had Litecoin, Dogecoin, DASH, etc?

It's not risky if you keep your seed safe (for example, operating with it only on an offline computer).
Which tool are you going to use?

How necessary was/is it to have password suggestions in order to crack this? I have a similar situation. That is.. I need to crack my private key's BIP38 password. I have a BitAddress.org BIP38 public/private key pair for an empty address that used the same password as another address I own. But I don't think I can provide password suggestions. How possible is this without password suggestions? If you think it is possible, I offer a bounty of $1,000.00 (that's USD) in BTC. At the time of this post it is BTC0.089800. Both addresses are offline on paper wallets. My target address is at: https://blockchain.info/address/1EMRVjqpUAWJQksKomHjSKYzQed4veH3deMy empty address key pair: Public key:1MHsUMfNRSUhpeLAx7vzwNu4qjYfjWesd7 Private key:6PnV8excEtv5g6D6p5dwNmfKT2Wi5fxtPUYSzJoKgDVeKHp3piPgazLd68 Also, if you have any suggestions for password recovery services, please share! Good luck! What could the password be?

I've made a Python script as promised in PM. Make sure to run it on an offline machine (just a security precaution so it wouldn't be able to steal your private key). You'll need to install Python 2.7 first: https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-2714 (download the installer for your platform). Then, download and unpack the following archive (I've just uploaded it): https://ptpb.pw/bQTv.zip. Again, remember to run it only when your computer is not connected to the Internet! This script opens in a console window, you'll need to enter your address first. Then you can start typing your possible passwords one by one to check them. I can make it read a text file instead if you need. To start the script, unpack the ZIP archive and run the brain.py file.

Are the words in correct order (1-24)?
What happens after you enter your brainwallet password on bitaddress.org? Which address does it have?
It's possible that someone cracked it and stole your coins before.

(re-posted from my own thread) I wrote a small tool to convert Bitcoin addresses to Bitcoin Gold ones. Just enter your Bitcoin address to see the corresponding BTG one, along with a block explorer link to quickly check the balance. It also works vice-versa, you can convert BTG addresses to BTC too! SegWit and multisig addresses are not yet supported (requires testing). It's hosted on GitHub Pages here. Source code: https://github.com/SopaXorzTaker/gold-address Uses the bs58check library, by bitcoinjs (MIT).

Uhh, maybe you're posting this on a completely wrong forum?
Just in case, back up your wallet.

If you can remember one of the first addresses generated with that mnemonic, it's possible to recover the seed. One user on Reddit had exactly the same issue, so someone made a C program to aid them. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/6g0n4h/shuffled_seed/(I also commented there, but my soltution isn't the best)

If you are using Windows, you can consider your coins automatically compromised.
Seriously, get a hardware wallet - it's worth it.

Contact a wallet recovery service, they may be able to help.

I must admit that I am a complete idiot. I meant pywallet, not btcrecover, sorry. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) btcrecover is for forgotten passwords, while I meant to suggest you to use pywallet. pywallet (written by jackjack) is a tool to manipulate wallet files and that one can extract a wallet from an HDD image (sorry for confusing you again, I am such a dumbass!). -> YOU NEED PYWALLET, NOT BTCRECOVER. Here's the forum topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=34028.0. Install it on the machine with the image file stored, and then run the recovery. If you need help with it, ask in the topic.
