601  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Congressional Research Service Quietly Revises Bitcoin Report on: July 26, 2014, 03:21:54 AM
I hope this will allow members of congress become more informed about bitcoin and hopefully will try to embrace it more.
602  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thing about price dropping of BTC that people dont get on: July 26, 2014, 03:17:37 AM
Drop is good, it helps spread the existing bitcoin to new people which is desperately needed if bitcoin is going to be adopted and used by the masses.

I'd like to see it drop down to $200 USD. That will get a lot of holders to sell and distribute the currency to people who will actually use it for commerce.

Agreed. A price drop around a time like this (with Dell announcing their acceptance of the currency) will help make it more accessible to new users. People tend to look at volume over value, so I can see how some may stay away from Bitcoin when they hear $20 will only get them a fraction of a coin.
I don't think people who have yet to adopt bitcoin will care that they can only buy ~.0333 BTC for $20 but rather they care about the fact that they can use it to send money almost for free.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Informal survey: What are Bitcoin's biggest challenges? on: July 26, 2014, 02:49:54 AM
Biggest challenge is people do not understand why they need it, and many do not understand technology enough to use it securely.

As long as viruses remain a common problem on end user PCs, local clients are dangerous for them.
As long as web wallets operate without enforcement of basic security protocols, web wallets are dangerous too.

Both issues need to be solved.
I think that people do not understand how much bitcoin can save both merchants and consumers over the long run verses other payment methods.
604  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon lost millions to Bitcoin on: July 26, 2014, 02:41:39 AM
Amazon lost millions to Bitcoin. Their customers are spending money to buy bitcoins and spending at other online stores to support the currency revolution.
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-07-25/amazon-loss-widens-as-ceo-alarms-investors-with-spending.html
I don't think this has anything to do with bitcoin
605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook's BUY button! Bitcoin's big moment is here on: July 26, 2014, 02:33:07 AM
Zuckerberg wouldn't want BTC to go up in value. The Winkelwoss twins hold a chunk of it!

what makes you think zuckerberg does not have a wallet full of million bitcoins!

yes he could be satoshi
I think this would be very unlikely. He was likely spending 90+ hours per week when satochi was working on the final touches of bitcoin.
606  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-23] YAHOO: Angry Bitcoin investors demand answers at Tokyo on: July 26, 2014, 02:22:07 AM
I doubt these protests can lead to anything, Unless someone is caught with the coins which is unlikely with the nature of bitcoin/mixing. This also give excuses to agencies and governments to demand regulation for BTC.

A lot of USD deposits missing as well, obvious scam. It is the same as if I run online shop and used the customer money after their order for my expences and not delivering the ordered goods.
As a percentage, the amount of dollar/fiat deposits that are missing is small when compared to the size of the bitcoin deposits that are missing

Does it have balance? Why I would buy your cryptsy account when can I create for free? Does it have special privileges?

It has no balance and its a few months old so you can withdraw your altcoins without hassle

Why wouldn't you be able to withdraw on a brand new account? I'm confused..
