I do believe I have figured out what is going on here, from researching the industry and making comparisons of similar companies (and there are hundreds of them!) As I know that there is an accepted standardized model for almost every business, it was not difficult to determine the manner in which these firms do business. I can guarantee this is NOT a scam aimed at pump and dump. I would refer to it rather as an attempt by some very smart people to engineer the same success that Bitcoin achieved, through public relations. The whole urea-backed deal is a clever attempt to place upward pressure on the emerging market, by creating a "cover" for the book which is easily understood by the common man. I can assure you that they can and will deliver the product as they claim to, and can wait easily six months to a year, or possibly even longer, to make good on the financial end, just by the very nature of their business. The contract figure of 12500 tonnes is a clear indicator. Each of the four companies can execute 1 contract with no difficulty whatsoever, leading thereby to the total of 50,000 tonnes. In that sense, the coin is, indeed, truly backed by Urea at 1 Uro=1 metric tonne. The real question here, is do we want another Bitcoin? When Bitcoin is mined out in 2015, those who are holding asic equipment purchased for BIG money will want a compatible coin to be the next big thing, so they can continue to profit from their investment. If this coin reaches the value of 200-300 usd the market cap alone will sustain it, and as a high value coin it will find much wider acceptance.  Like Bitcoin, the early adopters will profit the most. It is no more of a Ponzi scheme than is Bitcoin itself. This is definitely NOT a SCAM aimed at creating a few "bagholders". It is market manipulation at it's finest, appealing to the full scale of emotions. It is YOU, the traders, who will make or break this coin. And here is why.............(digest this and I will post the reason with a reply shortly- unless someone figures it out from my hints first..)

Lol at all the noobs going to lose their btc. Every fucking time the pumpers makes you believe this coin is the real deal and you greedy noobs fall for it. I have no pity for you suckers. Wait a week and revisit this post as truth will be out by then.

P.S. I have heard that AFP have been informed about the issue and they are investigating.

+1

this scam just challenge my IQ.

HOW STUPID PPL CAN BE
So stupid that we outsource all of our manufacturing to third world nations because we're too good and too smart to do manual labor, we want to give everyone a college education, and the whole world is just a big happy politically correct playground until we run out of third world nations to exploit. And instead of providing quality and value we provide smiles and bullshit and "niche businesses".  Everyone has a "concept". If this is a scam, it certainly fits today's world. So fuck you and everyone else on this thread, you are all full of shit in support of your respective positions. I'l make my own decisions and live by the consequences based on my own assessment of the situation. If I lose, it's my money to lose, and hooray to the guy that beat me. STFU already.

New coins have been playing with the idea of creating value by backing the coin with something for a while now. You know why nobody has done it yet? It's because the conversation always turned to the realization that it can't be done and nobody would fall for it anyway. Until you guys came along and ate up all the figurative and literal shit these guys gave you. Bravo.

Actually, I KNOW exactly how to create an asset backed coin with a fixed value and no market fluctuation except downward pressure for those willing to sell coins faster for a small loss. I don't think it will happen unless I find the means to finance it on my own. Many people are trying to create something out of nothing. You have to start with SOMETHING, and grow it. At least URO is trying to do this, so I'm willing to adopt a wait and see attitude, and play the market for what it's worth. BTW, why are you scam-shouter guys trying so hard to save the world? You'd do better to go down to the local pub and shout for Jesus, with about the same result, I expect. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If it works, you can eat your crow, if it busts, you can feel the warm glow of superiority at that time. Either way, let it be what it is.

Just did, nothing there explaining why a popular actor from india would be the registrant of their website which was only registered 2 months ago.

i can register any domain under a false name. i prefer ali baba.

which is the point i'm trying to make..
Just googling a name is no good, you only get famous people with the same name, you need more identifying information. when I google my own name I get  results for a doctor, who I definitely am not. I think I understand a little better now, this is a large scale operation to sell to wholesalers, who will then retail smaller batches to local farmers. If they succeed in linking the value of this coin to the commodity, they stand to gain from both market penetration and cost savings over the current system, thus, the contracts. There are also many ways to defray the supposed losses from selling the commodity for the current value of the coin, including using company servers and computing power to mine coins directly, and selling the mined coins back to the emerging market to create a store of bitcoin, or adding addendums to the contract whereby the developer agrees to cover the gap between fair market value and actual market value of URO within a specified time frame. In short, this scheme could have been set up as an elaborate scam, or it could be an attempt to recreate the success of bitcoin in obtaining market cap. If people believe it has value, then it does. If someone acquires 12500 URO and actually receives a shipment, then faith in this coin will be unshakeable. If not, it will collapse. Transparency is key. Until that time, don't bet more than you can afford to lose, and enjoy the game.

You're talking about LOGOS?
What I'd like to see here is some thinking about how this  BENEFITS anyone to actually USE this coin?
Who is going to trade with this coin?
How are they going to access it?
Where in all of this is there an INCENTIVE for the farmers who will supposedly be the support base of this coin?
I'm now going to answer my own questions
Those farmers who are already using urea, and have access to internet and supply chains and the banking system, are probably not going to find any convenience or value in using this coin, unless it somehow provides them a price advantage.
Therefore, I believe the advantage here lies in increasing the market penetration, through providing hardware and internet access, along with education on how to effectively use these tools, to remote farming communities who are generally excluded from the current financial system. The kind of people whose life savings are wrapped in a rag and buried under the dirt floor, and who have never even seen a bank.
This I believe may be accomplished by adding a charitable component, which would allow (compel?) miners and traders to donate to a general fund aimed at accomplishing these goals, by providing the necessary equipment and expertise, along with low interest loans.
This could drive an increase in food production worldwide, as well as support the future value of this coin. Something to think about, anyway. Make a REAL difference.

I'd love to join the multipool, got everything set up on that end, but my wallet won't connect. Any ideas? I already verified and expanded the .conf file, thx.

Infinitypool needs more hashing power! We have 0% fees and have already paid out to miners!

7 blocks so far!
I'm getting the best return from Infinitypool.. it's not showing the correct  hashrate, but it is working correctly and paying out well...just looks like crap on the dashboard. I'm mining at about 1.5mh's, it says my hashrate is 6 kh's BUT I'm getting the correct amount of coins! Ignore that and join us, I sent him a PM to hopefully get this fixed.
