61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 9 gpus in 1 mobo ? Asus z270e strix ? on: May 31, 2017, 03:15:41 AM
I am running two rigs with this board using 6 gpus sucessfully and soon to test with 7.

I can tell you that you won't be able to use both of the M.2 slots as you hoped because atleast 1 of the M.2 slots shared PCIe lanes with the PCIex1 #2 and #4 slots on the motherboard.
I know this because to get 6 gpu's to run correctly you have to distinctly change that setting to disable the M.2 slot in bios and use the PCIex1 #2,4 instead.
I am not positive but you may be able to use the other M.2 slot. I will double check, if so I may just order an adapter and try it out.

Edit: I am wrong, I looked up the PDF of the manual. It turns out it was the front USB 3.1 connector I had to disable in BIOS that shares bandwidth with the PCIex1 #2,4. The M.2 slots only share bandwidth with SATA 5 and 6. The M.2 adapters may very well work.

Ok sounds good I will look into getting Alexis and ZPool as well. I have been diverting some hash to DGB as payouts have risen and i'm using tpruvot and Groestl at the moment. I guess my last question is how Skein/ZPool works. Skein is and algo and the prefix of coin correct? When you say you are mining Skein on ZPool are you mining a certain coin all coins that use Skein as an algorithm (like DGB). Or am I misunderstanding something about Skein?

Very cool, I think I could get a 1080 in here for like 480$ lightly used, what's really holding me back is the fact that they aren't pulling as good revenue, on Zcash they are pulling around 550 sols so that's about 155$ monthly, which is comparable to an RX 480 pulling 30mhs at eth, with almost half the price.

Just try skein @ zpool on a 10 series using ccmineralexis78 for two days.... as a test.

I think you'll come around to seeing the increase in profit compared to the 3 coins the herd flocks to  Wink  Measuring nvidia solely on zcash is one of the biggest bothers in my life right now.... lol.

Is there any difference between Alexis and tpruvot? I have been using tpruvot but keep hearing Alexis is used for Skein. I have two Nvidia rigs and have been looking to point them somewhere more profitible than Nicehash, especially with the upcoming increase to 4% fees. Also any tips on using ZPool? You can set up a BTC payout or get paid directly in the coin you are mining correct?
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti or Multi RX - which is better ROI on: May 22, 2017, 05:36:22 AM
for now 1080ti can roin in two months, i don't know the amd situation but it's not better than nvidia, nvidia is very good at skein and sia, but amd can dual mine sia with ETH, i still think nvidia is better, the 1080ti will hold a good value for gamers, they like strong gpu

1080ti can do the roi in 2 months?? If was like this it has to mine for $400+ per month Smiley

it is like that on skein almost $400 per month with that gpu, but it won't last i know, still it should earn $300 easily each month, roi will not be more than 3 months anyway
Skein algo on any coin or a specific coin? Can you point me towards a pool? I was about to order a 1080Ti for ZCash but I have been hearing about Skein as well everywhere for 1080Ti.

what you guys think about next shitcoin to bomb? *that actually worth just a few cents* Roll Eyes
my thoughts are for: DigiByte, Burst
i think dgb will go booming, but i dont know exactly when..

Agreed. I've started diverting a small percentage of my hash from nicehash to digibyte as a little investment. Wanna get some coins while block reward is still high.

Adjustments for hashing power sellers Payments schedule and Fee schedule

Please read carefully at https://www.nicehash.com/?p=news&id=159

I understand the reasoning, but damn 4% just sounds bad on paper. I love Nicehash and all but I might look to bring my hash elsewhere with this change.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New Miner with Questions about Digibyte Mining on: May 18, 2017, 08:18:43 PM
Yeah I don't think it works like that. Wallets don't auto convert anything unless otherwise explicitly stated so I would only assume you can send DGB to your DGB address. With SuprNova I didn't have to configure a payout address in my CCMiner .bat file, it's specified in the account options of the pool's website. If you want to mine actual DGB itself you'll have to find a pool that mines DGB using one of the 5 algos DGB is compatible to mine with, of which Groestl is one.

I started mining it two days ago as well. Do you have a Digibyte wallet set up like Digibyte Core? I'm not sure on the specifics of your pool but I used SuprNova and successfully got a few thousand DGB using myriad-groestl.
