601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Steemit, social media of the future? why not? on: April 06, 2018, 04:09:55 PM
What is steemit?

Steemit is one of the first steem apps, a social media platform based on the Blockchain platform. Currently there are 33425k users, with monthly post counts up to 234k with more than 600k monthly comments. Users create and host their content on Steemit and are rewarded by Steem for their work.
You post a content, images are attracted to Steemit.com and make money according to the value of the article. Even if your content is not the best, every post can earn rewards by contributing to the community. Everything in your life, your emotions, your thoughts or your ideas can all be of interest.

Three major currencies of Steemit

Steem: Steem is the basic unit of account on the blockchain Steem. All other units Steem dollars and Steem power get their value from the value of Steem.

Steem dollars (SMD): is a unit used to reward users for posting and hosting content. Each Steem dollar represents Steem equivalent to US $ 1. Steem dollars (SMD) are created so that the user is not affected by the oscillation rate of Steem coin.

Steem power (SP): is a contract signed by Steem and represents the amount of influence that an account has compared to the rest of the network. The more power Steem power accounts have, the higher their votes for posts or comments. Steem power also determines the weight of an account to vote for witnesses.
Accounts are created with a small amount of Steem stored as Steem Power. Content creators can choose 100% Steem power instead of 50% conventional currency and 50% Steem power. Users and investors can choose to turn liquid steels into Steem power, called Powering up.
Steem power can not be transferred or traded directly, but the owner of the account can choose to withdraw liquid liquid on a weekly basis at a rate of 1/13 of the total Steem Power account, called Powring Down. The account will be lost by Steem's rate of withdrawal.

How to get started?

Just like getting started with other social networks, you need to sign up for an account at steemit.com to use this site. Your account is also a wallet to receive and transfer money on the blockchain steem. Currently, to avoid abuse, the registration on this social network is manually activated, so after registration you have to take a few days to activate the account. After activating the account, the password will be generated by steemit yourself and quite long, you should copy the password again and save somewhere. NOTE: NEVER FORGET OR FOR LOST PASSWORD.

If you lose your password you will lose your account name permanently and the money in it. Your account name is stored on blockchain and it is unique, no one has the authority to manipulate your account and passwords including the creator of blockchain steem and steemit. So I suggest you save the text file and place it carefully and use the software lastpass to manage the password.

Later on, you will know that you do not need to use a pass to log in, write articles, and transfer money so only password to reset the account in case of need. Upvote and Reward Mechanism When your article or comments are valuable and to many people interested, you will get the upvote.

Up to the value of upvote you will have the expected bonus amount and will be paid after 7 days with 75% of that projected value in the form of steempower (SP) and steady dollar (SBD), default 50% SP and 50% SBD. However, you can choose to post at this post which can be 100% as SBD.

To make upvote of creating high value for article writers then you must have SP as high as possible. And when your SP value is high, then you can choose the weight to upvote for that article.

Also you can upvote other people's posts to be able to make money and it's called curation reward on social networking steem. To earn money with upvote you should upvote that article within about 15 to 30 minutes after writing the article. If you upvote before 15 minutes then that money will not be paid to you that fully paid for the article.

Posting To write articles on steemit you should not copy the article somewhere and want to earn money easily because the tracking bot will detect if you copy the article. Bot will downvote posts and reputation on steemit will be ruined. When the post is downvote it will be hidden away from being seen.

Conclusion This is a new social network and is expected much. Through this article I want you to participate actively to form a community of social networking.

607  Other / Meta / Re: Any advice on how I can earn merit? on: April 03, 2018, 02:48:26 PM
"You get merit points when someone sends you some for one of your posts. Additionally, when someone sends you merit points, half of those points can be sent by you to other people.
Certain users are designated as "merit sources". They can create new merit out of nothing, up to a limited number per month (which differs per source). I will not be posting a definitive list of merit sources (so that people don't bug them too much), though you'll soon figure out who they are if you pay attention.
There is currently no such thing as a "demerit". I'm hoping that the positive merits alone will be fine. I could add demerits pretty easily later on if necessary, though.
I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.
While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.
Do not beg for merit excessively."

To get merit you need to post quality posts, help new people get into forums ...
609  Other / Meta / Re: 14 merit bonus for quality users [Jr to Sr. Member] on: April 03, 2018, 01:38:58 PM
If you believe that you have quality posts for all 20 of your most recent posts then I will review them and if I agree I will give you 14 merit.
Sr. Members and below only.

However. if I heavily disagree I will add a neutral feedback to your account indicating that you are a spammer.
Game on. This is for those that complain about not being rewarded for quality content.

Disclaimer: I will only review the twenty posts that occur before your message.

*arbitrary amount is because of the sMerit I have left.

Please, don't send me merit. If you have merit to spare then give it to those that need it. Or save it, and in the likely case that there are more people here that deserve merit than I have available, you can send them the merit instead.
please review my post, thanks

Digital Currency Investors Still Optimistic After the Recent ‘Crypto Winter’
Huobi Research has recently published a cryptocurrency sentiment index-survey taken from 1,797 people stemming from various regions worldwide. Questionnaires were distributed over the internet and respondent identities cannot be confirmed Huobi explains. The sentiment index measured positivity and negativity in score ranges between 0 to 100 while a 50 point mean indicates the market cap remains unchanged.

611  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prices will continue to drop next week? on: April 03, 2018, 12:07:14 PM
BTC Overall, market sentiment was slightly down. Bitcoins prices continue to drop and there will be further increase in bearish pressure on BTC and altcoins.
I waited for the BTC price to drop that it had, Would that I was able to put some money into it now? I would like to have some comments here please.

I think that's a good time right now to invest in to any cryptocurrency, the price was 6700$ for bitcoin for smaller price they would not trade because it went up 2 days ago, so we can see that it is the bottom, the price will grow up even for other crypto currencies

The price right now is simply being affected by the few stupid people who borrowed to buy and now have to sell. Once those are flushed out the price will recover.
If you look at the order books you can tell by the slope of the ask and offer curves that far more people are interested in buying than selling at this and any price point near this.
612  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prices will continue to drop next week? Good times to invest BTC? on: April 03, 2018, 11:51:24 AM
Interest on bank deposits is 8% per annum, while inflation in my country is 10% per annum. So finding a good time to buy into BTC is wise. Yesterday I bought a good amount of BTC, if the BTC price hit the 12k mark in April, after subtracting transaction costs I could earn more than 30% in just one month. that's great
613  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prices will continue to drop next week? on: April 01, 2018, 02:56:35 PM
So many people waiting to buy into the BTC then hold to die, now is the right time to buy, BTC prices will be the big boss pumping when we sleep
614  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prices will continue to drop next week? on: April 01, 2018, 02:34:57 PM
BTC will continue to drop I will buy again at $ 6,380, in addition I also put some money into NEO coin now
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prices will continue to drop next week? on: April 01, 2018, 02:22:32 PM
When the price is too small for you then buy today. We cannot know when bitcoin will rise or low. Invest half now, when the price goes up quickly at least you have hold and if the price is super lower buy the half of your capital.

Thank you, that is wise because we do not know in advance BTC

This week some possible news are expecting because today all the coins are quite stable in the market. So it will pump soon again all the peoples are looking to buy this coin. But lot of regulations are possible in future it is drawback of this year. Overall Bitcoin price is unpredictable in future we don't judge anything in future.

The ban on bitcoin is impossible, the rules are probably just rumors of big bosses aiming to profit, in the future, Japan will take the lead in using the coin to pay and carry BTC prices peaked at the end of last year
617  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prices will continue to drop next week? on: April 01, 2018, 12:45:44 PM
I have heard a saying that "let's be greedy when others are scared, be scared when others are greedy" that is true of the cryto market
I also think BTC will be up to 12k in April
618  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prices will continue to drop next week? on: April 01, 2018, 12:28:47 PM
I bought 30% of my money and I think the BTC price will continue to drop in the next few days
