601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XBC] {Wallet Update} Only Traded on Poloniex on: April 14, 2016, 09:43:23 AM
If anyone wishes to donate some coins towards the cryptopit project a wallet address has been created so please send your remittance to:

BS1gTh6k4e9G5kFMfQok5Cqd88oVkjzA9v

Once we have confirmed their service is up and running we can send them coins to provide a float/cushion for XBC

I am in talks with a new gaming site that will be launching soon to see if they will add XBC so may have some news over the next few days/weeks so I would expect the community to support it if it offers as good or a  better service than cryptopit

Important Notice: CoinWallet.co is closing. Please withdraw all coins by May 1st 2016.
There was some kind of data breach so all passwords etc should be considered compromised however no coins were lost. They are actively looking for someone else to take it over now I think but if anyone has XBC there it may be worth withdrawing them until further notice from them.

Creo que hay algo que podría ayudar mucho a esta moneda, y es comenzar a hablar el lenguaje de la gente común. de la gente q...
I think there is something that could help a lot in this currency, and start talking the language of ordinary people. people who know nothing about programming and knows nothing of trading.

I'll give an example: Imagine that come 20 new people interested in buying the currency. But that people have no computer, just use your phone. There is a secure web wallet for this currency. there is no practical wallet to move this currency quickly. You would have to get home and turn on a computer to make a transaction. Advertising needs to improve. Another very important thing.

Most currencies are designed from a greedy and competitive mentality. Why there is so much deception in this environment of criptomonedas. Why not think about building something together where everyone wins, based on collaboration and teamwork. Osea currency grow slowly but with a real and constant growth.

For example set: A wall or floor where the currency can not lose, and establish a sky or ceiling where the currency can not climb easily. And both the floor and the sky will grow slowly gradually.

Do this in an organized way help us all, we will create a trusting environment where our money grows and not a simple game up and down is nothing but subtly steal money from people who rely on this project. We will change the competitive and avaricious trading by one of collaboration and teamwork, which you think?

There is a web wallet here https://www.coinwallet.co/en/currency/XBC .I assure you nobody who was helping out here for almost 2 years now has a greedy mentality because neither myself or jjmv have had 1 cent earned from the coin in fact we have spent our own money on its development and maintainance and hours and hours here and elsewhere trying our best for the community. There are some new team members also who are doing their part and working on their own ideas also.
I can only speak for myself here because I dont know how much others have in xbc but I currently have 900 xbc and I am around since the beginning because I bought my coins when it was first launched and have made a huge loss since the project began buying all my coins at the highest price watching it decline to where it is now so maybe that will give you an idea of how some people around have been committed to helping xbc's future.

Yes we do need a mobile wallet and we need a practical use in the mainstream or whatever for xbc but we also need coinpayments, shapeshift and maybe a second exchange for arbitrage etc etc.

XBC will be around as long as there are people around who are there to give their time and resources.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XBC] {Wallet Update} Only Traded on Poloniex on: April 09, 2016, 09:26:56 PM

I am pleased to announce that we will soon be added as a payment option to a new site www.cryptopit.com once some technical issues are overcome.

Provably fair too so the house edge is very low 1% or less and profit margin will not fund server fees alone until site gets a lot more activity. We should donate something to the site to fund its reserves instead of it having to buy it all to fund this?Maybe we can make an announcement on twitter/trolbox when xbc is live?
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XBC] {Wallet Update} Only Traded on Poloniex on: April 06, 2016, 12:55:12 PM
I am not have success getting Bitcoinplus to run on my vps.  I know my vps is function properly as I am successfully running the Bitcoin blockchain and wallet.

I believe my issue come from the fact that I am not sure which source I should be running for Bitcoinplus.  I have ready all the way through the fourm posts. I realize with the changes over time, I may be trying to run the wrong code from github.

If someone can please link the correct github source and stated  if i need to run xbcwalletsource or bitcoinplus source or both?

Thank you
mtnminer

The correct link is on the opening thread but here is a link https://github.com/bitcoinplusorg/xbcwalletsource

I have installed Bitcoinplus on my server according to the UNIX instructions.  I am running this headless on a VPS Ubuntu 14.04 Everything appears to have went well.  I am now looking to locate my config file to set up user, password and peers.  I also need to know where and how to put inthe command to start syncing the blockchain and generate a wallet address.

Any guidance is apprecaited.

mtnminer

mammix said the .conf file will be located here: /home/<<<username>>>/.bitcoinplus/bitcoinplus.conf

To start the daemon run this : /src/./bitcoinplusd -daemon

To get a list of available commands for generating addresses and TX etc.. run this: /src/./bitcoinplusd help

What happens if we reach #1 in voting?

It's at their discretion to add it I suppose but keep an eye on Bitbean currently @ no.1  and Rubycoin @ no.2 to see what happens there.

https://www.coinpayments.net/vote    BitcoinPlus is now listed on the voting section on coinpayments and is currently in 9th position on the voting chart.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XBC] {Wallet Update} Only Traded on Poloniex on: March 27, 2016, 09:09:16 PM

That link is for a paid option and we dont need to be looking at paying 500 dollars for this service as we already have a current service in cointopay which we organised a while back and paid for.You can however make donations/contributions to the coinpayments/eff site if anyone wants to do so but that is up to them of course.

612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XBC] {Wallet Update} Only Traded on Poloniex on: March 27, 2016, 09:01:22 PM
Mostly I'm trying to make a point to our two friends who have been knocking us all day.

I dont knocking anybody only make fair offer and will make point too when xbc is back at low price and low volume then bagholder will be happy to sell so time will tell my friend and I am very patient one too

Nothing is stopping you placing an order on poloniex at any price you want even 1 satoshi but it may be waiting until doomsday to get filled though.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XBC] {Wallet Update} Only Traded on Poloniex on: March 26, 2016, 12:10:16 AM

Yeah they have already been asked to put us on the voting list a number of times already which they have failed to do so and they also have a requirement after listing:- All coins are subject to delisting upon 90 days if minimum monthly volume is below $5,000 USD. Requested extensions can be purchased for $250 USD for an additional 90 days.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XBC] {Wallet Update} Only Traded on Poloniex on: March 25, 2016, 11:59:35 PM
Coinpayments and shapeshift don't add coins until they have a large community presence, consistently high trading volume and a stable price range well at least that is what they have been saying for the last year anyway but who knows if XBC reaches the point where all those requirements are met they may just add it anyway without any further requests.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinPlus [XBC] Traded on Poloniex on: March 21, 2016, 11:56:34 AM
I sent 150,000 XCH to my wallet on BTER several days ago and it still hasn't posted. Their customer service is non existant. They are definitely going down at some point.

I hope you get your funds back.We certainly won't be looking for a listing there.I think they were hacked recently according to their recent notices.

Nothing can compete with this one.100% reliable
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: █=█ BoostCoin █=█ >> New wallet updates << on: March 19, 2016, 07:34:27 AM
Why do we need bost-bootstrap ?

BootStrap file:
https://mega.nz/#!JRIQGSqL!O8cS-uTUp8oQj32f7VZm-NMKEQQSzsJzXIuY5qUFq_Q

Why i have in wallet balance 8830 and the link http://explorer.bost.link/address/BDKo54K3YvkhqKGprcFMCHuqKzeWr5eW3H say me i have 9266  Huh

P.S I add bootstrap in .. roaming/boostcoin.. now balance in wallet too 8831 )

The bootstrap.dat file is only needed if you are re-syncing. It will help speed up the block import process. If your wallet is already in sync and showing the green tick then you will not need it.
Next step is check your wallet is showing the same block height as the block explorer (currently 643277)

Now restart your wallet using the -rescan switch to see if it can recover missing transactions in your wallet. e.g.

Windows:
1) Using the command window, navigate to the folder where the executable is located
2) Run the following command...
Code:
boostcoin-core-qt-v4.4.1.2.exe -rescan

Mac:
1) Using Terminal, navigate to the folder where the boostcoin app is located
2) Now navigate to this folder inside the .app where the boostcoin-core-qt-v4.4.1.2 binary is located
Code:
/boostcoin-core-qt-v4.4.1.2.app/Contents/MacOS
3) Run the binary using this command with the -rescan switch
Code:
./boostcoin-core-qt-v4.4.1.2 -rescan

i use rescan and balance 8832 ... maybe here mistake ? >>>>   http://explorer.bost.link/address/BDKo54K3YvkhqKGprcFMCHuqKzeWr5eW3H   <<<<<

i send 1 boostcoin on btc38 all fine..

Everything works fine for me maybe you had some coins spent off the back up you used or sent coins from wallet when chain stopped moving.Either way -rescan/-reindex usually sorts it out. Also blockexplorers sometimes show incorrect balance and that happens with all coins.Mine showed a larger balance but I know it is less because I spent some but blockexplorer didnt indicate I spent them.

618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Technical Analysis - MAID, CANN, XMR, FLO, XRP, MAX, STR on: March 16, 2016, 03:29:24 PM
STR is probably going to go to around where XRP is at some stage and NMC which isnt listed here(highest volume ever recorded recently on poloniex) may be up to something because there has been consistent accumulation for a long time on both of them not sure about the others though

Any idea how to get XBC listed on BTER? I emailed them.

They have been emailed, skyped, tweeted etc over the last 12 months to no avail but maybe you will have better luck.We need to be concentrating on coinpayments and shapeshift also.
