Also, use your head.

DO YOU REALLY THINK SOMEONE WOULD SEND 127 BITCOINS TO A LAUNDERING SITE THEY'VE NEVER USED BEFORE???

Come on, folk, seriously. This has to be one of the most absurd extortion scams in history.

The people sending me those PMs are 1. Jeran Campanella and 2. the guy who left me negative feedback (note: he never did any business with me at all)

He just decided to leave negative feedback so he could try to extort me for 0.8btc to remove it.

Here is evidence of even more EXTORTION/BLACKMAIL against me.  These are PMs I received over the past few days.  I think these threats speak for themselves:

I'm not going to waste my time on this absurd thread other than to direct people to the extortion/blackmail attempt of Jeran Campanella which I detail here:

605  Economy / Speculation / Re: $500,000 per Bitcoin, baby. The math behind it. on: August 01, 2014, 07:44:25 PM
I think $500k/coin would not happen because if the market grows that big, other altcoins will drain market share.

Compliments to the mods on Bitcointalk. I think they do an AWESOME job of keeping this forum relevant and spam-free.  Unlike mods on many other forums, they aren't petulant, abusive or domineering.  Instead they are real professionals.

I notice on forums that everyone always criticizes mods when they do a bad job but rarely praises them for a job well done.  This post is just a quick 'Thank-You' to the mods for doing a stellar job on Bitcointalk ...

609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The best Bitcoin cold storage? on: July 27, 2014, 04:55:35 PM
The service https://BitArmored.com is extremely high-security cold storage with a Live/Hot Wallet for instant transfers and option to store large amounts offline in cold storage.  You can even request an encrypted flash drive containing an electrum wallet which is what we use for each client's funds.

disclaimer: I own the website

612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin fading away? on: July 26, 2014, 06:30:37 PM
Bitcoin is hardly fading ...

More and more companies are accepting Bitcoin. The main problem is that existing Bitcoiners are HOARDING and mainstream adoption by consumers is lagging. But that will come around ...
613  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Domains4Bitcoins Resell.biz Domain Hijacking! on: July 26, 2014, 06:16:34 PM
I should also note that most of those domains they suspended are not even active.  The only one running an active website was bitforum.org, which is a bitcoin magazine site that I barely update and haven't had time to do anything with.  Can't imagine what kind of 'fraud' or 'spam' or 'abuse' could be done on that site!  They just randomly suspended a bunch of inactive domains that I wasn't even planning on renewing.  I'll get them back just to prove a point, as I have a great lawyer on the team.  Nevertheless, Bitcoiners really need to beware that Domains4Bitcoins is a HIGHLY INSECURE REGISTRAR which will suspend your domain based on any kind of complaint.  In other words, any enemy/extortionist/scammer can easily get your domain nuked, and if you don't have a lawyer, you may lose your domain forever.

Beware!
614  Economy / Service Discussion / Domains4Bitcoins Resell.biz Domain Hijacking! on: July 26, 2014, 06:09:56 PM
Bitcoiners BEWARE of Domains4Bitcoins!

This is the second time in a year that their parent company RESELL.BIZ has attempted to hijack some of my domains.

They can demand COMPANY INCORPORATION documents, ID, proof of address and more simply if they receive a complaint about your domain.  This means that ANYONE can effectively terminate your domain by sending a complaint to Resell.biz, which owns Domains4Bitcoins.

This is one of the most INSECURE domain registrars on the planet.  They don't verify complaints, and they will suspend your domain at the drop of a hat.

Here is the email they sent me demanding company incorporation documents (!!) and proof of ID and address:

-----------------------
Hi Michael,

Please see the email we received below from the Administrators.  You can contact them directly at support@resell.biz.  Their phone number is 1-877-826-6890.

Could you please urgently investigate this matter and respond immediately with the steps taken to resolve this issue. The sites have already been suspended due to the nature of the issue.

The domain bitforum.org was reported to you for highly abusive activities such as Bitcoin scam / launder / fraud etc
Domain names involved in abusive activities.
Hence, we had suspended the remaining domain names and confirmed it to you on the same day.
If the client wishes to redress the action taken against the domain names, kindly obtain and submit the following details / documents for verification purposes:
1. Purpose of Registration of the domain name.
2. Company Registration Details or Proof of Incorporation.
3. Photo Identification proof of Registrant on record.
4. Address proof such as Utility bills (Telephone/ Electricity) etc.,

Newbie account does NOT mean scam

HOWEVER .. with no rep, transaction would have to go through a trusted escrow, obviously.

618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "You should assume your IP address can be associated with you.." -Gavin Anderson on: July 19, 2014, 10:26:37 PM
I wonder if this is true for electrum wallets?

Definitely NOT if you're running electrum with a VPN connected.

Also, IP addresses are NOT stored in the blockchain.
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York’s New Bitcoin Rules Are Going to Kill Its Startups on: July 19, 2014, 10:24:57 PM
NY regulation is a joke.

We will not comply, nor will we comply with Canadian regulation nor any other kind of regulation - PERIOD.

More regulation = less innovation = more monopolies = more government control of the money supply.
620  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My wallet is stolen! (10 BTC) on: July 19, 2014, 10:22:24 PM
Interesting.

I run an electrum wallet on my laptop and keep 10-25 coins on it at all times for daily transactions.

I'm online all day, and thus my electrum is online too.  I'd be pretty surprised to wake up and find my coins gone.

here's my address: 1DDWEQM11uMUKiqpGEWvBT2at3CjCw3Vra

Hack away!

So I'm guessing this guy probably got a RAT (remote access terminal) installed on his laptop by clicking on a link in an email or downloading an infected wallet client.
