Yes if u staked in the old wallet with the old fork so all staked coins wont hit the new fork and cannot exist there. But I am glad, that u found now the right fork and of course, ur coins back!

Yeah, I believed for some coins not shown it should be shown later, because old qt 1.6.0.0 has more block than ver 1.6.2.0, Thank you for the guidance, this will help for others who will encounter same like mine.

Me thinks this will be an issue again when hard coded nodes are used in wallet.  Unless these nodes are testing wallet version and refusing connection, or other sigevent to notify user of outdated wallet.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Team FLY : v1.6.2 wallet released! The most trusted coin in crypto! on: November 16, 2015, 01:43:54 AM
Thank you, and yes, my wallet is the 1.6.2 from OP.

Now, like I said: sending coins from the wallet works fine; the stuck coins are those minted from my main wallet and sent automatically to Cryptopia as I changed my savings address to the address of deposits there.

In other words: My savings address is now the deposit address from Cryptopia; my main wallet have sent 3 transactions to  my savings address (Cryptopia's deposit address) and they are not received yet.

I hope that makes it clear now Smiley

I think exchanges might not receive transactions correctly that are automatically sent from staking - if you read back a few pages, I'm pretty sure that someone warns against setting your savings address to Yobit.

I know that when I had set my savings address to my Yobit deposit address, my transactions never showed up there. Total bummer, I know  Tongue

Yep, that's true, but if we don't do that, then we need to pay 10% fee just to send the coins to the exchange, and that's no good. So, I think it should be ok to put the exchange address as the savings address, otherwise, how can we trade the POS coins?

I totally agree - and that's why I initially set my savings address to my Yobit deposit. But there must be something technically different about a transaction that results from a stake to savings vs. a regular "sendtoaddress" transaction. For some reason the exchanges don't recognize the former - maybe someone more knowledgeable about the wallet code can enlighten us?

At any rate, it sounds like vegas's new plan for waiving high tx fees for verified richlist addresses might satisfy our concerns when it is implemented.

My understanding is (please Vegas or Woody correct me), if it comes from your named POS address, it will be exempted from the 10%.

I tried the wallet on 2 Pc and also tryed 32 & 64 ver   I using windows ver on  windows 7

Wallet keeps crashing  "GenStake-qt.exe has stop working"   how do I fix this?

  kprell40

I had the same problem on Win7 64bit & Win8.1.

I switched to the 32 bit version of the wallet and all is working.
no need to delete any files or directories.

Just del 64bit  went to 32  but it won't sync up now i get  Exeption st13untime_error cd(): can't open database file wallet.dat error -30974

 will repairwallet fix this ?

First try backing up and renaming your wallet.dat and restart, this will creat a new empty wallet.  To check if it is your wallet.dat that is incompatible or something else in the directory.

If it is the same wallet.dat error then you may need to do this:

 - Backup your %APPDATA%\Genstake dir then delete all files and directories.
 - Start 32 bit version allow it to resync.
 - Shutdown wallet
 - rename empty wallet and place your good wallet in the %appdata%\Genstake DIR
 - Start 32 bit version
 - should display rescanning on start-up

Or start the 32bit wallet with the commandline -salvagewallet  (backup the wallet first!)

Net Hashing rate ~460 MH/s

People are still mining, and 20 million coin supply is not bad for a niche coin.

Don't give up on the project Dev.

Cryptopia is up and running.

Lets get some Bid/Ask and volume on the board there so you will get some attention on the new marketplace.

SWEEEEEET Finally received my FLY from YoBIT! AND, with that, I just cracked the top 50 on the richlist. I know it's not a big deal to most of you, but I really worked to get that 100 FLY. Made it ALL off of trading and selling. Not easy but it's amazing how much some people will pay for your old, dead coins. Took me a while....but I did it!!

Thanks to the FLY Team!!  Way to pull it together. Looks like Rum-n-Coke time....AGAIN! ARRRRRRG me Mateys

My wallet is all good now.

Backup, backup, and a third backup just in case.
Do Not Put your Backup in you %APPDATA% directory!  or a subdirectory thereof.  Things may get erased.

Went from 1.5 to the old 1.6.1 to the new 1.6.1 wallet.

It worked when I allow each new version to sync up with an empty wallet, then added my wallet.dat to the roaming directory and started the wallet with the -salvagewallet commandline argument.

Didn't seem to work straight from v1.5 to the keesdewit v1.6.1.

If this helps anyone.

IMPORTANT Re-Post

A round of applause to:
Vegas - He went into high speed to get this fix done so people can get their coins
which were stuck on Yobit. From post #20 Vegas-"Ohh, this is going to be a wild
ride -  Depending on your position, you might laugh or cry, or both"
EuropeCoin for recommending a quality developer
keesdewit - Developer of Amsterdam Coin who made the necessary fix at lightspeed
(With the time zone changes for him it was very late at night)

New wallet fixing Yobit withdrawal problem (See post #1503 above)

keesdewit !!! Nice!  He is doing great things with the AMS coin!  I have been following AMS for a long time.

You are in good hands.

Grin

I wonder if anyone has been gaming the blockchain during all this..  Wink

Hopefully not, but a release of the Blockchain code would probably be a good idea on the next wallet update.

Does not need to be a full release of the wallet code.  Just the core, for review and transaction verification.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Team FLY : v1.6 wallet released! The most trusted coin in crypto! on: November 11, 2015, 04:34:03 PM
Here it goes... my big scheme...

I have 2 wallets and 1 YObit account.

1 Wallet is my main staking wallet, let's call it MAIN, it is a one way wallet for FLY coins that I wish to stake and quailfy for SuperFLY.  It stakes into itself.

The other wallet is my liquid wallet, lets call it TRADE.  This is the wallet the is used to send funds to and from Exchanges, Peoples, and things... It is staking into itself, or MAIN wallet.

1 YOBit account, because only YObit is trading the coin.  Only thing in there is coins for active trading.
I do not keep coins in exchanges if I don't need to.

The extra FLY not is the MAIN wallet is a safeguard (liquid) coins to wait and see if SuperFly was going to work and to spend and send to others. These FLY coins are kept seperate and under 100 coins (to not break the rules), and available to use and not affect my staking or SuperFLY in MAIN wallet.

The TRADE wallet follows the rules the same as having coins in multiple exchanges, as long as it does not contain 100 FLY or is used for SuperFLY.

First there was talk of only having one Exchange, then talk of adding others, so the TRADE wallet is to collect and move FLY without messing with the MAIN wallet.

It looks like I have FLY available in my TRADE wallet while others are stuck in YObit.

Very simple plan, nothing evil...

OK, I think the best exchange for listing is https://www.cryptopia.co.nz

I will check into requirements to be listed and go from there.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

My opinion for what it is worth, Bitrex, Cryptopia, Bleutrade, are good exchanges for a growing coin.  YObit is just too much noise and scam coins.

I am sure there are other junior exchanges, but I don't have time to track them all, but I can recommend the ones that work for me.

Wow nice staking of SuperFly, So sad for me, Coz I don't have enough BTC for FLY as of now.

Hopefully I can join later.

As soon as you have 100 FLY you are eligible &, of course, follow the other rules - posting, etc.

Not exactly accurate.  Having 100 FLY does not automatically qualify you for SuperFLY.  You must be manually approved by Vegas and added to the list to be part of the reward.

It says - following the rules.  Apparently, you did not follow the rules.
It appears your coins were traced to another wallet under another name.

Oh please do tell what conspiracy you have uncovered!

Multiples named accounts!  Seriously!  That is the reason? As if there was some sort of ulterior motive nobody would find out about in a traceble blockchain?

You need to come up with a better excuse than that.  Do I need to explain my every transaction of FLY Coin with the 'Collective' to ensure it meets their approval?

This coin is deviating from the decentralized currency of crypto to a very totalitarian type of crypto where no one may echange the coin without the explict approval of the 'Collective'.

If you wish, I will explain my transactions of FLY Coin right here on the forum for all to scrutinize...

This goes back to my previous point, SuperFLY is not an automatic tier.  It is manually controlled by a person or party.  There is human bias involved not just a coin volume tier.

The fork is almost upon us and you need to have 100 FLY or more and your address/named claimed by today 5PM PST in order to receive stakes from the SuperFLY wallet. Names only get added once a week so those people will split those stakes equally. There are some rules that you will need to follow like you are not allowed to move coins from that address but you can use the 'saving' feature and you can sell your stakes. So check all of the rules to make sure you follow so you can keep those SuperFLY stakes coming in.

Here is the current list of the wallets to get SuperFLY stakes. This will be locked at 5 PM PST so please check to make sure you see your name if you are participating in the SuperFLY stakes.

http://www.bitcoinlasvegas.net/files/friday-nov6th-2015.jpg

Remember that you will also need to post about fly on one of the social medias and link back to fly thread as proof
once a week to stay in SuperFLY.

Apparently I am missing from the list....

Had 100 FLY for many days, and posted, so what am I missing...

Losing my patience with YObit listed coins.

Hope you find another exchange, I am focusing more on other exchanges.  Too many disappointments on YOBit, meaning, there are lots of coins listed, but not a lot worth trading.

3 scam coins in the last week...  This has to get undercontrol somehow.  Problem is not the exchanges in large, it's the people still hoping for the big payout on new coins.

Not implying FLY is in the same group, but still waiting for a raodmap and business plan for this coin, other than a 'feel good' coin.  You need a plan to seperate yourself from the collection of pointless coins.

What will add value to the future of the coin when 95% of the coin is sitting on PoS?

Just a quick chime in to the Amsterdam Coin Team.

The coin swap went smooth and the wallet change went smooth.

Keep up the good work.  Looking forward to furture features and plans.
