601  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: May 15, 2020, 02:53:45 PM
50/50
On the one hand this is a good trend showing that the gov and the head of state are ready for changes and do not mind joining the rapidly developing digital economy and the synthetic digital economy.
On the other hand, this is bad because managers will decide that since they themselves have made a "state cryptocurrency" then "private" cryptocurrencies are not needed and will start a policy to promote their "good" and simultaneously start a crusade against the already existing free crypto market.

yes, there will be pros and cons on this matter. but for crypto users, i think it will have more benefits on their side. because once the government is accepting crypto, it means they can freely transact with other crypto, unless the government will ban the use of other crypto, i don't think that will be the case here. so it is now up to the user how he will manage his crypto portfolio. anyway, the government will not know his every move when you are talking about crypto. so it is on his side how to strategize his dealings.

Another couple of years and all cryptography will crumble under the power of quantum computers. And then the question will arise - is our quantum companies against you or not?  If not,  here is nothing to fear. And we will have new quantum resistant wave of cryptography. And if they aree against you, you will have to think about how to save your money and data from them

603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough of bounty scam, you can help to stop it too. on: May 12, 2020, 01:45:19 PM
There are many ways to recognize bounty scammers, but I believe that in addition to you own sensitivity and vigilance against scam the site administration should also monitor campaigns for fraud. This will not only reduce the risk of bounty scammers coming to the forum, but also provide additional reliable verification of the campaign's integrity.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ADA or XLM on: May 12, 2020, 01:18:20 PM
As already advised above, you can buy both coins. A good solution for both diversification and personal interest as an altcoin investor - who will "win" and become more expensive. I believe that their cost will be higher, so buying everything at once will be a good decision.
605  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese Strategy? on: May 11, 2020, 02:31:07 PM
Even if the next day China announces that the vaccine is already available I still very much HOPE that we will se adequate but strict international charges against China
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will another altcoin rise to overtaken Bitcoin? on: May 11, 2020, 02:27:18 PM
No one will rise above BTC until BTC ceases to be a universally recognized "entry point" to cryptocurrencies. The community itself prays for BTC and therefore btc dominance will remain so big.
As long as you believe in BTC - BTC will own the market like an Emperor.
607  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: May 11, 2020, 02:05:00 PM
In response to all these losses, different countries are taking different measures to help small and medium-sized businesses.
We shouldn’t worry about the fate of large companies - they have their own reserves and if necessary, the state will pump their with money. To reduce losses, try to help yourself in some way: go to local stores instead of hypermarkets, use the delivery of local cafes, and so on.
In the end the weakest will leave because they could not compete but others will take their place. After every crisis there will be the rise
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think 40% bonus is too much for early Investors? on: May 09, 2020, 11:14:37 AM
If you see a 40% bonus , you can safely call the project a pyramid and not contact it. This is one big red flag. There are already a lot of stupid projects on the market (as you know) that make people lose money. Best that you can do - just ignore them and dont invest anything
609  Economy / Economics / Re: What N America and Europe need to start on now! on: May 09, 2020, 11:03:59 AM
All your points and all your "we must" rest on one thing - everyone wants to be programmers/managers/entrepreneurs/etc and no one wants to be a plumber/warehouse worker/conveyor worker/[any other "low-skilled" profession]. People do not want to get their hands dirty and are used to all the "non-prestigious" work being done for them by others. "Higher education is necessary for everyone!" they were talking, and they were running up student loans. "You should create your own business, not working for your Uncle Sam," they said and they after they increased loans rate too.
A person SHOULD be able to get his hands dirty and not consider that he is losing face. If people will think that working as a gardener/garbage man/shop assistant is for losers we will never get economy back
610  Economy / Economics / Re: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE A NASTY DIVORCE AND A FAT BTC WALLET? on: May 09, 2020, 10:37:39 AM
revived due to the spam above. ^

isn't there some state that considers BTC as property?

BTC will remain to you because from the point of view of the law, they are not money/property (almost in any country in which you live). If you are getting a divorce, it means that you were not sure about your woman all this time and therefore did not tell her about how much btc you have/whether they are at all.
And in General, it is better not to divorce (this wish mean to look for the person with whom you will definitely not divorce)

there are just instances that married people fall out of love. or having problems especially when one party wants to have a kid and other can't produce. i don't know if its a ground for divorce but s/he will really think he wasted his time when s/he could have kids to other partner. so before the sperm counts gets lower, better decide.  Grin

just give what your wife deserves so she can go on as well. you can earn your BTC again.

It seems to me that it is time to change the system - and not to give the 50% of your wealth to your wife, but to give these 50% in favor of their child (if he remains with his wife). I would not want my child to be raised by a other man and I would not want him to watch as his mother tries to find (if she is looking for) a new man with all the resulting injuries.

612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto really go to zero? on: May 07, 2020, 02:51:27 PM
Whether cryptocurrencies will die or not depends only from one VERY SMALL thing - governments regulation.
If they will decide that they do not need uncontrolled money exchange services, then they will start a "witch hunt" with all the consequences.
And if they decide that crypto is not so bad then we will see a cryptocurrency account in Paypal.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good capital managemt is important on: May 07, 2020, 02:43:38 PM
The crypto community will generate similar posts with a stability of 1 piece/month from time to time - and people will still take loans and borrow money to buy another "breakthrough and innovative" token. The main rule can be only one: learn from other people's mistakes to avoid own.
Yes, money management is important (just like in everyday life). Yes, thinking with your own head and not making stupid and popular mistakes is also important (as in normal life). But it still won't help because everyone thinks they are smarter than others
614  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. economy contracted sharply in the first quarter of 2020 on: May 07, 2020, 02:32:05 PM
i don't mean to be a downer, but this could go on for years. since there is no vaccine or herd immunity, experts are expecting cases to rise again after reopening---not to mention during the winter flu season. are you gonna feel safe flying in airplanes, eating in restaurants/bars, shopping often? lots of people won't.

and then you have the economic damage: so many people will be broke (and unemployed) after this, not spending money. as abhiseshakana points out, consumer spending is vital to the american economy. it accounts for something like 70% of all economic activity.

without a miracle treatment/vaccine, i don't see a quick recovery happening. Sad
I'm not saying that it is not necessary to develop vaccines to treat people and to support them. I'm saying that getting out of the current situation will be faster than trying to get out of the great depression or 2008.
As soon as they find a fully working 100% method of vaccination, the world will come to life again and everything will be as before in just a year and a half.

the most optimistic estimate for a widely produced and safe vaccine = 1.5 years. and that would be record-shattering for vaccine development so let's not get our hopes up too much. 5+ years is the typical development cycle, and sometimes (as with the SARS coronavirus) no vaccine is ever successfully developed.

the economic damage is quickly surpassing 2008. maybe this recession will end up somewhere between 2008 and the great depression.

All right then we'll all go back 20 years and then another Hitler will be born and reshape Europe. Is that what you wanted to read here? I'm just trying to be a little optimistic at the time when every site is filled with information noise and news shit.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO SCAM on: May 06, 2020, 01:03:38 PM
Let's be honest with each other. Any ICO is a mix of casino and thimble games. Even a very cool and reliable project can burst like a soap bubble and can be absolutely useless or very questionable project can soar to the skies. Experience + reviews + luck and nothing else here will help
616  Economy / Economics / Re: Socialism vs Capitalism Meme Review on: May 06, 2020, 12:54:50 PM
I am against socialism at least for the reason that I do NOT like that my taxes that I pay from my salary (and not small taxes) are used for:
- treated homeless people
- paid pensions to old people
- saving drug addicts
- the stupidest laws on even bigger taxes were being promoted
- etc
Socialism in any of its manifestations brings up whole armies of social parasites (unemployment benefits, unconditional income, minimum wage, and other heresies). I am much more comfortable living in a place where all people work and get a decent pay for their work than in a place where 60% work and 40% get money just because they are single mothers/migrants/have been fired/elderly
617  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. economy contracted sharply in the first quarter of 2020 on: May 06, 2020, 12:15:04 PM
I think you're overreacting. The drop in GDP is due to the closure of most shops, air transport and tourism.
Yes, there will be drawdowns in the economy and they will be quite noticeable. But how quickly it all started - so quickly everything will recover, I believe.

Anyway, investors think that even without vaccines economy will start to recover in  2021 Q1

Yes, there will be drawdowns in the economy and they will be quite noticeable. But how quickly it all started - so quickly everything will recover, I believe. Those who have survived-will open their doors again everything will be fine. This is a crisis but in contrast to the 2008 crisis. it is caused by external factors and not by the madness in the derivatives market.
Everything will be fine, we just need to wait
619  Economy / Economics / Re: Just a remark about Bitcoin, Gold and Water... on: May 04, 2020, 08:23:01 AM
And where is the link between btc and water? Technically, all water on the planet could be potable (sea / ocean water can be purified to the state of drinking) and not so limited in those scales in which btc or gold are limited.
If you look at the history of the gold was chosen as a currency / security because of its acceptable rarity, quite easy to process (gold is soft) well, it is just beautiful and shiny.
BTC is more like gold - in itself it does not carry any value as such it is just a contract between people that now you can buy/sell something for BTC and that BTC is now a currency that can become more expensive and cheaper.
The connection with water is still zero.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coins are 👎👎👎 on: May 04, 2020, 08:05:59 AM
"Why do we need new phones because existing phones perform all the same functions as well or even better than new ones!!!"
Do you know anything about how the market works? There is a demand for new coins as a means of making a profit - new coins appear (whether they make a profit or not is another question).
It is possible that in the future there will be coins that are better than btc/eth. cryptocurrency market will grow and develop. Think of it as an opportunity to go to McDonald's today tomorrow to KFC the day after tomorrow to Chipotle and next week to go to a Michelin starred restaurant.

I still don't understand about what u say, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency,it is a decentralized digital currency, did u understand what currency mean ? and you dare to equate it with stuff ?
And also your explanation about how market works its no sense.
There is no demand for new coin, the first thing is project come to the market with a briliant idea, then people looking for it,then they speculate, are this good for investement or not.

Any currency is a product needed to get another product, whether it's a Burger or another currency. Currency is just a single and generally accepted measure of value and it is quite possible to perceive it as a commodity.
If there was no demand for new coins, projects would not have held an initial offering to issue these coins.
Yes this demand consists solely of speculative intentions but it is still a DEMAND lol
