A bunch of miner (You and the others who participated) who looking for block of gold (block), mines together to get a gold (bitcoin) and whoever get it shares the gold with others.
So, you and the others work together to get a "block" that has bitcoin in it. Then if someone found it, He/She share it with others.

I don't recommend gambling. They're got house edge so you will eventually lose, no matter what. The lender can't access your address, nor selling your address if something bad happen. Only showing your address is useless while you can just run away and create another address. What is considered collateral?
Collateral is something that can easily be resold to cover the loan value plus interest should the loaner default on the loan.

If anyone wants to do it, the person could just send to any random address. I mean I would fancy an address with some catchy and funny names. Anyway, nice try catching some btc. If I want to do it, I would rather get the counterparty address and send whatever amount I want to.
