Great update. Any info whether FoW will use BCY or their own XCP asset for making ingame purchases?
They will for sure issue their own asset. But as i see some of that asset could be used also in SoF and soem of already issued SoG assed could be used on FoW game. Where you can see this? |

DCR team is so weak in marketing.
Truthfully I don't think they care all that much judging by how it's gone so far, they just seem to be behind the scenes working away at the project. I'm assuming once things are to a certain level of satisfaction then focus will be directed towards marketing. I don't think that the decred team do have a weak marketing, the decred forum is awsome and they are building a strong reputation around their product. In my opinion the weak point of Decred is more linked to the user experience. A Windows Gui wallet it was recently released but there is no Mac or Linux gui wallet today, so most of non tech guy still leave DCR on the exchanges. And this is NOT a good politics (did I mention Bitfinex?). I strongly belive that first of all, DCR need a complete suite of GUI official gui wallet. |

I had a close look on Zaif.Jp whit google translate: http://zaif.jp/ It is a very interesting exchange, focused on bitcoins and counterparty tokens whit bcy/jpy pair on option. Zaif.jp currently is trading a big volume in BTC/JPY pair: http://zaif.jp/trade_btc_jpy But of course a very little volumes (for now) in BCY/JPY pair: http://zaif.jp/token_trade/bitcrystals_jpy Anyway this is the right direction to offer BCY in non western country, ZAIF is an Only Japan Focused exchange but we all know that EDS/MOONGA are strong in Japan. Now it stongly needs some Chinese exchange that deal whit counterparty ande bitcrystalls. Is anyone able here to surf the Zaif exchange and see if there is any possibility to have montly volumes for bitcrystals?

In the last quarter facebook (the evil facebook  ) do demonstrate its strength as a primary marketing channel. I hope that in the very near future EDS put more attention on this social channel. Slack is very good to build a loyal "inside" community, and it is needed, but is not good at all for the the mass market. Anyway I have to remember that the most important communication and social channel for the crypto community IS NOT Slack. It is Bitcointalk, newcomers do not want to waste their time in subscribing new slack channles for every crypto project. Probably some more direct comunication here is needed. Telling people " go on Slack and ask Yodark" it is not a Wise idea.

China Exchange I agree, but this is an old story here... they don't listen us on any issue... They don't need any external opinion, it seems. It's been discussed extensively before, it is not easy to get on a Chinese exchange. Feel free to try, the team has tried before but were not successful. With all the new coins making an appearance as of lately it will be even harder. Realy It's been discussed. LOL |

I dont think will make much difference. But. Just do it. When done i am sure everyone will retweet or post or whatever so as many will see and help you request. The problem is the counterparty protocol, BTER is the only chinese exchange that support counterparty and actualy BTER have not a good reputation, anyway for a quick China landing, BTER is the only option. The other chinese options are: Btc38 Yunbi In those cases, probably EDS have to invest some money to ask those exchanges to support the Counterparty Protocol There is another option: Open Ledger (Bitshares) Trough an Open.Asset backed by Bitcrystalls trought a Gateway (blocktrades.us) Bitshares is running on a wallet that is a DEX (Decentralaized Exchange) quite popular in China because of a big community and a service called Transwiser. It is possible to ask Ronny Boesing from CCEDK to add Bitcrystals as a new asset on the top of bitshares and running on Open Ledger. Those are the options. |

However, partners and premium members who have a lifetime subscription to SoG card releases (one at the time as well) will make a considerable amount of noise if any new party would be allowed to purchase cards before them. Unfortunately! I suggest you mention this on Slack Viva, and see how people takes it. This is not about being able to purchase cards earlier but to have more card choices for newbies.
Well EDS should consider to sell those subscription cards only to partners (and premium members for premium cards), so they can eventually sold to the pubblic for a profit, there is always a solution that balance those problems. |

In my opinion there are 2 kinds of card customers: 1) Collectors/Traders 2) Real Gamers I do think that today, Collectors/Traders are prepared to spend more BCY than Real Gamers, in other words, there are more collectors/traders than gamers today, to proof is this weak month (june 2016) were no special offer was made (I'm talking about the CMC card deal made in May). This situation must revert when we do have a game on appstore or google play. I suggest to do more special deal (rare card deal) for Premium/Partner customers until the game will be ready to launch. All or most of what was made on Partner merchant so 2/3 is made by Speculators&Traders. I would take out Collectors since for a collection you need 1 card not 10. What bother me most is why public merchant offers only one card. I am sure is soem kind of strategy that on my opinion is not so perfect and push away exactly those that this game needs, the players. Regular guy that right now finds out the game, buys himself some Bicrystals and then try to buy card soon realize he can get only one( i know there are other swap bots and DEX, but i doubt they will find them that fast). I think would be much better if he would have choice of few cards that would complement each other. So would be carefully picked to be able to make a set with 6 speed out of them. Well yes, probably you are right, anyway I think that SoG marketing system lack of one crucial instruments: subscription. We can think about: - a lifetime suscription, a special card that give ther right to have 1 new card issued (card sended in the btc address where is the lifetime subscription card). - a montly? yearly? subscription card - a premium subscription card. - ....and so on. One of the boring thing about SoG assets management is Swapbots, I do think that a subscription card could be appreciate from customers because who own it, receive cards directly from EDS. Of course those subscriptions card must give some decent discount. (I think that a lifetime subscription card could cost about 15.000bcy today) Just my opinion. |
