Nice to see things heating up here! The price will rocket higher once the initial sellers are out.
CASH is extremely rare, the block rewards decrease as the difficulty goes up so mining is almost impossible for the little guys.
The price is much lower on FreshMarket and it doesn't take an hour to deposit. They're all I really use.

I'm getting out here and will see you guys at 6 satoshis Once we're below 10, the bottom will drop out. 2 satoshis is better  I agree, I'm getting popcorn for this one. I mean look, 17BTC worth of sell orders and only a measly 6BTC of buy orders? I will sell here and rebuy lower. I guess you're new here...should have seen moon. Taken in a vacuum you would almost tend to sympathize with the crocodile tears being shed by the dev for his moderation efforts.
You have to realize however, for the ones complaining about the deleted posts, this is a mode of operation that they have become used to through the running of their own site. At Btc-e they host a chat that is strictly monitored. Any mention of specific coins that they dislike, like Doge, or sites they dislike like Cryptsy most often leads to a ban of a week or more. They shroud this in not wanting talk of competing coins, but the moderation really only applies to the few pet peaves that they have, and an occasional 1 hour ban for others to add believability. Their default behavior is to censor so that their own propaganda can be heard above all else. It seems that the real solution would be to start other threads that they can't delete the posts on. Negative press is negative press, and if you have 100 threads screaming about the failure of the coin, its much more effective then posts 100 pages into the announcement.
The real irony is that they rail against Doge in particular for being premined, and a joke. Then at the same time they release a premined coin. Whatever the basis of that premine is. I don't really feel that a pre-mine is a horrible thing. All currency is pre-mined, I can't be mad that Joe Bob got ahead i the game, when he got there first. As long as there is 'enough' fairness, thats all there really needs to be. Still, there is some real hypocrisy involved here when they consistently deride other coins premine, and then one of their own releases a coin that so loudly touts its use of that tool.

A good way to compare the price of UTC is to look at CASH which was released a week or so ago. It's got the same specs as UTC (mainly) by being pow/pos and having a very low mintage. CASH is trading at half of UTC currently and I'd expect the variance to tighten. I love both coins though, it's a long term hold for me! |

I doubt it's dead, the devs are hopefully doing some big things behind the scenes and will have a big announcement for us in coming days. At least that's what I'm hoping is going on. Just be patient is my recommendation. |

The pool that was invite only? That had people charging for invites? Had majority hash for 24hrs? That one? Maybe you should have to pay to get on the list. To be fair the only reason it was invite only is because it was getting overloaded as it was. It was the only pool operational at launch that wasn't scamming people. Idcray is one of the only pools that stands strong on launch days, its members charging for invites has nothing to do with the operators. I know this because I've used them on various launches. |

It's either ready or it's not. Evidently they have other things to prepare for before the launch. Just be patient. First few days there is no block reward anyways, so jus check back periodically.

Hey guys, looking for some clarity about the PoS. Just a few questions that I'm sure many people are wondering.
When will it start? Does the timer start 30 days after your coins have been inactive? And mint new coins every 30 days? If so, what's the percent? I'm hearing 10% but people are saying that's annual.
Also when will the coin become completely PoS? Will that happen when the cap is hit, or at some earlier date?
