Snowcrawl, Thanks for that! I did exactly what you said except for one thing. I did not delete the new wallet.dat file. Also Lemon and fries I did not wait for it to finish syncing, so maybe if I had waited the coin had would have returned to the wallet. What I managed to do was restore the old wallet and luckily the coin was still there. Phew! So I decided to get someone else to set up a Reddcoin wallet on their computer and sent the coin to their wallet. Deleted everything on my computer and ran the new v1.3.1.0, thinking it would be easy, but no, I am stil getting this msgs,
"Assertion failed! Program... File: src/checkpoint.cpp Line 285
Expression: mapBlockIndex.count(hashSyncCheckpoint)"
It seems I can't win, what with each wallet I am trying to download giving me issues!
Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it. On hindsight if I had waited for the wallet to sync I might have been ok!

i do have the old wallet.dat on a USB
run it with command prompt .\reddcoin.exe -reindex running with -reindex did not work for me.. does anyone have a fix for this?? same for me also has any body rectify the issue. |

What's the difference security wise between a very strong password, and a very strong password + google auth 2fa?
To get past the strong password you'd basically need a keylogger, and if you have that, then you'd also get the google password?
if you use passwords with 2FA then it is impossible for someone to hack your account. |

Ah, everything is complicated and confusing these days... We had 2 adresses, one is for donations to the Super Team (did it)... ...the second one was for donating to the Community leader...  (the address I need, whatever it is ) why not make a single address ans send the donation there. Because they are for different things bro i know they are different but as he said it is confusing so that is why i ask. |

In the qt client got to Help -> Debug Window Click on the console tab In the console type dumpprivkey <address> it will return your private key, copy both lines and send them to me with your new addy to be used in it's place (when you get it) The command is the same if you running the daemon. Send those in a PM, do not post them here or your coins will not be safe yes do not discuss in the open as it might not be good use the pm route. |
