601  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Playing chess online for money/bitcoins is illegal? on: October 12, 2013, 02:53:37 PM
Illegal, gambling is illegal...
Only in few U.S. states. In most countries of the world games of skills are not considered gambling at all.

I think the payment via Peerbet wasn't going successfully. I have never seen any "dailybitcoin payment" on my Peerbet transaction history.
I process payments to Peerbet every day. You should ask new owner (Bit777) why these transactions are not being displayed.

Whats the cpc ?
We offer pay-per-day scheme: you set daily budget and your ad's chances to be shown are proportional to this price. Similar model is used by Google AdSense.
Average daily price is 0.003 BTC now, but if you want to get >90% of the banner views set it to >0.05 BTC.
604  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-10-09 FBI goes after SR sellers on: October 10, 2013, 01:19:18 AM
I think other anonymous marketplaces will learn lesson from it and stop saving customers' physical addresses and real names in the plain text.
The best solution would be client-side (in browser) public key crypto: seller generates keypair and saves private key on his PC, public key is being stored on marketplace's server and used when a buyer enter his delivery address, then encrypted message saved in the database. To view the address seller must enter his private key which will be used to decrypt buyer's address right in the browser, therefore even if the server will be seized, FBI will not find any sensitive customers' data.

What is the deal with the new .00003 "Dailybitcoins" vouchers?  Are they just advertising vouchers like the other ones or something different?  I ask because the advertising ones say advertising and these new ones do not.  Thanks!
They are Daily Bitcoins advertising vouchers like other denominations.

P.S. I have changed title to "Daily Bitcoins advertising credits" for this campaign to don't confuse other users.

Congratulations!

Hopefully some casinos will at least not block through IPs.
I don't understand why blocking IPs, it is just ridiculous - anyone could easily access this site through VPN, TOR, proxy or just Opera Turbo.
If you are physically located in the U.S. or any other country which legislation prohibit Bitcoin gambling, you will be in the trouble no matter if you have or not this stupid block!
608  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop panic selling on: October 02, 2013, 09:10:02 PM
don't think so, proceeds from crime can be confiscated and auction off - gov't only destroy illegal stuff that it can't sell (like if they seized drugs, they'll have to destory it; if they seized money, it's theirs!).
May be they will not realize what to do with these Bitcoins and just forget about them?!
609  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop panic selling on: October 02, 2013, 06:36:52 PM
They seized a few million in bitcoins, you don't think people here have more than that?
They seems have seized few million WORTH of Bitcoin (in USD value).
610  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will the price be of bitcoins in one week after take over of SR on: October 02, 2013, 06:15:05 PM
100-120 on Bitstamp.
611  Economy / Speculation / Stop panic selling on: October 02, 2013, 06:07:54 PM
Otherwise you will just lose your Bitcoins! Silk Road is not only one anonymous marketplace, drug dealers and consumers will quickly switch to alternative platforms (Sheep Marketplace, Black Market Reloaded etc), then BTC/USD price will rebound back!

613  Economy / Speculation / Re: U.S. Debt Default Bullish for Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2013, 03:54:53 AM
I think U.S. govt default (if/when happen) will start new Bitcoin price rally which will result in >$500/BTC.
614  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: September 29, 2013, 01:55:58 AM
But the payments are marked as paid immediately, instead of retaining the pending status until payment is actually completed. That is confusing.
Payment script have been fixed now.
615  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: September 28, 2013, 01:59:50 PM
Payments to peerbet accounts didn't go out today, but the payments page claims they did.
Have you read notice on payments page?
Quote
Transfer to Peerbet accounts can take up to 24 hours.
Peerbet server sometimes is unavailable, so I cannot perform transfers instantly.

UPD. There was an issue with Cloudflare on Peerbet server. Payments sent now!

617  Economy / Gambling / Re: 5 BTC Peerbet coupons for sale! (Price: 4 BTC per coupon) on: September 27, 2013, 12:22:46 AM
What's a peerbet coupon?
Peerbet gives away coupons with free credits on Daily Bitcoins to attract players.
618  Economy / Gambling / Re: 5 BTC Peerbet coupons for sale! (Price: 4 BTC per coupon) on: September 26, 2013, 02:08:27 PM
This is scam. Don't buy!

It is only once
My personal advice: you should be a little more generous to your customers, it will recoup in the long term!
