601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is GPU Mining Still Profitable? Should YOU Build a Mining Rig? GPU Mining Dead? on: March 05, 2018, 04:51:33 AM
It is still profitable to mine but for some of us who pay 0.25 cent per kilowatt it's not much meat left on the bones after expenses to keep me really motivated as a miner. This can change very fast though in crypto if market goes up. I will continue mining with what I got until my cards stops working but I will not upgrade.

Will be more understandable when someone said not profitable to do mining and gave us their reasons. So, one of the reasons someone told that mining didn't become profitable anymore is electricity cost (dependent on which areas). Acceptable!
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Working or not ? Two video Cards with my old motherboard on: March 05, 2018, 02:54:55 AM
So my question is, if i buy a second video card (the same one), will it work on my old motherboard ?  Huh
Someting special to do or just install the new card in the slot ?

As long as those boards have a PCIe socket, you can use it. You are using RX series if you run on stock bios it's easier but if you modification your bios card, may you need to bypass a driver signature to make sure a system can read your cards.

I also use an old board on my first GPU rig. This is my first board and still used till now:

603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is GPU Mining Still Profitable? Should YOU Build a Mining Rig? GPU Mining Dead? on: March 05, 2018, 02:36:52 AM
gone are the days people were making $15 a day with a card

now, the market is leveled out to a realistic level, but the video card prices have not dropped.

its not worth getting a 1080ti to barley get 2 dollars a day....and it will only get worse, to where you need rigs to make money.

its NOT profitable its a good hobby but dont quit your day job

I Want to know a view of someone (maybe you are miner), are you didn't get any profit from mining? Are you really a miner? Or you just say something that you didn't do? Sorry, no offense. I am a miner and till now still get enough profit every days, weeks, month. May something wrong with your way to mining.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining worth it? on: March 04, 2018, 03:22:06 AM
Thanks for the response. I've decided that I will build a gaming PC and maybe add some extra graphic cards on. The prices are crazy for most graphic cards at the moment.

You can use the old board (the cheapest one) instead of gaming board if you plan on mining. One of my Rig use old Gigabyte board (M2+ Socket) with 5 PCIe, bought that around $17. Trust me, didn't give any difference with Asrock H81 Pro BTC (I have this board also).

605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to find new coins to mine? on: March 04, 2018, 02:53:41 AM
You ask in the place that you try to find. Announcement Thread on this forum would give you tons of newly coins info.

if you know how to create a pool, you can find the newest coins in this sections: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0
i have solo mined Dero, ITNS when it just began and have low diff.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Yeah, Am doing the same before. But I build a mining pool because I didn't have a physical rig. So, I rent Hashrate from Nicehash and sometimes from Mining Rig Rental and point it to my own mining pool that has been adding that new coins. But after building a Rig, I mine to QT-Wallet (sometimes).  Wink
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Weird problem with my R9 390x Hawaii (Mininng ethash) on: March 04, 2018, 02:38:22 AM
I have similar problem before with MSI 390, guess what I'm doing with it! I use Gun Heater and heating the processor on that card, and use Hawaii bios editor to change some setting on that card then that card back to normal. But....After a few month (8-9 month I think) this card act like before, damn. Now I use 290 (1100 CoreClock, 1250 MemClock) bios setting to that card, Seems stable now with lower Hashrate (26 MHs in Ethash), 32 MHs before.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is electroneum mining worth it? on: March 03, 2018, 01:22:51 PM
depends on the GPU series. but to my knowledge, if use GPU better to mine on ETH, ETC, Zec because of those coins which I feel profitable. 4 months ago, I once mine ETN used 2U 12 cores 24 threads and get 30 ETN per day. but for now, it is not profitable.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best GPU For mining?? on: March 03, 2018, 09:59:09 AM
Hi Any one with info for best gpu mining ??

Thanks.

For me is AMD cards : R9 290,290x,390,390x . RX series (470,480,570,580) 4/8GB. NVIDIA card: 1070,1070'tis.

what the best for me not sure the best for another miner, that's same with you ask the best GPU for mining. So, the best GPU depends on the skill every a miner to use the GPU it.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best GPU for mining Ethereum on: March 03, 2018, 09:10:32 AM
MSRP is the market price right ?

ok so RX580 8G is the best for fast ROI as you all suggest.

the problem is in my country the RX 580 8G is as expensive as the GTX 1070. around 400 / 500 euros. this is crazy.

i already have a rig of gtx 1070 wich i am not satistied by the ROI.
not also,
fast or not, it depends on from the price of ETH when converted to BTC. a good situation is when ETH and BTC rising price. and almost in all countries, price a GPU is rising because of many a demand.
610  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: USB RISER (Tutorial Sangat Singkat) on: March 03, 2018, 06:13:02 AM

VER008C

https://www.bukalapak.com/p/komputer/aksesoris-226/kabel-usb/fika4i-jual-riser-pcie-ver-008c-empat-kapasitor-kabel-usb-3-60cm?dtm_section=overview&dtm_source=search_listing&keyword=

611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Used Gpus temps questions on: March 03, 2018, 05:42:25 AM
I a little bit confusing at first times read your post, please don't call it solo eth mining, better use single mining. If you are using this word "solo eth mining" it can be mean that you are doing solo mining not pooled mining.

Qs 1
A wrong bios version potentially to damage your cards, mainly it has been used for an extended period.

Qs 2
Offcourse, your compound or thermal paste would be so dry and un-useful.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Corsair HX1200i PSU pinout on: March 03, 2018, 05:22:24 AM
I didn't have that product but with those power capacity, it must be four PCIe cable split into eight PCIe connector (one cable with two connectors in the end). Those kinds of connector would product max power 300 Watt except one single cable with one connector in the end and we are using a Y splitter, it would produce max power 150 Watt with combined that two connectors of Y splitter.

So, if you are using 6 GPUs with single power on it (8 Pins or 6 Pins) it can be handled with those PSU without any splitter.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What To Mine Today with R9 290 on: March 03, 2018, 05:05:35 AM
One of my rigs, fully R9 series (290,290x,295x2), I always like to tell more details about this rig, here it is:
XFX 295X2 (1 card but Dual-GPU)
Sapphire 290 (1 Card)
MSI 290 (1 Card)
MSI 290X (1 Card)
Asus 290 (1 Card)
Asus 290 Reference (1 Card)

And that is my first GPU Rig and still giving me profits till now. This rig mine Eth with 30-31 Mhs for each Card, except 295X2 it's 61-62 Mhs (since this is dual-GPU Cards).

I suggest Ethash, Equihash, or NeoScrypt maybe with R9 series, but better do your own research. Pay more attention with cards temperature.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EVGA - 1080 TI - what to mine? on: March 03, 2018, 04:43:40 AM
For better result, you could spend one or two days to try every possible Algorithm with your 1080Ti, and compare it. For reference, you can go round to online technical coin info and mining calculator websites such as whattomine, coinwarz, etc. Make the information you get as your reference and do your own research. What the best for they didn't mean the best for you.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1 8gb rx580 earnings = 2 T/Hs ASIC earnings in btc on: March 03, 2018, 04:33:23 AM
If ETH become POS, many gpu miners will switch mining into more profitable altcoin. If that happens, that POW altcoin difficulty will increase so much and might affect your expected earnings in bitcoin.....

The measures of profiatable always different for every miner, I think. Especially for experienced miners, they have own calculation method for deciding which coin are more profitable than others. There are miners doing solo mining with newly released coins or else trying to mine minor coins and hold it for a few time. And so on...

Almost all newly miner always following a hot trend, they didn't have enough experience and confidence to do something different, but again this is about the experience. So, don't to worry about some coin become POS nor Difficulty increased, etc.

Thanks man. I am a bit confused since he said that these 2 numbers are showing up whenever he wants to check the hash of his miner. Maybe he can calculate his profits from now on.

So, what is the number 106.7 showed for?

From picture it is obvious it's averages for 10sec | 60sec | 15min ... So, 106.7 is avg for 60s.

Thanks for clearing that out man. I am not good at these programs even my friend and he still started mining despite that. He said that he will not get any good profits from his 8 hour mining activity, and the funny part is that he is just using his laptopEmbarrassed

I just thought he is using a Desktop PC.

say to your friend, buddy

don't again use a laptop to mine because of the mining process must run 24/7 and the laptop doesn't design for it. and mining process produces heat while a laptop has a small fan.which will never be able to release excessive heat.

and a bit hashrate because of must competition with  GPU miners.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining - DELL T610 on: March 02, 2018, 01:48:36 PM
Hi Guys,

I've got a Dell T610 Server with
- Quad-core Intel Xeon processors 5600 series
- Intel 5520 Chipset
- Onboard 5 PCIe G2 slots (Two  x8 slots AND Three x4 slots)

So, i was wondering

1- how effective will it be to mine using CPU?

you can try to mine ETN or XMR coin. but your profit smaller than expected except you have free electricity and internet access.

2- can i install GPUs to the 5 PCI G2 slots to get a better result, if so which cards are supported?
yes, you can do it.
whatever MB type as long as has PCIe socket, you can plug your GPUs on it. but you need USB Riser to expand GPU positioning.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any suggestions on building quiet moderately priced rig? on: March 02, 2018, 01:12:25 PM
RIG never quiet except your RIG idle. besides that, RIG produces heat temperature will influence your bedroom temperature. and The current GPU price is terrible.
