601  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: shido.io non-KYC virtual card legit??? on: November 28, 2023, 08:10:02 AM
Yes, you are right.

But I would love to see a worldwide working non-KYC virtual card provider these days. I already gave up the hope for something like this.
You can find some, but the question will be how long this card will work, and there is a possibility that it will suddenly stop and you will lose all the money, as such services are against the regulations for issuing these cards. However, companies try to provide cards with a lower withdrawal limit than that imposed by AML in some countries, but soon those cards will be discovered, banned or restricted.
The easiest solution is to buy gift cards with Bitcoin and spend them where available.
602  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just a dream but possible on: November 28, 2023, 07:58:12 AM
The qualitative shift that Bitcoin has brought about is transferring the need for trust from a third party to you, and it is better than cash, which has problems with inheritance, but all Bitcoin needs is that whoever knows the private key is the one who knows access to those currencies, and you can use a multi-signature wallet for your family members and sign a message to verify it. The money must be distributed in a specific form, and here, even if some of the children steal the money, then the judiciary can be resorted to to compensate them, not to mention the possibility of storing the private key in a safe place or appointing a company with a multi-key safe and judicial procedures.

603  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: November 28, 2023, 07:08:42 AM

I understand that people at bitcointalk are aware of this maintenance, but what about the people accessing Sinbad directly and not using the bitcointalk forum, they will just think that that site is down. It will have a serious bad impact on their business.
I completely agree that placing a sign that the service is currently under maintenance and that it will be reactivated after several hours would be appropriate with providing access for users who have pending transactions related to how their transactions are executed at that time.

I think the current behavior is understandable if they are making major changes such as renaming the service and stopping the current service.
604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why Bitcoin Legacy Address got Replaced with Segwit on: November 27, 2023, 08:27:24 AM
Legacy Address is still gaining importance in message signing, as there is no agreed upon standard for segwit signatures, so it is better to use Legacy Address if you want to sign a message. bc1 native segwit has become the default option due to saving fees.
605  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: IT pro needed for venture backed bitcoin startup on: November 27, 2023, 08:13:20 AM
I don't know which project you are talking about, but it seems that you need one developer, and therefore the project is small, and betting on equity may not be a preferred option. Put the salary in an escrow (at least the first month) and write the requirements accurately, years of experience and previous projects, in addition to an explanation of the details. and move the topic to Services subboard.
606  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Consolidation on: November 27, 2023, 07:58:25 AM
There is no single rule for the market, and since the cryptocurrency market is still in the growth phase, it is impossible to determine the price trend in a range of less than 1 month. All you can do is give price range predictions and hope that your prediction is accurate, but Bitcoin leads in a recurring pattern in the long term. This recurring pattern may continue for 10 or 20 years, and until that time, short-term trading will be a bet and not based on technical analysis. However, technical analysis may help improve and enhance profits or at least reduce losses.
607  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain data download on: November 27, 2023, 07:29:11 AM
Any suggestions?
The site above collects data from Blockchair Database Dumps. You can do this by purchasing API packages form any block explorer and then using Python to arrange them or do whatever you want.

Bitcoin block data (728 GB): inputs, outputs and transactions
You can trust the data that comes from this site, but if you do not trust it or Blockchair, it is better to run a full node.
608  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nominee related services in bitcoin on: November 27, 2023, 05:31:28 AM
I see the option to add nominee in my local crypto exchange, WazirX.
How does this process work? Does the candidate have access just like the account owner or does he need to submit a death certificate first?

But I have not seen such option in international exchanges so far. Any reason why? This can be a good option which will hell transfer of funds to relatives in case of death of main account holder.

The details of transferring ownership are complex and differ between countries, and I do not think that a multinational platform would want to delve into these details, especially since many of the cases in the courts are disputes over the rights of the heirs and to whom ownership of the money will devolve, and if there is a will or desire of the account owner and the complications will become more complex, they do not want that headache.
609  Economy / Exchanges / Re: $86m+ stolen from HECO bridge. ANOTHER Justin Sun service HACKED on: November 27, 2023, 05:20:45 AM
If what is happening are hackers, this means either that he is one of those who worked with Justin Sun in the past, or he has access of some kind to computers owned by Sun, as it is difficult for such platforms to be hacked in less than 3 months, and the same scenario is repeated by returning part of the stolen money. I thought that what was happening was a kind of tax evasion, but this will focus the spotlight on it, and therefore the best guess is that it is indirect promotion.
610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Illiquid Supply Hits An All-Time High on: November 27, 2023, 05:15:01 AM
They did not do so either because:

1) Whoever bought may have bought at a price less than $40,000, and therefore, after two years, he is still at a loss.
2) Buy at the bottom and know that the price can still rise.
3) He believes that the price will rise sharply soon.

The common denominator between all these groups is the belief that the price will rise, and this belief will be strengthened as the price of Bitcoin increases from 30,000 to 40,000 to 50,000 during the next 6 months.
611  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk news ( more like drama/gossip thread) where to start it? on: November 27, 2023, 04:54:55 AM
reputation and off topic would be appropriate for such topics. Drama does not happen very often and you can join the forum channel on Discord where forum related events can be discussed more quickly. If the topic is not locked and self-moderated, it will turn into dharma in its entirety.
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: someone pays 83.65 $BTC ($3,136,058) in transaction fees, overpaying by 120,258 on: November 24, 2023, 06:41:03 AM
Mostly a problem with the software or an error in passing the values. Instead of passing the value to the transaction, it is passed as a fee, and this is not the first time. It happened here Paxos Behind $500K Bitcoin Fee Overpayment For $2K Worth of BTC Transfer where the fee was about 20 bitcoins, and it was recovered here  Bitcoin Miner F2Pool Returns 19.8 BTC to Paxos After Overpaid Fee
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked, lost 11 BTC on: November 24, 2023, 06:32:02 AM
Talked to my wife.  She tried to install a voice changer software yesterday from a link on twitter and it didn't install.  This is a windows 11 PC.  I see something new called WingFtpServer as a startup program. That has to be it. C'est la vie  Embarrassed

If you have not installed that voice changer software, the hacker will not be able to easily access your bitcoins.
Wing FTP Server is a multi-operating system software that you can use to manage and supports multiple file transfer protocols such as FTP, FTPS, and SFTP. The program itself is not a virus, but if you connect to a server that has viruses, it may be downloaded to your device, but you still need administrator privileges to execute it. again, without executing these programs, it is difficult to be hacked unless you do it indirectly, such as Clipboard Hijacker Malware.
614  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can we avoid tax on crypto trading in india on: November 24, 2023, 06:13:55 AM
If the tax is calculated on local currency transactions, it is better to reduce the sale transactions in the local currency to one transaction so that you buy Bitcoin on today’s date and convert to stable currencies when the price of Bitcoin rises and buy Bitcoin again when it decreases with a 30% sale in the local currency. Therefore, you have paid a tax on 30%. % and increased your Bitcoin holding.
If the taxes are for all transactions, it is better to use a DEX such as BISQ, and then reduce the sale of stable currencies and keep a record.
In any case, try not to use CEX if taxes are imposed on all profits from all Bitcoin transactions, including profits from selling altcoins.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked, lost 11 BTC on: November 24, 2023, 05:44:03 AM
I would like to believe you, but many accounts claim to have lost Bitcoin. Therefore, to make the discussion serious, can you sign a message from a Bitcoin address proving that 11 Bitcoins were sent from that address in the past days?

Have you updated Bitcoin Core and verified the signature? By reviewing your previous posts, you mentioned that you purchased Bitcoin in 2013. Perhaps you did not download the correct software.
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Holders Hesitant to Sell Despite Price Surge on: November 24, 2023, 05:36:04 AM
As much as these statistics express “diamond hands,” they indicate that investors still believe that the current price does not reflect the true value of Bitcoin, and there is a possibility that its value will increase with the passage of time, and these investors may start selling randomly whenever they lose hope that Bitcoin will rise, and this Concerns could escalate if Bitcoin does not rise to the levels of $100,000 or any price above $70,000 before the end of the year.

Glassnode statistics may give an impression of the general price trend, but they are not useful in predicting the value of Bitcoin.
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OFAC-Sanctioned Transactions Being Censored on: November 23, 2023, 07:27:30 PM
Is this the second mining pool or the third that add OFAC list filter? It is unfortunate that these pools respond to pressure from the United States, but this will not change the nature of the decentralization of the network. If there remains one mining pool that does not adhere to these legislation and can be managed in countries that have a political stance towards the United States, then all the other mining pools will be forced to build on top of that block, but this means that transactions transmitted from addresses in OFAC blacklist will take longer on average than all transactions from other addresses.
618  Economy / Economics / Re: How come both the "gas" and "fee" prices shoot up without ETH and BTC move? on: November 23, 2023, 07:19:13 PM
In Bitcoin, there are no fixed fees, and they differ from one transaction to another, and the difference is not in the price of the transaction, but rather in the number of entries and exits, which basically determine the necessary fees after ensuring that they are sufficient to be added in the next block or several blocks according to your discretion. Ethereum works differently, and with proof of stake, fees will inevitably be lower on average, but the network has not been tested with full blocks like Bitcoin.
619  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: November 23, 2023, 06:24:14 PM
Let's turn our attention away from phishing scammers, I will make a small digression here by reminding all eligible users about this free raffle. 1 slot left for the Custom UniJoin Card. I am almost surprised that Unijoin's promoters are not interested in the possibility of receiving such a gift.

card design is attractive, but my personal problem is privacy issue. It is difficult to ship these cards without revealing your identity, in addition to the high shipping cost to my country.
If this is allowed, I will choose the number 1, provided that if I win, I will choose someone (from UniJoin list) who deserves this card.
620  Economy / Speculation / Re: The volatility volumes of Bitcoin is not the Will of man on: November 23, 2023, 06:17:08 PM
Humans desire to get involved in Bitcoin because of the many conveniences Bitcoin offers including the opportunity to earn huge profits.
Investing is not available to everyone. Unless you have enough cash to pay your monthly expenses and obligations, you will not be able to invest. The more money you have, the greater the return on investment. Therefore, investing $10 will not make you rich, but continue to buy more Bitcoin.

A 4-year cycle is a sign that Bitcoin will peak again.
But before that happens, it seems that Bitcoin is still being tested with some bad news coming up,
such as CZ stepping down due to some issues that required the Binance CEO to step down.

We still have 4 or 5 of these cycles, so it will be similar to either the 2013 or 2017 cycle. In any case, the possibility of 50 thousand before the middle of the year is possible. CZ News will not effect prices.
