601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: February 11, 2018, 08:00:12 AM
@antammedic

Simple,

On your new computer install Straks wallet.
After that just copy your saved wallet to the same location where your Straks wallet is installed, probably same location as it was on your old computer.

Start your Straks wallet and wait for sync process to complete, then you should see your balance and old transaction history.
602  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoinsMarkets.com IS DOWN! on: February 11, 2018, 07:56:06 AM
The scammed guys. It's over.

I just tried to log in to my account and was told they were the incorrect credentials . . just testing it.

I do not expect we will ever hear from this exchange again. Let this be a lesson to everyone who keeps large sums on these shit exchanges. It's never worth it. Yea, the profits are great because we can take adavantage of many things like open order book spread, fundamental news events, etc . . its super easy in shit coins . . but never leave more on one of these shit coin exchanges with more than you can afford to lose. Having 5 btc on coinsmarkets or millions of COLX is just careless imo

Did you tried to reset you credentials or it says that there are no such email address?
Maybe they just blanked all credentials for reset after the database transfer.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can actually buy a lot of things with Bitcoin on: February 11, 2018, 07:48:22 AM
Yes i think so, but i hope someday the online shops here in Philippines will accept Btc as payment. And also btc transactions cost too much, i hope it will go  down too.

I dont hope very much with my country because it will never allow payment with bitcoin.
But i dont really hurt with that because i still my proud fiat money.
Anyway, bitcoin cost is too much when we send to other wallet, this could be the problem to bitcoin payment.

I always say that people make the government, and people make the state.
So if you insert yourself in that formula you get simple answer.
When people start accepting BTC and other currencies as a payment options, then and only then you can expect for country to acknowledge that payment option.

I have started to write down in all my Adds that I also accept payments in crypto, that is my contribution to popularise crypto in my country.

You know what one big man said long time ago  "don't ask what your county can do for you....."

Hey guys I need some merits, so if you find any of my posts useful feel free to give me a merit...Thanks  Smiley

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1387886;sa=showPosts

You should probably know by know that openly asking for merits could easily get you in trouble, most people will just set you on ignore and not see you posts at all, while in the same time admins could easily decide to lock your account.

605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: February 09, 2018, 10:49:46 AM
Hey guys, how is the BitCore netwerk being supported? Is there mining or staking going on? No masternodes?

You can find all relevnt information of first page of this topic.
But here it is:

POW Algo
“TimeTravel10”, that actually bases on 40320 different
combinations of hashing algorithms and that easily
can be extended to 362880, 3628800 or even more,
lets miners travel through time through
them or through them through time

No masternodes for time being.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Denarius [DNR] - NEW "Tribus" PoW Algo >> PoW/PoS Hybrid >> Masternodes on: February 09, 2018, 08:27:58 AM
Altcoin needs independent from BTC.. btc is like usd

No its not like USD, because USD is centralized currency.
Bitcoin is not centralized and that is the main difference.

You are saying/observing  that altcoins can be manipulated because of Altcocins/BTC pairing, but you must understand that all kind of pairings will always be available for manipulation and without pairing you cannot determine value of something.

Also keep in mind that even fiat currency has some kind of pairings, for example USD  to gold reserves.

607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 08, 2018, 05:44:41 PM
Trying so hard to get this evga sc2 hybrid to be stable w/phi algo at 40 MH/s just going to have to settle for 39.5.   Embarrassed

+120 tdp
+100 core
-400 memory

^^ much past that it crashes after a few hours or sooner

No matter what TDP or voltage I set with afterburner ccminer eventually crashes.  Temps aren't even hitting 60c.  Just doesn't want to quite make it.  Booooooooo  Tongue

Personally I would newer use 120TDP on anything that I intend to use 24/7 during few years of exploitation. Huh
Save energy, don't burn out your fans or GPU for that matter and protect your investment after all.
Not sure if driving something on 120% you can sort under "investment protection" just to save few weeks of ROI time.

That's just my opinion,  maybe I am looking that from different angle.
For example If you have cheap or free electricity and someone to replace your card numerous time during the warranty period...I don't have either of that.

608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: February 08, 2018, 08:08:44 AM
anyone still mining zcoin ? and wondering if its worth while ? starting to think about doing it. thanks

So you want for someone to tell you what to mine?
There is no magic answer to that question.

You have different web sites with calculator included, for exmaple "WhatToMine" and some others.

They can give you mathematical answer about hash rates for your rig, some calculations based of the current or passed values of coins and difficulty but that's where story ends, It cannot predict future prices of coins you are mining or will mine in the future.

I can tell you from my experience that few months ago I could get a lot more coins per day than i can get now, but that's the story for every coin you chose to mine.

609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS B250 Mining Expert MB - 19 Cards! on: February 08, 2018, 08:01:37 AM
Minor annoying facts:

Power button
I really don't understand why they didn't include some kind of power button on this board, or at least include some kind of cable with button.
I usually have some old cases around so i take buttons of them.

HDMI port
This connector is really fragile, it would be much better they include VGA port also, because if this snaps off it will be problem to solder it back.

Good things:

Multi PSU feature
Really like the feature that I can use more than one PSU without any adapters and plugs.

Annoying fact is also one more thing that is also the best part of this board, and this is the lack of space when you start using more than 7-8 cards. It becomes big problem with cables and stuff, suddenly you start appreciate 6 GPU builds  Grin.

I have managed to get this board for 170EUR so it was a steal deal

610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 07, 2018, 08:05:47 AM
Do you guys think it would be more profitable to buy a 1080 TI mining rig or invest the money into the market at this point?  I know mining would have consistent earnings over time, but would it beat out the growth of the market in the long run?
I would go with investing in coins like etc or ltc that will go off soon,1080ti cards are going way up with prices and increasing you roi.I dont know if anyone saw but new batch of cards are going for 1300-1400 euros and they are still being sold off very fast Undecided

1080ti prices have been artificially buffed, one part by the vendors that are currently lowering productions volumes due to soon release of new 2000 series,  and also other part responsible are distributors that are using current situation.

Samsung has already started with new gddr6 production.

612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: February 06, 2018, 08:05:34 PM
It is down 70% from last time  high value, but it is also 300% up than it was in the summer of 2017, so it all depends how you look at things. Glass half full or half empty  Grin
Can it go lower yes it can, will it go back up? probably will go up, question is when and for how long.

This roller-coasters are orchestrated by the people with high influences and sometimes are intended with higher purpose then just personal gain.

613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Denarius [DNR] - NEW "Tribus" PoW Algo >> PoW/PoS Hybrid >> Masternodes on: February 05, 2018, 06:05:05 PM
I guess there's a lot of us praying for a dip to buy more DNR, because that dip does not come. Denarius is standing admirably well in these bloody weeks... I miss the old 6k days  Undecided

currently DNR is standing really good in DNR/BTC ratio, but if USA Senate goes on regulation path  you could probably use first impact dip to acquire more DNR.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: February 05, 2018, 05:57:43 PM
Article is just that - Technical facts mixed with author opinion,  everyone for himself must decide about decision what to do after he reads up the whole story.
If someone wants just facts, he can read roadmap and whitepapers.

If there are not any opinions in the article that it's not an article.
Facts without personal opinion is called NEWS.

615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: February 05, 2018, 08:50:01 AM

I think that your native advertising DENARIUS in this post, that's just superfluous.

And i think that you are new here, otherwise you would know how signature campaigns looks like.
Regardless of my DNR signature I am also a long time BTX holder, miner while BTX was under 1,9 USD.

616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: February 05, 2018, 07:18:40 AM
Sold last 1/3 of mine BTX.
Start this process on 0,0024(ish) level, than finished on 0,0033.
Open and fair speculation to buyback on 0,0020 and overperform airdrop

Great news! BTX will go up and you will not have to appear here anymore.
Send this news to your mother.

I sold 100 of 500 coins to 0.003, another 100 sell by 0.004, and another 300 by 0.005. This is my plan for BTX. Purchase Price: 0.00166 Roll Eyes

Part of people here will congratulate you on your sale, other part will tell you that you lost chance to make good profits.

What I don't understand Is why would you even post something like this in this topic? Your post should go in "trade speculations" part of this forum not in official BTX thread.

Only if FUD is your goal.... then that is different story.

617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HUSH Secure Private Messaging and Transactions [Equihash] on: February 05, 2018, 07:09:14 AM
Now all you can is to HOLD, price has gone down more than 50% from 2nd of February and daily volumes are so low these days.

618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS B250 Mining Expert MB - 19 Cards! on: February 04, 2018, 09:23:15 AM
This is from Asus blog and even they are not using molex for powered risers so not sure why would BBT connect them in first place

619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Denarius [DNR] - NEW "Tribus" PoW Algo >> PoW/PoS Hybrid >> Masternodes on: February 04, 2018, 09:13:15 AM
Recent FUD makes me more bullish on DNR

Denarius still staying strong compared to other crypto-currencies. Anyway, hope this dark bearish period will end soon!
It's already over. Many coins today went into growth

Lol. Bearish signals aren't over yet. We need more money to be flown in. As it is, market cap barely going up.

Almost 90% of "Top100" coins are today in GREEN but only single digit green so you are probably right about the fact that bloodbath is still not over.
There could be one big REED coming tomorrow morning.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: February 04, 2018, 08:54:31 AM
Was some of you guys and girls from this forum present on event  (2nd of February 2018) in Bangkok?

I see one guy was filming it all, so maybe he can post it on YouTube if he is reading this right now.

If not maybe just to give us quick info about topics of discussion there  (Zerocoin, ZEth, Sigma, light wallets and MTP).
Latest news on first page dates to December 2017 and nothing after that.
