Just 1 question... If you are going to use 50% of the $5000 USD worth of shares to the lottery winner, why didn't you just transfer ~ $2,500 and do 100% of that to the lottery winner.. Is there a plan for the other 50% or is that just yours?  (Just trying to see if there's anything else up your sleeves! lol)

50% of the BTC held at that address will be distributed weekly.  This is to cut down on volatility and ensure that even if no block is found by P2Pool, there will still be a lottery distribution.
Right, I understood that much.. I was just wondering about the other 50% that isn't distributed weekly to the lottery winner..

Either way, thanks again! (Now I just need to get some lottery tickets and then win!)

I have transferred ~$5,000 worth of NastyFans seats to a separate account and am donating the distributions from those seats to an address that has been setup for NastyPool.  The current plan is to have 50% of the BTC at that address distributed to the weekly NastyPool lottery winner on an ongoing basis as a way to provide greater than 100% mining payouts to our miners.  No word on when the mining lottery will begin, but you can earn tickets now by mining on nastyfans.org:9332 and using your Bitcoin address as your username.
That's awesome - thank you.

I think any promotion is good at this point.
The more we can get people to notice it the better.
There are no real negatives to NastyPool and NastyMining.  As people learn they will join.
I'm in agreement

I just took a look at the graphs and unless I'm just jumping to conclusions, it looks like the BFL hashing went offline - I wonder if that means they are shipping the first few units...
Or perhaps I don't know what I'm looking at - which is probably the case... Smiley

Lots of trees down and power outages. I was very fortunate and made out ok. There are still thousands without power but I'm not one of them. Our single under my control is up and mining as of an hour or so. Next time I'll be more prepared with back up power and will be potentially able to mine through a power grid outage.  We had plenty of winter storms that affected others but not us because I am so close to power stations. A lot of big trees were uprooted in an area where natural disasters and high winds are very rare.  Wind, solar and generator back up are going to be installed here soon.
Glad you made out alright.. We just had a thunderstorm last night knock out the power and take a number of trees down.  My power came back up aroun 1am but my internetprovider was down until sometime this morning so the single I'm running was down for a number of hours last night.

Hey folks,  I've been hit by hurricane Arthur. No power for the next few days. I'll update as soon as I'm back up and running our single.
Hope everyone's ok there and you don't have too much damage!

Is that with the BFL gear hashing also?
I hope not - we should have more than that even though the BFL 3 TH/s hasn't been going for very long..

What IP address should it be resolving to?

176.28.50.57

Feel free to use https://176.28.50.57 for the time being instead of nastyfans.org if you are uncomfortable with changing your DNS for the nastyfans.bit site.

176.28.50.57:9332  <---  Miners can point here until domains4bitcoins.com gets their DNS issues resolved.  My apologies for taking so long to relay this information.
Thanks, as soon as I get home I'll put a temporary entry in my hosts file.
So I finally got home an put the entry in.. I'm back up..

Very odd...  I sent an email to our domain provider yesterday but have not yet received a response.  It is working for me in my location, so it definitely isn't a global outage or anything on our end.
What's the IP address, I can put an entry into the hosts file for now..

Not the end of the world if your miner is offline for a day. Enjoy your Sunday and check it later.  Wink
Am I the only one having problems though? That'd be indicative that it's on my side... Anyway, thanks.  I'll leave it running and hopefully it works itself out.. And I'll check when I get home.
614  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: June 29, 2014, 03:24:41 PM
Don't stress it. I'll contact our domain provider today and find out why this keeps happening. It should fix itself for you shortly.
I'm stressing!  I have to leave for a while today soon...

Crap it happened again. I'm not sure what's going on.. Working on it guys..
It's looking like it's something at my provider.. Can't resolve to nastyfan.org at all on any of my computers.  Rebooting my router again..
616  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: June 29, 2014, 02:53:35 PM
Something must have changed with the Domain provider.  I was warned about it yesterday by nonnakip, but the site was still working fine for me so I didn't think twice about it.  I assume any outages due to this will be short lived and won't require anything on our end.

EDIT:  Looks like you were down for about 3 hours.  Not the end of the world.  Smiley   Worth noting that NastyMining uses a local node and is not effected by this.

Is there something going on with the DNS for Nastyfans.org?  I checked in on the single I'm running and noticed that it can't connect to the site.. Not sure if it's on my end or what..
Yay, I'm back.. Not sure what happened, sorry guys.. Don't think I was down for too long - 45 minutes maybe..

...I activated the offer and we are currently mining 3TH/s on Eclipse...

I don't know anything about Eclipse.  Anyone know if there is a public link to view the status? Also anyone know about how often Eclipse 'pays out'?

Well, thank you for your loss! (while ghash is over 50 nao.)

No, but seriously, supported with what and how did it help? Does nastyscam own even 1% of the network? Lol.

Check yourself before you wreck yourself.
Investing in anything is a risk. Some perform amazingly, some loose and everywhere in between. Either way, diversifying your portfolio is generally looked upon as a good idea.  For myself and some others, NastyMining is a hedge of sorts.. Not to mention I like the people here - a very positive, thoughtful and down to earth group without much drama.  I like the vision and while the USD that I used to purchase BTC for investing in NastyMining would be worth more now if I had just kept the BTC, I still have some BTC in my wallet and that is worth a lot more than it was..

If you invested more than you could afford to loose, shame on you. If you are just sore because you didn't recognize the fact that this could happen, it's your own fault - own it, don't call this a scam.

That's all I have to say on the topic..
