why modertros doesnt moderate Serious discussion? This fraud create many trash topic at Serious discussion. todey he create trash topic with tittle "I will not do anything for you for free. Pay me."  at Serious discussion. modertros should NUKE this fraud or at laest delete his trash topic.

here link to trash topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5480397.0
People are asking me to do things for them, and I refuse to do so. We therefore need to have a serious discussion about what to expect from other people. I am not going to do things for other people for free. People here say that my education is fraudulent because they lack all sense and are full of evil. I have a Ph.D. in Mathematics. Get over it. People here claim I am a fraud because they hate education as they are anti-intellectual.

report the thread if you think it breaks the rules of that board. if you already reported it, give it some time, the mods might not have seen your report yet.

modertros should NUKE this fraud or at laest delete his trash topic.
the guy is unhinged, it will be only a matter of time before he gets banned for saying things that are against the forum rules.
Do you have anything nice to say? Maybe you just hate me because I have an education and you hate education.

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.
An educated man would be smart enough not to engage in the things you do. An educated man wouldn't mention every 2 seconds that they have a ph d. An educated man wouldn't act like an idiot every response. You are just a basic waste of space and seem to just be having a little fun trolling on the forum. Maybe 1 of these days you might actually graduate from whatever high school you attend, but for now I think you are seriously pushing your luck on this forum with all your bullshit.

Could all be that 1 user claimed hacked and didn't get tagged and was given time to pay, so others came up with their own story along the same lines. They could be telling the truth, but they could be full of shit too.

For example, the teleport to altcoinstalk story. There are a load of us who have teleported and have faced 0 problems.
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [A POLL] Without Chances of Making Money, Will you still be gambling? on: January 05, 2024, 07:35:39 AM
If basketball didn't have a ball being shot into a basket, would it still be called basketball? If there's no money or risk involved, it's not really gambling IMO.
Yeah, I took note of this though I didn't mention it on the thread,  Cheesy, if you read the question part of the op, that is the last paragraph, you did realize I used the word "play" or "playing" instead of "gamble" or "gambling", I did this because while I was typing the op, I realized that, gambling without a chances making profit or money, is not really gambling, but playing, like we say that we want to play video games and so.

So, you are right, without the chances or ability of making money off gambling, then it is just we playing a game and not gambling.
When I was a younger man, me and my friends would be out playing basketball for hours every night. Usually 2-3 hours a night 3-5 days a week. We would also play video games for a couple hours a night as well.

I think when we are young and not too concerned about bills or money, we "play" for the fun of it without any issue. Once we are of the age where utilities or rent or cell bill or whatever is close to needing paid, we are more inclined to not "play" games, but to gamble to make a few bucks.

It's all about circumstances I suppose.

Payments have been sent to everyone for the week. This will be the last week of the campaign and we unfortunately had to reduce the rates. .00009 per post is the new rate. Last week, let's finish strong @everyone.
606  Other / Meta / Re: Admin/Mods: Please ban "jvanname" on: January 03, 2024, 10:23:53 PM
I'm not sure if he is who he claims to be, likely not IMO. The guy seems to need some serious professional help though. I also think a guy who supposedly has a PhD would take the time to read the forum and learn how the place works. Maybe learn how to use the trust system if he is going to partake in using it. Banning him is useless IMO as it's just as easy to ignore him.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How possible is it to win lottery 14 times using mathematics calculations on: January 03, 2024, 06:48:45 AM
I don't love clicking links, but I think the guy is full of shit. There is no way to be that lucky unless it's rigged IMO.
I saw that two or three days ago but I did not bother to bring it to the forum for discussion because I know that it is like I am bringing nonsense. It has no sense to me because I just do not want to believe that. Winning  lottery 14 times is just not possible. The chance that something like that can happen is very small. Less than 1%.
It's possible if it's a rigged lottery, but true as far as nonsense. We see lots of nonsense topics like this pop up, some are interesting, but most aren't. They need to be in the gambling discussion board though at a minimum.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 03, 2024, 05:24:53 AM
Damn Kings, wtf is wrong with them? 3 team parlay, bet 2 teams live Memphis and OKC moneylines. Those were the risky bets on the night but apparently Charlotte without Ball decided they wanted a win tonight. 16 point favorites and up 6 with 4 minutes or so to go and cannot get it done. Kings end up losing by 7 lmao.

Just goes to show ya, 1.05 odds and 16 point favorites doesn't guarantee anything.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How possible is it to win lottery 14 times using mathematics calculations on: January 03, 2024, 04:15:42 AM

Navigating through articles online got me attracted to a catchy caption yet disturbing (the link posted below).
I am  a stern believer that gambling. Which I believe that lottery is, is purely a game of luck rather than skills or expertise.
How this managed to happen repeatedly for 14 times means it's not just luck, something else must have happened.

Leave your opinion if you think it's 100% luck to be  winner or there is a particular skill needed.

610  Economy / Gambling / Re: [poorbot.io] | Exchanger for Stake - fast, cheap, simple on: January 03, 2024, 12:44:49 AM
It's good if Poorbot do it in the future. I checked in the gambling section that there was a list of casinos[1] that had exchanges integrated into the platform. Poorbot can use this reference to expand its business to several platforms that are not available exchangers but are quite well known on this forum.

1. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5282289.0
Poorbot team can send a request to author of that topic, AmoreJaz, to list Poorbot in the list.

If the user agrees to do this, Poorbot will be exposed to more gamblers who know and regularly visit that thread and guests of that thread in future too.

You made an excellent recommendation to Poorbot team for considering of expansion to other platforms but first, the team must have their accounts on those platforms, and must do research or even ask for support opinions on those platforms, before deploying their tipping service there.
I sent a message and hopefully it can be added in the next day or 2. Any exposure is good exposure IMO.
611  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: January 02, 2024, 11:40:20 PM
Our initial cut-off date for refund requests was 30 days.

However, based on community feedback, we have decided to extend it for a few more days until January 1st.
After this date, we will no longer process or respond to emails related to the refund request.
This has been a challenging process, but fortunately, we worked it out successfully.

Payments were scheduled to be made in batches, but to avoid confusion and other related issues, we have decided to process everything in one go.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hold a second, so if I happen to be offline for about a month or six months for personal reasons best known to me, and before my blackout I have an active pending funds with your service, and here there is a refund chance for me to get back my money, but because I was unable to meet up with the news on time, I can no longer have a claim to the funds, is that what this means?

If there is a plan for refunding and paying off all pending withdrawals and deposits, I don't think there should ever be a limit to when the person can come and claim their funds. Many people might have already deleted everything that has to do with the casino as a result of their disappointment, but when they realise there is a chance of getting it back, then I think the window should be left open at least for a year.

If the person can prove ownership and show they are the real owner, then they should be given a refund. The refund funds should be kept aside for the same purpose. I believe you already have the data on the overall amount of money you need.
Betnomi could make the offer open indefinitely and as long as a user could prove they had funds on the platform at the time of the site going offline, process the refund. The issue is they just leave themselves open for more false claims and it's probably something they don't want to deal with forever. Something they would like to move on from.

In this day and age, not many people go dark for many months at a time. Some live in areas that have blackouts, some might take a little time to themselves for mental health, or 1 of many other reasons but almost never offline for 6 months or whatnot. Not saying it doesn't or couldn't happen, just that it's not likely. IMO they gave a decent amount of time.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 01, 2024, 07:30:13 AM
That game wasn't so much the Ravens playing great but the Niners playing bad.  The Niners beat themselves last night.

Haha, interesting take! Do you think the Niners' performance was the main factor in the outcome of the game? What could they have done differently?

I don't think Purdy is the QB everyone has given him credit for. He might develop into MVP type material, but isn't there just yet. Baltimore is getting hot at the right time on offense and has had a solid defense all year holding teams to under 20 points throughout most of the year. San Fransisco was outplayed and outmatched.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your New Year's resolution? on: January 01, 2024, 06:50:34 AM
My New Years resolution is to stop betting on big spreads. I took Purdue -28 a couple days back and they win by 27 GRRRRRRRRRR. I would like to stop wasting money on large spreads and start betting a little safer. Money doesn't grow on trees.
614  Economy / Gambling / Re: Finding a Bug on: January 01, 2024, 12:36:06 AM
If they do not offer a bounty, will you still report the bug is the question? Most sites will offer a bounty but like others said, it depends on the bug.

I would report the bug either way.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 31, 2023, 11:04:52 AM
Finally! Pistons got the win after the worst losing streak in history and Raptors is the victim. Smiley
I had Cunningham 28+ points bet but Markkanen blew my parlay. He shot 0/7 behind the 3-pt line and could score only 12. Whatever, Pistons won tonight and that's the only important news.
LOL hate to be a Pistons fan this year. Unreal losing streak they are on and it's not like the team is terrible. Pistons actually led at the end of every quarter, maybe this game is a momentum builder for them.

616  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for loan. on: December 31, 2023, 09:23:41 AM
The altcoin I have is dexcoin the current market value is $150 it's locked in the account
That will not be considered valid collateral as most lenders will want 125% of the amount you are looking to get loaned in a currency they can exchange if you default on the loan. Best option is lock this thread as you have no shot at a loan.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there long-term profitable sports bettors? on: December 31, 2023, 09:16:55 AM
Casinos are crazy for stopping a gambler from betting when they have hit a hot streak. Everyone knows the house always wins in the long run. Really I don't think a casino should be allowed to tell a person they can no longer gamble unless they're caught cheating, but that's not the way it is.

Are there long term sports bettors in profit? Probably a few scattered throughout the world, but I personally do not know any.

To do this, it is advisable for him to place bets not in one bookmaker’s office, but in several.
This is a good idea to avoid being limited so quickly. Not sure it matters online because i'm sure your stats are linked from each site somehow, but Live casino's I think this is a great idea.
618  Economy / Gambling / Re: Welcome to 8ombard.com on: December 31, 2023, 03:43:49 AM
Thanks for the reply Oilacris,

We're open to any ideas on marketing and beginning a signature campaign, if you have any recommendations on the various ways to do it I would love to talk about it.

Hello Bombard!

A signature campaign would be nice for awareness
I think a campaign is in the works, just working out some bugs and working out a budget from the discussions I have had with the team. It's best they make sure the product is working properly before spending money on marketing IMO.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: December 31, 2023, 02:18:42 AM
Talking with someone that is Muslim yesterday, it was suggested to me that many Muslims around the world might be using crypto to circumvent the strict treatment of gambling in predominantly Muslim countries.

It was an interesting concept to consider that since crypto can be used to conceal your spending, it is probably also used by people who want to gamble to avoid the consequences based on religious practices.

But the more interesting side of this is that some probably interpret gambling with crypto as permissible under religious rules. Not exactly 100% approved let's say but not explicitly forbidden either.

So what do you think about this? Does gambling with crypto mean that laws about gambling being Haram don't apply all the time?
I was thinking that of crypto is earned outside of one's regular job, for example as a reward for activities such as bounties or sweepstakes, then maybe gambling with these earnings insta Haram?

These concepts are interesting to me because most Christian people like me, while having our religion dictate that gambling is a very serious sin, most do it anyway. Basically most christians aren't very pious at all and don't follow religion rules at least in my experience. So using loopholes to circumvent religious rules when your country even endorsed certain casinos isn't needed that much. So it's interesting to observe these differences.
If you are of a certain religion who doesn't believe in gambling and you are gambling in some way, are you really a believer in that religion? So many hypocrites when it comes to religion.

What's the penalty if you are caught gambling and are of a religion that doesn't believe in gambling?
620  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: December 31, 2023, 02:08:20 AM
We should completely forbid meriting any vote from the voting thread, not just from nominees to users who nominated them.

Perhaps next year this rule will be also added. Just a thought though.

I think meriting anything except the OP here would be a good rule. No reason to really merit anyone who voted for you, but people are free to spend merit anyway they want.

Is there a way to turn off merits for a thread?
