601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc Are limited supply and people Are withdraw them from exchangers on: November 17, 2022, 05:47:16 PM
Btc Are limited supply and there is fear on the Market everybody or most will think the fear make holders to sell.
But now AS people Are afraid bit to hold their coins on exchangers it creates exchangers shortages of coins.
I guess thats the reason why btc price quite Stable the supply and demand Even If traders are bearish in fear the funding balance stays negative still on exchangers.
So current ftx case making people more often to withdraw their assets out of exchangers.

Situation looking clear for me it seems to me that exchangers now out of coins and that triggers price up not other way around that people accidently think that current fear situation making crypto to go down the exchangers dont see our emotions but buy sell orders and supply and demand.

We have situation now when many traders holders will withdraw their coins in private wallets.
Actually this a normal phenomenon you will see during the price breaks. If you see in past whenever btc price falls, traders do withdraw their coins in private wallets many people even trade based on this data using cryptoquants. But I think so far the sample space for this data is pretty low. I have seen many times this metric of Bitcoin exchange reserve ratio falls and yet price keeps on falling as well. So not very sure if this is the right indicator to judge or not.
602  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Message for signal providers thats why crypto need regulations on: November 17, 2022, 05:42:31 PM
The pmp and dmp Are absaloutely fine no problem with that.
If coin price goes one Direction up or down its fine np about that.

But what is not fine, it's this all you trading signal providers If you give out signal give only when the coin really gona start move.

And we need sec to start regulate trading signals channels and verify wich signal providers give quality trading signals wich one not.

If you give signal out give only If your signal start moving
What is this ?
You give signal and it's not moving i been waiting all day long like 8 hours and then still not moving.

We dont mind pmp or dmp if it's moving like 10% up one Direction long or short but what not good you give signal and it's not moving at all.

If this trading signals sector of financial sector are so weak then we definately need goverment funding in order to support this signals financial sector.

Something need to be done Also If signal channel gives signal it don't hit the target not hit Even near by target don't give target

It's time start search out who Are those biggest signals providers and make them pay for their mistakes maybe visiting their homes Will make them to be better and honest.

Trading signals Are lifeline of crypto economic sector and it cant be like that.

So signal providers If ur signal dont move dont waste our time we Are here to make money.

Opinions can't be regulated. Obviously there needs to be a complete stop on people giving such signals on twitter for free which is really harmful for a lot of folks who fall for such traps. But how can you regulate the people whom people pay to get such exclusive signals? After all it's their choice. It's you who has to become intelligent and understand there are no best trading signals provider. Only way to earn money in the market is to gain the knowledge of the market, learn trading and then start making some money.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risks of self-custody outweigh the risk of exchanges on: November 17, 2022, 05:35:21 PM
You may have heard of James Howells and his $11 million plan to find a hard drive with $181 million in Bitcoin. That is a risk of self-custody, but his chance of finding his bitcoin is actually good.

If you had bitcoin held on FTX, there is no amount of money or time that will bring those coins back. They are gone. You have a 0% chance of finding those bitcoin.

Even in the worst case scenario, self-custody is better than an exchange.

Not your keys, not your bitcoin.

I won't deny that it's a valid point. I mean in some cases this can be really something that can happen without you even doing anything wrong. Like for an example if your house catches a fire or ends in a natural calamity while your seed phrase was inside. Some would say that you should keep it in an alternative place outside your home also but honestly think of it what could be a safer place than home? Also keeping it with you 24 x 7 isn't also a very good option and learning it and forgetting it is pretty common as well. So obviously this risk is there but it doesn't outweigh the risk of exchange for sure. This is something that you are doing and is very much legible, not some foolish person playing with your money by not keeping enough backing for your assets.
604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your key not your coins is real, not just quoted. (FTX Issue) on: November 13, 2022, 05:39:40 PM
That quote "Not your key not your coins" I just know work from today when looking how difficult to withdraw our money if we don't have the private key and seed.

As I know, this is not the first time the exchange or other platform hold customer money in their pocket. it's obvious de facto, it's our money but they can't give to us.

So my friend or the community, for this incident I hope you don't keep your money on exchange again, trust me!. this thing keeps repeating many time, we have to worry if happen in small exchange, but this very big exchange. So, are you sure in the next not happen in Binance, kraken, crypto.com, coinbase, and etc.?, I don't believe is not happen again on big exchange, because this already happened, believe me the big waves will come be much bigger

I am very grateful to save my small money to wallet where I have the key. I don't worry, I sleep well and have sweet dreams.

There are already wallets where you can keep the private key with free and open source, I don't know why they don't think that. I don't know why they believe the exchange than himself?
So true. I think it's not that people believe the exchange instead of themselves or something. Instead it's just the ease that people like the most. The ease of forgetting the password, the ease of buying selling anything pretty swiftly and the ease of fiat conversion as well. All these things make exchanges popular amongst folks. If decentralised exchanges are made which can do these things as swiftly as CEX I assure you people will start using DEX only. But yes for storing coins which you are not planning to exchange or sell in coming weeks you should always use a private key wallet only.
605  Economy / Economics / Re: Can One Get Rich or At least Not go Broke During a Recession? on: November 13, 2022, 05:30:38 PM
Recession is coming and we know it. In some places it is staring us right in the face. Unemployment, rising cost of living, increasing food prices, falling stocks etc are some of the negative effects associated with recession. Despite this seemingly bad news, Warren Buffet said “In short, bad news is an investor’s best friend”. And another quote by someone goes thus "millionaires are made during a recession". I have been recently laid-off work due to the recent economic crisis in my country. I do not want to see this as a bad thing. So I ask what hidden opportunities does this recession offer? How can one take opportunity of the recession to become rich or at least not go broke?

I have really believed in the quote that millionaires are made during the recession, obviously recession is bad for everything and everyone in general, you lose jobs, your investment sucks, prices of everything is going high. But i have seen a lot of people making fortune during recession as well, those people do a certain things differently from others. Like a person should always invest in averaging and should keep it's funds idle, in recession time one should enter the market so that you can find best prices of assets. Second thing is always keep multiple source of income and especially those which are minimally correlated to each other so that you get income from Atleast one of the source always.
606  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here is my take on FTX case on: November 13, 2022, 05:26:42 PM
Hi, Im a trader
And here is what i think about FTX case.
It's not small case and many people are involved so your panic and all kind of theories don't bring results.
I did invested a lot money in there myself but Im calm becouse i know the authorities will deal with it.
So let's just calm down and let the owner of the FTX will try to find best solution and try to solve this case.
We are not living in 90s in Western World nobody don't lose money like that big it's just not beneficial for anyone not even for FTX team i would never think their attentions was just to scam people becouse If you can do ta that kind of thing like FTX project then your mentality and Morals are way more higher then scammers have so i don't even bring this idea here that FTX are scam, definately those guys like SAM not bad guys.
Those kind of times Are over when you lose just money like that nowdays the financial instutions banks and funds have that power and financial means to resolve any case.
Im sure that FTX team attentions was not bad but things happening (s..t happens )
So let's be calm and wait when the people who knows what they doing will sort out this out for us.

If you are believing this then either you are too naive or you have accepted the fact that there is nothing you can do and even repenting on the fact will not change what has already happened. But I should tell you don't keep such a thinking, obviously in this scenario whatever happened cannot be changed but this can be taken as a lesson for the future, as to how you can be intelligent and clever in advance, make sure to keep just a small proportion of your fortune on Exchanges and not become the victim of such scams.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 13, 2022, 05:20:35 PM
At the moment, England is under no pressure. They need to collect 7 runs from 12 balls right now. The English still have enough wickets. In fact, the Pakistanis were first told that their runs were too low. The batting performance was so poor that they could not score enough runs. If Pakistan could have given the English a target of 180 runs, then the English would have been put under a lot of pressure in today's match.
I think if Pakistan could have scored more than 150 runs in this match then we would have seen a tough match.  But Pakistan's batting could not score more runs in this match.  But Pakistan's bowling played very well.  England's batsmen are under pressure. Despite all obstacles, England has won.

Pakistan was not a worthy team to become champions. I am not saying that the Pakistan squad is weak. They have talented players in their squad. Pakistani bowlers performed well throughout the World Cup.
But the main weakness of their squad is their batting line-up. Despite having talented players in the batting line-up, they are solely dependent on the performances of Babar and Rizwan. If these two players do not perform well, it will be very difficult for Pakistan to win the match or collect big. And in today's match as well as the two openers did not play well. So Pakistan team failed to collect big. And this is why they are defeated.
I never thought that Pakistan would lose like this.  I thought Pakistan will win the world cup this time. What I thought was completely wrong. I bet on Pakistan's support in this match. I don't feel bad that I lost the bet.  I'm sad our favorite team didn't win the World Cup.
Actually that match was quite unpredictable. But England winning chances were already high before. Because the batting lineup of England was more stronger than Pakistan. And it was seen in this match, as Rizwan and Babar Azam were also dismissed with few runs, and that's why they couldn't score much runs and it become pressure for Pakistan. And the result is England has become champion .
Pakistan were under pressure from the start today. Pakistan came under a lot of pressure as Babar Azam Rizwan the stalwart of the Pakistan team, got out early. In this Pakistan scored 137 runs which was not enough to win the World Cup final. If Pakistan could have given a target of 180 runs then there would have been a chance to win today's match.Meanwhile, England went to the field with a target of 137 runs and won by 5 wickets. Congratulations England Cricket Team.
I think even 160ish was difficult to chase with the pressure of a final. I don't blame the top order of Pakistan i think it was the lower order which failed to impress today in the last 5 overs of their batting they lost a lot of wickets in attempts to hit boundaries which restricted their total. But nevertheless Pakistan emerged as a completely different team from what they were at the start of the tournament. But England for sure are having their golden period right now in history of cricket. This time they were the best team in the tournament for sure and Sam Curran what a comeback for him as well.

just saw this news: https://www.livemint.com/market/cryptocurrency/ed-raids-binance-freezes-bitcoins-worth-rs-22-82-crore-11668162296465.html

Enforcement Directorate has carried out a search operation on Binance Crypto Exchange leading to freezing of 150.22 Bitcoins equivalent to Rs 22.82 Cr under PMLA, 2002, in respect to probe relating to the mobile gaming application, namely E-nuggets, says the agency.

i have never used binance and don't want to use it either but wasn't aware that they have offices in india.

or is it something else?
This is why they say media is the best friend and worst enemy of mankind, The news actually is this:
https://twitter.com/dir_ed/status/1591005053984583682?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

The official tweet from ED, it's actually a user account that got frozen and seized, the account belongs to some person who is involved in the gaming application namely E-nuggets. They might have been involved in some illegal money laundering using bitcoin not sure.

yeah, i understood it was money laundering case.

but instead of mentioning that it was just a user's account that got seized.

they had to sensationalize it using only the company's name.
It's just standard practice of Indian news channels, their intent with news is not to enlighten and inform people but to make money and views, I have seen that newspapers are really better sources of information and news because editors double-check their facts before just posting them without reason.

The worst part is many news channel will pick up their news from ANI as it's their primary source and play the same thing repetitively without any fact-checking on their part as well, all this will spoil the name of crypto in India.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 12, 2022, 09:57:02 PM
Final T20.
PAK vs ING
Win probability shown in browser  60% ENG.
My prediction : win probability 90% ENG.
England cricket team is very strong. Their team management is very good.

Even though the team is better no doubt, I have seen in t20 small things matter a lot, couple of early wickets can put the difference of 20-30 runs in final score which can cost you even the complete match.

~
England's batting line-up is very strong. They don't depend on the performance of certain batsmen like Pakistan. Every player in the team is batting very well. On the other hand, Pakistan's bowlers are in good form in this World Cup. So now it becomes very difficult to predict which team will win the title in this match. But in Pakistan, if the bowlers do not perform well in the final, then their chances of winning are very low. I would say the outcome of this match will depend on the performance of Pakistani bowlers.
England have a strong batting line up and so does Pakistan as they have a good top order and their bowlers are in good form and they can defend any decent total. England might have the advantage in terms of their batting strength but i do think that toss will be an important factor as the team chasing would have the advantage considering the weather. I do think that toss would be an important factor in the final.
England's batting lineup is strong no doubt, but their top order is the main strength. On the other hand, Pakistan's bowling is currently quite strong and they have the ability to stop England's top order. But Pakistan's weakness is the slow batting of their opening batsmen which creates the effect of being bad throughout the innings. Apart from the match against New Zealand, Pakistan's opening batsmen have struggled in this World Cup.

So I think all things considered England's chances of winning tomorrow's final match are high.
I think toss will be a big factor tomorrow, the fact that England will like to chase in this high-tension match as their batting is batter and Pakistan will like to bowl as their bowling is better, this will make things even more interesting. And pitch will be a big thing as well, we saw how track was slightly turning in Adelaide, will have to see how MCG wicket behaves, if it's good for pace then England's chance will drastically go down as Paki's pacers will get a lot of help.
610  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX has been hacked, delete the app, don't go to website on: November 12, 2022, 09:50:29 PM
This is really crazy, first my funds which were shown on the app obviously become non-existent and now you can't even access the application to see those funds because probably it has been hacked, which is very obvious as most of the tech team and cyber security team might also have resigned. I have read tweets that people are even suspecting that SBF has himself taken the funds and has fled to some safe haven to make sure he can't be caught. I am just thinking of the users here, it was such a big exchange a lot of people must have had their accounts on it, some people might even be having their life savings on it.
611  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can Binance also get bankrupt soon? on: November 12, 2022, 09:44:44 PM
Most of the members will not agree with the topic that Binance may also get bankrupt soon but we were alll thinking the same about the second largest crypto exchange after Binance. And we all know what has happened to FTX in last few days.
What concerns me is that there are some reasons which might cause big downfall of Binance also and it will have very bad effect on crypto in general. First thing that can cause collapse of Binance is regulations. Government is doing lot of research regarding this and they can take strict actions soon against the exchange. They can impose large fines on the exchange which can cause huge imbalance in their balance sheet. Another possibility os that some scams might surface up from behind the scenes in the exchange which is completely break the trust of investors and they will all start withdrawing the funds from the exchange making it completely dead.
Obviously, you cannot deny the possibility of this, They have shown proof of having enough holdings but obviously, there has never been a complete audit as to whether or not they have the complete backing of all the assets, and that also in reliable currencies, not just some token value of which can drop anytime. In fact, this is risky because just today I saw a tweet from CZ criticizing Bloomberg for writing false info about them online, but think what if that info is actually true and they are having their holding in BUSD only, now in that situation it's not that difficult for anyone to compromise BUSD as well, and even Binance can move towards bankruptcy.

613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Bear Market Mistakes to Avoid on: November 11, 2022, 05:28:35 PM
Losing money on investing is a frightening proposition. However, you can protect your money and reduce stress in a falling market by avoiding five common pitfalls made by crypto investors.

Panic
Putting in Emotional Efforts
Investing short-term
Overtrading
Mental Health

Learn More: https://mycryptoparadise.com/5-common-mistakes-to-avoid-during-a-crypto-bear-market/
So true, I remember how I have done each one of them during the previous bear runs, I thought all these actions would protect my capital or maybe give me a gain out of this bear market but I was so foolish and little did I know that I am just destroying my portfolio and nothing other than that. Best thing to do during such time is stay away from the market, because if you are in the market it's already too late to do anything because the damage has been done and if you are outside the market place a buy order at the floor you expect and sleep peacefully and wait for the bull run or market showing some correcton.
614  Economy / Economics / Re: Can our work be turned into a full-time investment? on: November 11, 2022, 05:24:54 PM
Under the current situation, many companies are facing bankruptcy or layoffs at any time, and we do not know what we will face tomorrow.
Do we need to switch our jobs to online jobs or a full-time investment in cryptocurrency? If you were fired by the company, would you still find a job you love as quickly as possible?Or you might choose to relax your mind and look for work again after a while.
Do you have better advice for work?
I wrote a similar post a few days back as well, a full-time investment cannot be a substitute of any kind of work that you do in your daily life until you have invested like 5 million dollars into a fixed fund which gives you back 200-250k in sort of fixed income each year. Only these sorts of investments can become substitutes of full-time job because other than this markets like crypto are very volatile you'll see it dipping and bearish for 24 months and then it will boom for some time, your daily needs cannot wait for that much long of a time and neither can you create such a big emergency fund for yourselves as well. So it's better to just avoid such thoughts and find a new job which may be right after you are fired or after some while.
615  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX Finally Files For Bankruptcy After Binance Refused Bailout on: November 11, 2022, 05:07:03 PM
Very sad news for the overall crypto community, honestly this is reducing consumer confidence so much and worst part is that all this is proving governments and authorities absolutely right. They will try to give these reasons to ban cryptos and bring stringent legislation against Cryptos as well. It's so surprising that exchanges keep the backup assets in assets other than the original assets. All of this also promoting monopoly in the market which is very bad too.
616  Economy / Speculation / Re: I hope this Bitcoin dip won't be deeper? on: November 10, 2022, 05:46:43 PM
Based on recent trend in Bitcoin, this is the worst year in crypto history and the year is not over yet. I was talking to a friend this morning concerning the current crypto trend and guess what? This dude is loosing hope already.

And I don't even know how to encourage myself to invest more in Bitcoin, is it right for me to go ahead and buy the dip ?
In these sort of Dips i have simple rule, if you are out of the market, simply invest at this point accept the fact that even if there will be a greater dip you'll not be sure that it's the final one so invest when you see daily or weekly RSI under 30 as it will eventually rise from that point. If you are in the market then stop seeing the market altogether. You'll only end up screwing yourself with more regrets and nothing and if you try to sell to buy later it'll be the biggest mistake as you'll not actually able to buy at the right price and regret later so stay away from the market.
617  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest 1 day spike in supply held by entities with 0.01 to 1 BTC on: November 10, 2022, 04:46:42 PM
Honestly a very good thing. Not only because retailers are moving to private key wallets but that retail investors have now become this much intelligent that they are aware of the risk that these custodial exchanges are just looting away your money by competing against each other and eventually if you are on such an exchange you will always lose money. I really like this change but This is an opportunity for decentralised exchanges to buckle up and give more trading opportunities to people as wallets are not effecient enough for exchange.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too many chickens own BTC. Don't be a chicken, HODL! BE A LION. on: November 10, 2022, 04:42:45 PM
This is the real issue BTC is facing. Chickens get afraid and sell even if they lose their money. They don't even understand how crypto works.

I've never sold a satoshi since 2013. I know BTC will rise back and one day will hit the 100k and beyond. In a way I'm glad this is happening, more strong hands and less chickens. HODL! Hoping to buy more if it gets down to 10k.

Haven't even heard about FTX until now lol. This shows how panicked I am Grin

1 BTC = 1 BTC. That's all you need to know. Less drama, live longer.
This is actually good only if you know. As most of the people will exit which we also call the weak hands in crypto will exit the market. This is good only as these weak hands will provide liquidity for the big vc investors who will actually accumulate in this bear phase and convert this into bull run. These chickens will once again enter the market when the market will roam around all time high.
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coins on an exchange, any exchange, are never safe on: November 09, 2022, 08:14:54 PM
Every day it seems a new story emerges about an exchange going bankrupt. Has been a recurring pattern since the Mt. Gox collapse. Why, with so many examples of failures, do people continue to keep their money on these? You don't own crypto if you have "coins" on an exchange, you have an IOU from a business that may or may not even be solvent.
Honestly I am starting to believe this as well now. I fact I would say buying coins is not safe at all. First LUNA and now FTT, it really looks as if Cryptos are made of nothing but a bubble, a fictitious demand created on a dramatic idea which exists only in theory when it faces a slightest of practical challenge it just bursts. I feel one should only hold decentralised Cryptos only and not even touch the Cryptos where exposure of a single entity is more than 20-30%. I feel this is the only way to be safe in this market otherwise be ready to lose your hard earned money.
620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early Sign to Adopt Bitcoin by Nigerian Government on: November 06, 2022, 07:09:50 PM
Early ours on Saturday, 5th November, 2022 Nigerian Government announcement from it National Radio Broadcast that the government is willing to train about over 30,000 Nigerians in blockchain, specifically Bitcoin. The government is planning Nigeria to be the number one play in the crypto space in Africa. Some of the trainees who will complete the training, will have chanced to be in the London incubation programme while others will be giving the opportunity to become Bitcoiners as Satoshi's vision of the currency.
And the government  is inviting the citizens to take this opportunity and expose themselves in the new technological revolution.

Report: Over 30,000 Nigerians to Learn About Blockchain From Government Agency

Looks like Nigeria is all set to become a crypto haven. Just like Asian countries took advantage of the technological revolution, I think Nigeria wants to take advantage of the crypto revolution and want to train its Population in advance for this. This is a great thing as you would see a lot of crypto startups are looking up locations to open up their offices and most of them find Islands like Bahamas or Malta which obviously aren't considered very legitimate by rest of the world which is why Nigeria can be a new hotspot, it'll be dirt cheap and with such good human resource it will be quite impressive as well.
