601  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [OT / Ubuntu MDADM] HELP ! I dun goofed reel gud a RAID 5 array on: January 15, 2020, 08:21:57 PM
So you know the filesystem from md0 is ext4, right?
try giving mount /dev/sdb1 (and sdc1,sdd1)a hint via
Quote
-t ext4
since it can't read this info from /etc/fstab.
Mount READ ONLY if you don't have a backup and see if you can directly read from the partitions on the physical raid disk(s).

EDIT: Or was it /dev/sdb0 (...)
My daily unix practice aged well.

There is no point in trying to mount a linux-raid5 partition directly.
It is RAID5, not RAID1 (in which case - as vapourminer mentions - you can mount one part of the mirror only).
602  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [OT / Ubuntu MDADM] HELP ! I dun goofed reel gud a RAID 5 array on: January 15, 2020, 08:14:32 PM
Thanks, so we know there was no LVM on top.
Please try fsck again, but on the device not the mountpoint as you did above:

Code:
fsck.ext4 /dev/md0

Edit: It the above starts, it will (depending on your hardware) take ages (or 2 minutes longer) to complete - do not interrupt it!
603  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [OT / Ubuntu MDADM] HELP ! I dun goofed reel gud a RAID 5 array on: January 15, 2020, 07:32:53 PM
Thanks.

Again, your array is fine according to /proc/mdstat you posted, no need to recreate it and risk something.

Please also post output from
Code:
cat /etc/fstab

604  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [OT / Ubuntu MDADM] HELP ! I dun goofed reel gud a RAID 5 array on: January 15, 2020, 07:12:42 PM
May I ask what has led to this situation? (power loss, disk crash etc.)

Your array is obviously perfectly fine, don't panic!

Did you by chance have LVM on top of that RAID ?

If you can, post your fstab and the output of 'lsblk -f' or 'blkid'.

608  Other / Meta / Re: Why does Bitcointalk not have a custom (specific) logotype? on: January 13, 2020, 09:38:50 PM
There was a discussion about this very topic last year (and probably a few more), the thread also has some proposals for a logo:

609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for a verified gate.io user on: January 13, 2020, 02:52:43 PM
Thanks to all who offered to help. I could sell my coins and am therefor locking the thread.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for a verified gate.io user on: January 09, 2020, 03:45:14 PM
I do have a gate.io verified account. Pm me if you want to use my help. thanks

Thank you for your offer, appreciate it.

Though as you carry quite a few (bit of an understatement) red trusts and this transaction would involve me going first, I prefer to reject your offer.
I am sorry if this sounds unfair, but there are too many people I trust who distrust you.

The world is full of idiots

Around two thousand Americans were recently asked to locate Iran on a map... Shocked

Hahaha lol what is wrong with some people, I thought I was the only one that don't know sh*t  Roll Eyes

Those thinking Iran is in the US or south America itself Roll Eyes

Those dots in the sea can only be on purpose of-course

Spain, the UK to be left alone ... remarkable

Thanks god the US missiles are a tad smarter.
Considering that some of these participants end up in front of the joystick of a predator makes me feel a bit worried.

613  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request Support (or Opposition) for Flags here! on: January 08, 2020, 02:03:30 PM
* psycodad needs a script to auto-oppose, now that was quite a job.

I take my responsibility and right of supporting or opposing flags quite serious, but for Bitcoin SV I made an exception after the fifth or sixth flag he raised without any real evidence posted.

If this is not blatant abuse of the flag system, I'd be interested to hear what then defines abuse of the flag system.

I hope theymos or another mod takes proper action on him.
614  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request Support (or Opposition) for Flags here! on: January 08, 2020, 06:20:00 AM
Stupid Bitcoin SV even don't know how work flag system. It doesn't necessary to open multiple flags for same reason. You might open just single flag for single reason. Seems they have open multiple flags against me.

Here is flags: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=1980983;page=iflags

Nobody ever tried to Flag me!
Leave a negative feedback to Bitcoin SV, then your dream will filled (IMO).

Opposed all of them, now waiting for the incoming red tags and flags - I wear them with proud, like the one from Hatch Support.

Looks like somebody is running a time warp attack against ARI the 2nd time since yesterday.

Any fixes upcoming?
616  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2020, 05:19:28 PM
Got this in the mail this morning, guess there will be events to unfold in the next days and we will find out how much of the much bespoken safe haven BTC is really during crisis time.

https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/alerts/aa20-006a

(However this might be also an excuse to blame the Iranians for any piece of IT equipment falling over int the next days - that could come handy if office361 goes titsup once more)
617  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2020, 03:59:27 PM
I just can't resist to brag all around about my Basorexia card:

What a day, first some nice pump on BTC and then this.
And later I'll even get one of my favourite dishes - Picata Milanese, I have no more wishes for today.

(Please save the breakout above $8k for tomorrow, today was good enough already for me.)  Grin

the real surgical strikes will be when we all have implants in our bodies inserted at birth - or anytime (((they))) want really. then, just need the weapon to target that implants ID. snimple.

implants not needed

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CO6M2HsoIA

yeah saw that a while back. looks kinda contrived... firing live autonomous target seeking munitions in an auditorium full of people. uuuh, ok.

unless it was meant to be a "demo" or something. just gave a quick look.

but the premise is sound. those things will be around. if they arent already..

It is a staged production from https://autonomousweapons.org/ , though I bet some TLAs are deploying more capable thingies right as we speak.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo LTC Image and Support thread on: January 06, 2020, 07:16:57 PM
Thanks. Changes added  Smiley

Yes, Windows 10 has ssh. I need to use "-l futurebit" for login name after "ssh IP".

Thank you for your feedback.
You are right, I forgot the user part in ssh login, I have added it above.
