This looks interesting enough to try a couple small gambles on. Need more people here and reddit to get engaged to raise the pots.

I know it goes without saying, but when you made new instances, did you pick the other video cards. It will default to the same card when you create a new instance. Also, if you need to delete one, select the tab you want, and choose the X far right.

What kind of volume are you currently handling? At a 5% commission, I would be interested in a general idea of your current volume to see if the time investment/risk is aligned.

Have to say definitely fun, even Keno was quite enjoyable.

Goes without saying, but is the client closed?
c:\users\<your username>AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin\blocks
If that directory is full, make sure the client is still not running in your taskbar.

You can do a check on a profitability calculator to see how long it might take to solve a block. There are many out there, here is one as an example. Under mining Operation you can see an estimate of how long. http://blockchained.com/profit/index.php

Add into that the previously stated people just learning about bitcoin generation, and giving up after a few days, network connectivity and any events affecting connection to pools, ect.

Yes, they're practically humping each other, although placing some clothespins between the cards to space them out reduced heat by about 4C on the hottest card, not to mention the air circulation in my basement is terrible. I figured that running them 24/7 was the best way to deal with hot cards.
As far as the boasting, Tiger Direct can suck it since they're employees tend to know nothing about anything (I basically had to explain their own warranty policy to them). And truly, the post was meant to be informative under the guise of being boastful. I figured this would be something miners may want to consider.
And I thought I was creative using clothespins for spacing. Nice!

So roughly $750 for HD cards, a few hundred for mobo, case, power. Not a lot of profit in if if not a scam. This is a quick assumption of the GR1 (800MH/s). Cheaper and more efficient to purchase the parts and skip the $100 shipping.
This sounds a lot more like a group building rigs for mining based on current available hardware and accepting bitcoins.
Just my opinion.

Average for workers running 2.1~3.5Ghash/s Using primarily ATI's, with a few Nvidia(they top out around 130Mhas/s each)

I would also be quite careful having your wallet on multiple machines.

Thanks, I had wondered where the gold coin information was listed. Much appreciated!

This was a good read. I use the dual wallet, one as savings locked away and work through the day to day wallet.

Howdy all, new to the forums, not new to mining from way back.
