601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 on: August 07, 2014, 09:30:48 PM
Motto: DARWIN WILL PREVAIL
In which direction is the selection happening? I sense you feel that bad clones will become extinct, but maybe bad clones make the greedy extinct?
No, I am saying that many many coins will develop, but only the most innovative and most "fit" will survive (survive menaing: significant).

Perhaps also only the most "fit" investors/traders/miners will survive (survive meaning: still have money). Those that avoid the unfit coins.

In 100 years you will read about 99.999% of all coins in the history books Wink

Can you imagine the Table of Contents?  Cheesy

Good thing the society saves those bad traders, otherwise they would starve to death!!! Tongue

It would read like a bad joke, I bet.

"Grandpa, did you guys really have a coin called Dogecoin. Where people back then retarded?" Wink

LMFAO
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to Altcoins price if Bitcoin goes to the moon? on: August 07, 2014, 09:27:47 PM
Good topic, with some great replies & insights.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggestions to prevent scammers launch new shitcoins on: August 07, 2014, 08:55:22 PM
First of all: newbie accounts created only to start a coin should be banned, unless they are known alt of a trusted member.

Beyond that, I think no rules should be enforced, only we educate people for them to know the risks they are taking(scams - alt accounts - etc), and make maybe a group of experienced users to review the coins. As long the group didn't get corrupted, it will be worth.

I like that idea! +1

Agreed! Coins should only be able to be created from a trusted member!
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guaranteed basic income for everyone but they must give something back in return on: August 07, 2014, 12:48:03 AM
Don't think a guaranteed basic income for everyone would ever work, people with more knowledge & experience getting the same rate as someone with less? Since the beginning of time, til the end of time, there will always be different skills that some people have & some people don't. Sure they can teach or learn, but in the long run.. a basic income to everyone wouldn't be a good thing, a min income is a good idea though..
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING!!!!! WEBCOIN = Carsen Klock on: August 06, 2014, 11:18:08 PM
Nice catch. I took over one of his old Coins. Firecoin and it has been a pain in the butt trying to clear its name and get people to some back to it.

Your doing a great job too, don't give up. I still hold a few hundred Firecoins, from the allcoin dump. I was even there when it happened, watching all the people in the chat saying "wow, do that again". Like it was cool for someone to dump huge & then just get left behind when the price shot up for the next few hours.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin STILL has the highest number of ACTIVE ADDRESSES of all the altcoins. on: August 06, 2014, 10:53:28 PM
I'm sure there are 1000's of people who would like to be a part of non-PnD's. Count me in if you ever find one, would really be nice to see & know the next day isn't going to be a huge disappointment when looking at the market. Then having to wait months or even years, hoping not to forget about the 1 out of 1000 wallets sitting on a USB/SD/Paper wallet somewhere Huh

there is no reason to try to say it will skyrocket from nowhere.

It better not skyrocket from nowhere.

I would love to be a part of just one cryptocurrency where pumps and dumps do not happen.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FIRE] FireCoin + 97K+ PoS 1%+ .25 BTC contest drawing 8/10 7pm GMT on: August 06, 2014, 03:15:06 PM
I love the idea of the prize draw.

Just imagine if you can make enough profit from doing it, that in a few months the prize could be 5btc......thats when we will start to get noticed again.

Keep up the good work

+1 to the prize drawing as well, can't say I've seen someone try this yet. Very innovative Wink
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of all cryptocoins on: August 06, 2014, 02:54:54 PM
Shitttt.. Thats a lot of coins, shame half of them are scam coins and the other 49% of them are project which did not even leave the ground.

True, but it's actually not even close to every coin out there & hasn't been updated in a while. There are quite a few websites now that show every coin, over 1000+ if I recall right.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the basic features of 2nd gen cryptocoins? on: August 06, 2014, 02:39:34 PM
hmm, good question & wouldn't mind hearing a few answers on this one from the pros. I would say PoS & all other term coins started 2nd gen, but there are quite a few other things as well.. Like new algos, Anon, etc.. Would almost say that some might even say there are 3rd & maybe even 4th gen coins now too? Seeing many new features come out with every new coin launch & some added to old coins, some coins are forked from anothers & some are written from scratch I believe?

Edit: hmm, so 2nd gen coins are the online in-web wallets? I would have to agree with the new code, not a copy & that making it the next gen. Maybe even 2.1, 2.2, etc.. for the coins that only used part of the code from another coin & added new code that isn't from any other coin.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ASIC resistent coins? on: August 06, 2014, 02:21:33 PM
Would have to agree with the other replies, to some point. No, but all the new algo's that come out are & make it tough to mine with ASIC's. Just like Scrypt though, they will just build new tech that is able to mine with the new algo's.
611  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: List of Mining Rig Spec on: August 05, 2014, 10:55:15 PM
Great start for the website, maybe add links to where you can buy the hardware & or just a avg cost of the hardware... Also if it could show the avg BTC per day estimate? Really like the website name though, bitcoineval fits really well with a site like this.
612  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: i want to give 100 BTC to one user on bitcointalk. tell me why it is U. on: August 04, 2014, 02:43:13 AM
Would be used to start a Non-Profit PC donation business (already have the business name & 2yrs of service), sending computers to schools/hospitals/other non-profit businesses worldwide. Been a dream for many years, been repairing & custom building PC's for almost 10yrs. Tried an auto mechanics shop, back problems stopped that & then an electronics repair business with flatrate $25 (mostly volunteering & only charging $25 to cover a few costs). We all dream big, but very few ever make it & the ones that do...

P.S. Knowing this isn't really, but want to share my thoughts. There are so many people around the world who aren't able to enjoy the internet, this could open up the world + creative minds alike & help in so many ways.....
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Forum - Design Workshop, looking to clean up your ANN thread? on: August 03, 2014, 07:22:04 PM
Looking for Bitcointalk threads to clean up & add multiple design logo's, turn those outdated text threads into a design/clickable link Wink
PM with any offers or bounties, will spend hours upon hours & take any fair bounty offered Grin May even do it for free, just show me a thread that needs some work done & what you would like done.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Original Post clean up, turn that text into a design & get rid of text links... on: August 02, 2014, 07:37:25 PM
what is this exactly?

Original Post clean up, just like the subject line states. Just trying to help Dev's & community's of all the Original Post (doesn't have to be a coin thread), with design ideas. Basicly trying to get a foot in the door (excelling my creative designs & learning @ the same time), willing to spend hours upon hours helping Dev's & community create a better looking Thread/OP or ANN.

Edit: PM me if you would like a design made, will accept almost any offer & may even do it for free  Wink
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Bitcoin Forum - Design Workshop, looking to clean up your ANN thread? on: August 01, 2014, 02:12:29 AM
I'm in no way a pro (obviously), actually just learning in the background & need something to keep me busy.
Actaully a hardware guy, just trying to improve my knowledge on designs & videos..
