After reading the responses to my last post in this section I realize that there is merit to the current order of things here.
~snip~

I wonder then why this reply of yours is not in that thread, but you opened a new one? After so much time on the forum, you still act like a beginner who doesn't know what thread spamming is...

You're right idk what I was thinking I should have just updated it. After some thought I had to make amends to my not so well thought out post immediately but should have just stuck to the OP, I'm locking this thread and quoting it in an edit in the OP. Thanks

New forum software. But keep dreaming LOL

Keeping it OG is very important, while other changes seem necessary my recent suggestion is far from one that should ever be implemented. I realized how ridiculous I sounded after I went back and read what I wrote.
I think many of us have no understanding what you wrote back and what realization you are talking about. Do you have some links to provide for reading?

Yes of course just updates to software do that haha

One thing I realized after the fact is that the current comment layout helps to foster cumulative responses taking eveything said into account. If you want to keep up with this platform you have to be invested and sort through all of the commentary, this is something that is unique and also makes things more fun.

Posts that pop up like social media with an algorithm are engineered as such exactly to monetize, the organic posting nature of this forum is so unique it would be a shame and probably cause people to leave because nobody likes change.

605  Economy / Economics / Re: Was just watching the big short. Why do the times suddenly feel similar? on: September 15, 2023, 07:21:00 PM
I said it the other day whilst playing golf to my m8 that something big was brewing, I could just feel it. Could we be on the verge of some crazy market crashes like in 2008?

You know in the Big Short, Michael Burry not only just have a feeling or gut, he actually was reading the data about the mortgage balance sheet of 2003 and 2004, and he found it strange, that's how he correctly predicted the housing bubble burst in 2007. So, if you can elaborate more about your feeling, and maybe provide some data, then maybe we could have a real discussion here.

I wish I could say that I had this feeling due to looking through endless financial statements that I have deemed to be doomed to collapse, but that is not the case. All I can say is that when you have all these mortgages that are too hard for the average american to afford plus insane rates and inflation through the roof, the way the USA is going with the Biden administration is a complete train wreck and BRICs stacking countries brick by brick its like there is the crazy shit storm happening, I just feel like something has got to give one way or another, and soon, and in turn give rise to new heights for BTC and also there will be some new Global Reserve Currency. CBDCs are creeping up here, shoot man just so much is going on. Its honestly hard to keep track of everything, you blink and miss a ton of stuff. Literally. But anyway, what a great movie thought right?!
606  Economy / Economics / If the global economy collapses what's the first thing you do? on: September 14, 2023, 02:49:17 AM
Honestly if you have BTC congrats !!! We are heading  into a major economic shift and I feel like when the tides are turning like this there should be a conscious effort to land on the right side of that shift!!! Am I right? What should bitcoiners be doing right now to prepare for a potential global economic hardship other than the obvious which is to hodl and accumulate as much as you can...
607  Other / Meta / The comment layout is awful here on: September 14, 2023, 02:28:44 AM
Honestly can we make a push to bundle comments directed towards a certain side convo between users within a certain topic to stack directly underneath with a collapsible drop down that doesn't move the comments all the way to the last page? I feel like this system is due for an upgrade and could use some more social media like elements. ...

608  Economy / Economics / Re: On Apple's $200 billion dump and US shooting itself in the foot on: September 14, 2023, 02:25:14 AM
You have shared great news, but I doubt if it is new. I mean, of course, the news is of September 9, but what I meant here is the riot between China and the US. China has banned the usage of a lot of US products and ad services in its country, like social media apps. We cannot access YouTube, WhatsApp, etc. directly. Even if they have their own search engine, I think that's Baidu.

I said in the first line that the news might be old because one of my professors told us a few days ago that China has not allowed the usage of iPhones there. That's why I thought it might be old, but maybe the ban is from way back when, but the data released yesterday about how much they lost

Well, coming back to the losses, I do not really think the US will suffocate from such losses. I mean, that's not that big, but yeah, I totally agree with your point that the US is not the only tech nation here. But sometimes I wonder if the biggest wonders, like all the domains, are mentioned by them. They knew almost everything (in some conditions) one was searching for. We are basically using their product, knowingly or unknowingly. I always wonder, as a citizen of my country, if we could make some cool innovations that would make us independent of them. But I am not a good developer, and I hope someone else will do it.

China is next level dictatorship I feel like just in the worst way. If anyone needs BTC right now it's them, I would also add an invisible cloak to that list!!

In the age of Digital AI this term human capital will become much more well known in the future. And so will Bitcoin Capital  Cool
610  Economy / Economics / Re: The Bullish Case for Bitcoin, reloaded. on: September 14, 2023, 02:11:57 AM

611  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs are created for unemployment purpose on: September 14, 2023, 02:07:49 AM
We can see how traditional banking has helped in creating employment. Many people are employed in the banks. The banks and their employees are paying taxes.

I read this today: CBDCs will gradually displace private banks, says Russian lawmaker

It is about a Russian lawmaker that believes CBDCs will gradually displace fiat and traditional banking.

Can this be what would later happen?

Sadly they have already made the moves to downsize the banking locations for most all banks. Reduce the work force and replace them with automated tellers. Stopping acceptance of coins and issuing coins out in public and private banks as well has allowed banks to downsize and basically nearly reduce banks down to just a location with a few machines in them.
612  Economy / Economics / Was just watching the big short. Why do the times suddenly feel similar? on: September 14, 2023, 02:04:49 AM
Just watching that movie gave me such chills, my family and I lost our house we lost everything in 2008 when the housing market crashed. Honestly after living through it in the worst way you can see how I would be such an advocate for bitcoin. Many other folks didn't have to go though that, and so they don't quite understand. I couldn't hell but think how strangely similar the feeling back then how it almost feels like the same type of conditions for things to happen. I said it the other day whilst playing golf to my m8 that something big was brewing, I could just feel it. Could we be on the verge of some crazy market crashes like in 2008?
613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you had AI day trade bitcoin to make profits on: September 14, 2023, 01:59:42 AM
How would one do so efficiently? I am very interested.
Learn how to trade mate. Stop looking for easy ways out because you won't get any

I don't know what the fuss about AI is because there's nothing special. I have seen lots of trading tools created lately with an assurance of using AI to predict trades but they still record losses.

Yeah good point, there is no easy way. You're better off spending a good chunk of time just studying the markets and making some educated highly strategic moves, but even then there is still high risk. There is also still risk with AI
614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Owner of 8K bitcoin lost in landfill threatens to bankrupt local council on: September 13, 2023, 01:29:08 PM
Bro has lost it completely. My story goes to 2010 when I first had the opportunity to buy 200 BTC for $20 and I'm doing okay over here where I'm at just barely paying all my bills and entertainment lol. Now I have a like .1 BTC total lol. Such is life. My plan is to just earn more by means of forming a company that only accepts crypto, but I've never really had a start up so thank God we have AI lol

617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government vs Bitcoin on: September 05, 2023, 09:02:25 PM
It's only natural for the two to be at war. Neither can live while the other survives lol jk name that movie hah. Right now honestly it would work out in US favor if they just embraced it I think. Brics is a huge threat to the US government probably even more then bitcoin? But together they both pose a risk. Separate brics and usa could act as a catalyst for bitcoin longterm

620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Irrefutable evidence that mixers alone are unsuitable for money laundering! on: September 01, 2023, 01:59:37 AM
Wow, this was a lot and very interesting to read. I get more and more interesting with the methodology that the money landerers use, its fascinating. So much goes into this. In most cases it's also interesting that mixers are deemed as tainted coins, I mean naturally if you have nothing to hide then why go though such extreme measures? If you do then surely you're up to something and that's easy to get on the radar with the FBI or other governments. I wonder how many times stolen coins and traded in order to have "washed coins" truly blockchain has only hurt money launderers. At least with cash they could get rid of the trail, with crypto they lead others back to themselves despite all their attempts to hide it..
