Australia may qualify for the semis, and they have weak opponents lined up for all of their 3 remaining matches (England, Afghanistan and Bangladesh). For New Zealand, things are not that difficult as their remaining opponents are Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The Pakistan vs New Zealand match is like a knockout. The winner of that match will have a great chance of qualifying for the semi-finals. Pakistani has the match against England coming up as well. Afghanistan need to face South Africa and Australia, so I am not much hopeful about them.

Afghanistan already have done a good job in world cup as they have won 3 games. There only mistake is that they lost to weakest side of this tournament i.e Bangladesh. For Afghanistan it's like winning the World Cup. NZ already know that rest of there games are very crucial to qualify for semis. Pakistan have not secured any win so far against strong teams so there chances are less for semis.

I am not sure whether they will be able to overtake South Africa in NRR. At this point, Proteas have +2.290, while India is at +1.405. Even if India win by 300+ runs, there is a chance that their NRR may stay below that of South Africa. Anyway, India will be having 7 wins from 7 matches, while South Africa lost the match against Netherlands. And next match for both the teams is going to be at Eden Gardens, where they will face each other. If anyone is going to beat India in this world cup, it is going to be South Africa. This match is going to be epic.

NRR is not a concern for India as they have won all matches so far and based on points they are at number one position. India NRR is still beyond SA despite having a massive win today.
Its second time in a month or two that SL have such a humiliating defeat against India, first one was in Asia Cup final. SL have made a history today by scoring the lowest inning total by a test playing side.

You should not send all your money to buy Bitcoin, you need to start with a comfortable amount so that it does not create any inconvenience for you. And even if you wanted to increase the amount you set aside for a purchase, this should not be the last one you have, you should think about the fact that for some reason your investments may become inaccessible to you. What will you do in this case?

Make sure that you always have savings that you can use if necessary, I prefer it to be cash that you will always have access to. Even if you always have access to your investments, this money will be useful to you if some kind of collapse occurs in the market, you will be able to buy more if you want.

Invest only that you can afford easily. Don't made yourself uneasy with your investment capital and go for things like borrowing money. Investment must be for larger duration and you can afford that only if you make things easy for your self. You can reduce or increase investing money based on your income.
I do agree that we must have two type of savings one is for bitcoin that is for long term and second one is for daily life necessities. For second one you can  spare cash or invest in things like buying a health insurance for the family and more. Saving money won't be of any use but investing them for a long duration will definitely increase them.

I followed the performance of the last few matches where England could not show their performance positively in any aspect. In the first match of the World Cup, England faced New Zealand, where England team set a target of 282 runs for 9 wickets. Their score against Sri Lanka was poor as they ended their innings on just 156 runs. They also suffered similar defeats against India. In such a situation, everyone has an idea about the fragile condition of the England team. They only won one match against Bangladesh but lost all the rest. England's bowling and batting performance in this tournament is not up to expectations.

England have great opportunity to win yesterday's game but the missed the chance. Now England is eliminated from the world cup. Nobody thought that England will restrict team like India to 229 but its there batters that spoiled the whole game. A real captains knock from Rohit Sharma yesterday after India lost 3 quick wickets. India bowling has also been inspiring throughout this tournament.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 30, 2023, 07:42:52 AM
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier is currently underway at Nepal. Today we had two matches and they were won by Nepal and United Arab Emirates respectively. No surprises here, and these two teams are expected to qualify for the T20 World Cup in 2024. Two more matches remain for today and they will start in around 1 hour from now - Malaysia vs Oman, and Hong Kong vs Kuwait. This is going to be a long tournament, stretching for almost a week. And it is extremely important for all the participating teams to qualify for the world cup, as it will result in a substantial increase in fund allocation from the ICC.

I have a strong feeling that the way Nepal is going they will very soon be a team like Afghanistan. Nepal is located in a region where cricket is the prime support and Nepal is the only country that has not proper representation in ICC events. Recently Nepal participated in Asia Cup and there is strong chance that Nepal will play next year ICC T20 WC. ICC must fund more to teams like Nepal then teams that have expats like UAE.

Although bookih favors Sri Lanka in today's match, I would say that both teams have equal chances to win. I cannot call the Afghanistan team weak. Because this team has defeated teams like England and Pakistan.

The pitch of Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium is completely batting friendly. So I would say the performance of this match will depend on the performance of the batsmen. Since Sri Lankan batsmen are in better form than Afghanistan, bookih considers Sri Lankan team as favourite. Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium first innings average runs is 300 and second innings average runs is 278. So whichever team bats first, if they want to win, they must give a target of 330-360. Otherwise it will be very difficult to win this pitch.

It will be a height of ignorance if any one think that Afghanistan have limited chance of winning any of there remaining matches. They have already beaten teams like England and Pakistan so far. To me both teams have fair chance of winning todays game and SL need to be careful if they bat first. Giving something under 300 will be a piece of cake for Afghanistan.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 30, 2023, 07:35:27 AM
I am still concerned about Australia (and not about the other two - South Africa and New Zealand). India has been in prime form till now, but they have a habit of losing crucial knockout matches. Australia on the other hand has a reputation of starting poorly, but finishing well in major tournaments. And yesterday's performance from India was not flawless. The top order failed completely, and once Rohit Sharma got out their batting simply collapsed. If not for lower order batsmen like Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, India would have struggled to reach 200.

Anything can happen in knockout stages. South Africa and New Zealand are always good in the start but they choke at very last moment in semis and in finals. These are the only two teams that haven't lifted WC till now. Its very clear now that semis will be between India, Aus, NZ and SA. My prediction is that India will lift the trophy this time as they are undefeatable till now by any team.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 29, 2023, 04:21:09 PM
Restricting India to 229 runs raised England's chances. It was thought that England would make a great comeback in this match but it was not to be as they lost all their wickets for just 129 runs. In this match India won by 100 runs. England lost all their wickets in 35 overs. India have won 6 out of 6 matches to top the points table once again. Their style of play looks like they will set another record in this World Cup Moving forward to do. However, fans are finding it difficult to accept such a sudden bad performance of the England team in this session. England team should have done better.

This world cup contest is between India, NZ, Australia and South Africa. The rest of teams are no way near to them and are out from this tournament. It would be better if ICC has made two groups with 5 teams in each group, now every team has to play 9 matches and this has stretched the world cup for quite a long duration. We already have the semi finalists but still all teams have to play 3 to 4 matches.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 29, 2023, 03:33:44 PM
Of course they can win this match from England's current position but India's win is more likely than England's win in this match. In the wicket are Liam Livingston and Chris Woakes, these two are very important for England as England have already lost 6 wickets so if this wicket pair can't form a good partnership then it is impossible for England to win this match.

India scored 219 runs in the first innings so initially I thought that a team like England would easily chase down the target of 230 runs and win. England's dream of this World Cup is over but if they fail to finish this World Cup tournament in the bottom eight of the points table, they will not have the opportunity to play the Champions Trophy.

Game is very much over as India just need 2 more wickets to wrap up this match. England bowlers did a good job to restrict India to 229 but there batsmen failed to play Indian bowling. India is still unbeatable after there 6 matches. England had a great chance to win today's game but they missed that golden opportunity.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: October 29, 2023, 07:10:21 AM
It's absolutely true that new players almost never read ToS.  And even more so, they don’t read them carefully and understand the intricacies of different points of the rules of playing in a casino.  But it’s probably not worth scolding newcomers for this, because most of them just want to start playing quickly and automatically, without thinking, click the “agree” icon.  Also, of course, newcomers to casino gambling do not place large bets in the first hours of their game.  They still try to play with a smafl amount.

I, too, when I started gambling, I absolutely remember that I didn’t read any ToS, but just wanted to start playing.  And I kept putting off reading the rules until the next days.  Then I really began to read, and not in its entirety, but individual points that I considered important for me.

I guess this is something not limited to Casinos, ToS are hardly read by anyone whether you are opening a bank account or installing a Windows operating system. The main reason is ToS are so lengthy for people to read in short duration, majority just prefer to press 'I accept' button and get started. We only start paying attention to these terms and conditions once we are struck on some issue and support representative says you already agreed to these terms.

.
People who are still tempted by small profits after seeing an increase are people who will always find it difficult to get bigger profits because people like that still have to train their own patience more by no longer being tempted by small profits in order to get bigger ones after be patient. And some people who still really care about building their own portfolio will always see that opportunity as a very profitable time for them without really caring about people who sell when they see small profits.

Patience is the key to success in every trading. Not only we must be patient while we see small profit but must also not lose patience in case we see price of Bitcoin going today. Those who learn this art early on, finds Bitcoin an awesome place for investment. Rather then going for small profits, one should focus on building his portfolio specially when price is down.

.
People who still like day trading are part-time traders who are not worthy of being called investors. Because they don't invest their money in Bitcoin for a long period and they also don't spend more time investing except just to visit the market and sell assets that are starting to become profitable for themselves. So we also have to be able to separate them from real investors because Bitcoin investors who like to invest in the long term will never be tempted by small profits in the short term.

Day traders are just gambling with there money and in gambling mostly house is the winner not the gambler. If you price of bitcoin over a period of 4 to 5 years then one can clearly see that it increases.
So we have two things to focus on, build portfolio and invest for long term.

England need to play for their pride. Even though they cannot qualify for the next stage (semi finals) but they should try to win the remaining matches and try to climb up on the points table. It does not look good that the former world champion England team is among the low teams in this WC.

I checked the odds and India will win this match one sided.  Wink The difference between the odds is too much. I think it is good to bet on India today and get 1.44 winning odds.

India is unbeaten so far and seems like they will remain unbeaten at least before Semis. England don't have much chance today against mighty India, they have just won one game so far and that'sagainst Bangladesh. If you are betting then its very risky to bet against India. India already in semis and England out from tournament. So it won't matter what will be outcome of today's game.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 28, 2023, 04:12:33 PM
Bangladesh need 90 more runs in 10 overs at an average of 9 runs per over. But they don't have enough wickets.  Bangladesh has already lost 8 wickets. so there is a high possibility that Bangladesh will lose the match and Bangladesh will lose by one huge run margin like you mentioned . Bangladesh have lost their last four matches too. It has been seen in the last matches that Shakib Al Hasan has played very badly and today he got out by taking only five runs. his performance is destroying all his previous reputation. as a Bangladeshi, I feel very ashamed to watch such a game for Bangladesh.

Another defeat for Bangladesh while another victory for Netherlands. This is turning out to be a great tournament for Netherlands, they have won 2 matches  and they till have 3 more games to go. This is 7th consecutive ODI WC for Bangladesh and there performance is not improving. Don't know how many more WC they need more to improve there performance. 230 was not a big target but Bangladesh failed to chase that in most bizarre manner.

We have watched two back-to-back thrillers. Earlier, it was Pakistan vs South Africa, and now it is Australia vs New Zealand. Some efforts from New Zealand batters; only if their middle order stepped up and supported Ravindra, we might have seen the highest chase in World Cup history. Neesham played exceptionally well but was unlucky at the end. That thigh-high full toss was a big miss.
A thrilling finish to an almost perfect run chase. Hopefully, we will have some more thrillers in the upcoming matches.
The Netherlands are bowling at very good line and length, not giving any room to the batsmen. I am expecting a thriller between Bangladesh and the Netherlands as well.

NZ did an amazing run chase before losing the match by just 5 runs. I think game went more in Australia favor when they got wicket of Ravindra. Still the tail did there best to chase the target.
Netherlands are looking to get there second win in this world cup, Bangladesh so far have lost 5 wickets including key wicket of Shakib. Netherlands have not much runs to defend but still there bowlers have done a good job.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 28, 2023, 11:17:12 AM
Indeed, this is the first match in this world cup which was very much competitive. South Africa managed to win it finally. Pakistan was unlucky as some decisions went against them at the final stage. The LBW out wasn't given for umpires call. And the umpires have declared a delivery as wide while the ball touched the pad of Tabraiz Shamsi. Pakistani bowlers did well in the last few overs of the match.

Pakistan were a bit unlucky in the end to lose the match with just 1 wicket. Credit goes to Pakistan bowling who picked up 9 wickets while defending a small target of 271 runs. The last over which Nawaz bowled should be given to Usama Mir who was bowling more confidentially then Nawaz. Pakistan bad luck was that all pacers had bowled there 10 overs till 47th overs. Its a good game and it says a lot about potential Pakistan team has despite being knocked out of tournament.
616  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: October 28, 2023, 09:55:28 AM
That is the problem of jumping on a discussion without even looking at the caption. We shouldn't be discussing selling at all but how to build our portfolios in this time of lower prices and hold for long.

Following the discussion in this topic have actually shown that many people entered into Bitcoin with wrong mindset and poor expectations. Some entered because they heard one can make so much profit within a short time, so they expect the profits like now, the reason they panic when the profit is not coming as expected.

Assuming we can tell people that Bitcoin is a long term investment before they even got started, maybe some of these agitations would seize to exist as people will join Bitcoin with the proper mindset.

Also there are people who start selling whenever they see small profit and this way they miss bigger piece of the cake. It must be our first and foremost duty as a bitcoiner to learn ways about how to build our portfolio.
There is no small duration investment that can make you rich in small duration. One has to invest his time and effort along with money to earn profit. In case of Bitcoin the profit is guaranteed if you invest for long term. There are people who do day trading and earn profit occasionally but in the long term they are deemed to lose money.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 28, 2023, 09:48:41 AM
what a comeback for travis head after the injury as he smacks a century off just 58 balls. Such a mind boggling stuff he scored 109 runs just 67 balls. A big total for Australia 388 in loss of 10 wickets in 50 Overs. Australia run-rate: 7.5 in this match against NewZealand and Phillips' economy rate: 3.7  Picked up the 3 wickets of Warner, Head, Smith and led the NewZealand comeback. Phillips is just a part time bowlers. If Australia wins today against New Zealand, it will benefit Pakistan. If Australia beat NewZealand with a bigger margin even better. In my opinion Australia will defend 389 runs and win this match by huge margin

The world cup campaign for Pakistan is almost over, they have lost 4 consecutive games and its very unlikely that they win all of there remaining matches. My prediction is that India, NZ, Australia and South Africa will play the semi finals.
Australia are in well control of today's match. They have 389 runs to defend and its very unlikely that NZ will be able to chase such a big target. Devon Conway is already eliminated by Hazlewood.  NZ at the moment need 326 runs from 41 overs.

618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: October 27, 2023, 05:53:08 PM
Yeah, that LBW was as close as it gets. Pakistan being on the unlucky side of things. If the on field umpire had given it out. That would have stood and Pakistan would have won the match then and there. Was a tough call for the umpire to make. I personally thought it would have dragged on wide but it did clip the stumps. Statistically, Pakistan's chances to qualify are slim to none now isnt it? 4 losses in a row for them, must've been unexpected for a team that started the campaign as one of the favs to reach far into the tournament. South Africa goes back on top of the standings on net run rate but, India has a game in hand.

Pakistan journey in icc world cup is over with this loss. They already lost to India, Afghanistan and Australia. Today was a must win game for them but they unfortunately lost it after a thriller. Pakistan got wickets in today's game but they came very late. The real damage was done by Aiden Markram. Pakistan team need to do a lot of work in ODI format as its evident from this tournament.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 27, 2023, 10:27:32 AM
Too early to say anything. Pakistan got the initial advantage, when they won the toss and then decided to bat first. A lot will depend on how long Babar Azam stays out there. After these two, it is the allrounders and then the bowlers. Both the top-runs corers for Pakistan are out now (Mohammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique). Babar was in poor form until now, and it needs to be seen whether he will be able to rescue Pakistan today. So far both of them are looking somewhat comfortable against the spinners. But what will happen once Jansen and Coetzee are re-introduced?

Pakistan team throughout the tournament failed to attack the opponent and this is exactly happening in today's game also. After 25 overs Pakistan going with 5 run per over. With this scoring rate Pakistan will only be able to give a target of 270 or 300 maximum. Seeing the bowling form of Pakistani bowlers 300 won't be a safe target. Pakistan already lost 4 wickets and there chances of scoring 300 are now very slim.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 27, 2023, 10:21:17 AM
The PCB has been changing the format of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy so often that it has become really confusing now. Now there are 7 city-based teams (with 2 from Lahore), and one regional team (FATA) participating in the 2023 edition. Last year's tournament was contested by regional teams (Balochistan, Central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern, Sindh and Southern Punjab). IMO, moving from a regional system to a city-based system was quiet regressive. It will cause death of cricket in rural areas and give more preference to the urban areas.

Also there is no team from Balochistan region in 2023 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. The decline of test and ODI cricket in Pakistan is because not much preference is given to red ball in domestic setup. Sarfraz Ahmed along with Saim Ayub have performed well in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Players that are consistent in domestic cricket must be given preference rather then selecting team from PSL.
Cricket is already confined to few cities like Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar only. We rarely see player from rural areas in Pakistan team.
