601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting a living from Gmabling alone is possible? on: October 15, 2015, 03:54:18 PM
@ the OP -

If you're thinking about trying to become a professional gambler my advice would be to you - don't bother.
I'm sure some people can make a living out of gambling but the vast majority will fail, I'm sure many have lost everything trying.

Gambling is a hobby, it should be fun. Don't ruin your life chasing a dumb, impossible dream. Jobs are boring but they put food on the table, most people can't be some kind of fantasy, gambling maverick.

Gambling is just for fun, not to get real income from that.
Actually everyone want to win in gambling. So when you win, inplicitly you ruin other people lives. Opss

There are games that are not played against other players, but against the house. If you win you'll get money from them, and they won't be ruined because they usually win against poor players like you
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: October 15, 2015, 03:52:59 PM
I don't gable to earn money. I know it is almost impossible to earn more than you invested. I rather like the thrill of uncertainty gambling brings.
I usually bet only low stakes, maximum 0.001 BTC. So I don't cry later when I lose.

It is REALLY difficult to make profit with gambling, gambling is meant to entertain not to make profit. If someone wants to make profit and have that gambling feeling he should try the stock exchange.

No it is not difficult at all, gambling is the easiest way to make profit and living.
The chance to win in gambling is 50:50 , if you win your money get doubled if not try again and again.
It is so simply right? If you decide to be a professional gambler then you should learn a lot. If not you just need to find your lucky.

But if you lost, how can you "try again and again"? Where can you get the money?

The answer is simple (to wright, but not to have irl): infinite supply. Yes you can make living from gambling if you have an infinite supply of money. This was stated many times before and I can see no other option.

There is not such thing as infinite supply. Even fiat money is limited.

Unless you have much more than you bet, like you have billion $ and martingale starting with $1.

But if you have that much money, why bother to gamble for so little?
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you play loteries ,did you won something on: October 15, 2015, 03:48:56 PM
Sometimes in local loterries and raffles. But very rare and not in the last few years. The odds of win are so low that it doesn't attract me

Never won any significant prize. Maybe $1 or $2 that were not worth the time to claim the prize
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: October 15, 2015, 03:42:49 PM
There are professional blackjack players that would also beg to differ.

This doesn't work long-term, because you're banned long before you make a lot of profit.

I am quite sure counting cards is illegal, so even if you manage to count them you probably won't make a profit, just like Ranlo says here.  I could be wrong but I think it is illegal at most casinos.

You're right; it is. It's seen as theft/exploitation.

I thought this was not illegal?  Isn't it just frowned upon?  How do they actually know you are counting cards as well?  Seems rather odd that they would just come up to you and say, hey you have been counting cards we need you arrested?

It's all just patterns, and it's easily deciphered. It's not illegal like jail time, but it's illegal to the casino.

Then I can't use my memory in the game?

How will they discover me, do they have mind reading devices that know when some people is memorizing the cards and when they are not?

You've never been to a casino, have you?

Yes, I never have been in a real life casino.

It is more or less unecessary when you know Bitcoin

There are pit bosses at each game watching players. Each table has multiple cameras that have various types of recognition (they can detect things like stress, certain facial features, etc.). And last but not least, it's obvious if you're winning most of the time because, well, you're winning most of the time. It's not hard to figure out.

So if you win most of the time they might think you are cheating?  I know several people who play Blackjack at a casino here and I have seen them walk away up 2,000 dollars in less than 2 hours.  They have gone back multiple times I know, and have won multiple times.  Any reason why they are not getting into trouble?

Continuous wins are watched with eagle eyes in every Casino.

They probably will use them as market to attract more players that will lose much more than the lucky one won.

Like: "see this dude that turned 10 btc into hundreads, come, you can be the next.". I think everyone already received an email like this from some casino
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My goal to earn 1,000bitcoins within 3years on: October 15, 2015, 03:32:08 PM
This is not realistic approach to make 1000 bitcoins from faucet even in 5 years. In gambling it is possible only then if you have luck and good bank roll. You need to be luck on each hand to reach to your goal.

of course he will reinvest in high risky investments.

but still unlikely he'll get from faucets to 1000 BTC, otherwise there would not be enough BTC for everyone.

he most likely will end being scammed or losing everything after a bad luck streak

Italy vs Norway Italy win
Holland vs Czech Republic Holland win
Malta vs Croatia over 2.5 goals
Belgium vs Israel Belgium -1 or over 1.5 goals
Wales vs Andorra over 3.5 goals
Turkey vs Iceland under 3.5 goals

what do you think guys?

Italy can win, OK.
Holland have to win but can they? OK.
Easy game for Croatia, they can score +3 goals, OK.
Belgium is better side, they can win by 2 at least, OK.
If Bale don't play then Wales couldn't get 4 goals. Skeptical.
1 point is enough for Turkey to be no.3 in the group. Less than 4 goals is very possible, OK.

Very good picks overall.

bad for holland, wales and croatia.
holland really very bad performance in this year.
Bale play, but he can not score a lot of goals, only 1 goal Undecided
It seems like a curse for every team has got 3rd in world cup they must got problem in europe qualification

Holland game is very poor nowadays, I think they must change the coach asap.

Not only coach but also they have to find new young talents. I think there must be so many talents in Holand.

Netherlands is a small country with 16M people only.

They don't have much options, and with such small population will be hard find new top players any time soon

16m people is not a small number considering all the European countries. There are countries with just 8-9m people that have pretty decent teams. I guess it just depends on the quality of the youth academies and stuff  Cool

Of course it depends on the generation, sometimes they are good, sometimes they are not.

Netherlands has a history of being a top team, better than most of small european countrie
607  Economy / Gambling / Re: Magicaldice.com | Officially Launched | Bitcoin Dice Website | Fancy Rolling on: October 15, 2015, 03:05:32 PM
Maybe they should add russian chat tab, like most other dice websites Wink

It is not a must IMO, English is enough because it is international language and I think most people who love to gamble with bitcoin is accustomed already with English language. If not, so they can use google translate Smiley

But I see people talking several languages in the chat.

They should create rooms with different languages or put mods to enforce english as the chat language
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Games Prediction Thread on: October 13, 2015, 08:39:13 PM
Netherland is without control, with this lose game is 4th in the group , but now the Czech Repubblic is in 10 man , Netherland can have chance for draw.

I see on tv Italy- Norway, for now italy lose and is second to group , but have difference for first or second team?

Van Persie scores two times. Too bad one in the wrong goal.

Turkey is playing with 10 men and need a win to be the best number three. it will be a few more exiting minutes.

And it is over. Turkey scored.

But Iceland second in the group was a surprise anyway
609  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a bitcoin address can be recovered from public key??? on: October 13, 2015, 08:33:53 PM
In theory no, because the odds of collision would be the same as an meteor destroy earth in the next seconds.

But if your random number generator is broken, maybe
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Games Prediction Thread on: October 13, 2015, 08:27:58 PM
Netherlands and Italy are counter-attacking

Italy probably will win and Netherlands may do another goal, like they did agains Mexico in WC
611  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: October 13, 2015, 08:26:00 PM
Have shitload of luck and people to protect and guide you.

99.9999....% of rich people are rich because of other, but since people want to feel they have full control of their lives, they self-deceive by thinking the opposite
612  Other / Archival / Re: . on: October 13, 2015, 08:21:24 PM
What is the shipping for the start war trading cards?

Wordwide

(also a list of cards would be nice if not asking too much)
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Games Prediction Thread on: October 13, 2015, 08:12:25 PM
for the south america classification games:

Ecuador vs Bolivia: Ecuador
Uruguay vs Colombia: draw
Argentina vs Paraguay: Argentina
Brazil vs Venezuela: draw
Peru vs Chile: Chile

The South American WC qualification games are always really difficult to predict. I wish you luck bro but I always leave these games alone, I never bet on them.

I made no bets too, I just predicted for fun.

Only one I would bet is Peru vs Chile because Chile is in great form. But Lima is high in the mountains, so it might affect them
614  Economy / Services / Re: Ore-Mine.org - Signature campaign - Earn 0.08 BTC for two weeks on: October 13, 2015, 08:08:30 PM
You should include the payment date in the OP.

I see people complaining that they wrongthought the payment date in the future when they don't make enough posts
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Physical Bitcoin Mints? on: October 13, 2015, 08:06:08 PM
Ask the people that sell the coins in the goods sections.

I think it is not much different than other physical coins, except byt the hologram, so people that mint coins probably will be able to mind physical cryptos too
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: October 13, 2015, 08:04:33 PM
With nothing that I can really offer, I can only really suggest a set of good faucets or something, moonbit is a faucet that is my fave recently

You can earn coins there quickly I will admit that.  He also wants coins to come in large amounts.  This is not possible from Moonbit or any other faucet unless you get super duper lucky.  Try other things though as I suggested earlier.
faucets could be effective if you have a set of referrals to back you up and increase your earnings in a small amount of time
but as stated in the op he has some skills in coding which could boost his earnings

referrals are better in other sites, like gambling sites and similar

you basically will get a tiny part of the tiny amount the people you refer get

I think it is not even worth the time you spend to spread your referral
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The more you know... on: October 13, 2015, 07:59:20 PM
Yes, but things won't look so good when you compare PIB and number of units in circulation
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to choose to put 5 BTC into 1 BTC investment, what would that be? on: October 13, 2015, 07:51:59 PM

619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Start a Gambling Site on: October 13, 2015, 07:48:17 PM
Market is never too saturated for creativity and some skills ! Even though most of the promoters around are into gambling or betting sites you can always out run them in the long run by creating something which is not there ! Start a gambling site  maybe with free option to play or better games to play ,overall a good user experience. If once players get hooked up to it, you will have your bacon! The idea is to make something which has not become  a cliche !

What if I truly believe I've got the creativity and have a brilliant idea for a new gambling game/site, but don't have the skills to code nor the legal standing to host one since I'm in the US?  I really believe the game I have in mind will be a big hit.  If any one knows any body who would like to start a partnership to create the "next big thing" for online gambling, please respond to me, or shoot me a PM.  I would love for someone to jump aboard and help create it, if they are in a jurisdiction that allows them to make online gambling site; and in return I will do all campaigning and marketing of the game.

I've also got some spare funds to fund the creation of the site, but with this game you don't need a bank roll to start out (No it's not a ponzi).

Have you already made all the business stuff that the business people tell you to do before you open a business?

Like: what will be your public target, how much setup and maintain the site will cost, etc
