601  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Potential Solution for Subscription Payments on the Bitcoin Network on: October 04, 2023, 02:51:59 AM
I honestly don't mind about subscription payments. What's so uncomfortable with getting notified that you need to repay the service every once in a while?
When you have a business and it needs to have many tools to manage it and pay yearly or monthly then it's really hard to check with all the emails/notifications you receive. You are easily missing a payment then seeing the service is not working. With an automatic subscription you have no hassle at all. If you don't have much online activity and have recurrent payment for one or two company then it sounds easy to track though but from my experience I can tell even with one or two recurrent payment, without having an automatic subscription plan you still miss your payments.

Locktime is a field in every transaction which is the minimum block height or date that needs to be fulfilled for the transaction to be valid. In Electrum, you can try it out in testnet. Choose an address to send tBTC, click "Send", then "Advanced", then right up there there is "LockTime". Try setting it to a couple of minutes (or blocks) into the future. You will notice that you will be incapable of broadcasting that transaction before that.

LoyceV has written a well guide for setting up inheritance planning with locktime: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5180850.0
Thank you.
602  Economy / Reputation / Re: I believe this account is handled by someone else on: October 04, 2023, 02:42:07 AM
I had a good connection with user alani123 back in 2018-2019 when he disappeared from all the online channels. I tried him everywhere even his WhatsApp but could get any response till now. He was offline from bitcointalk too, Now few days ago I see activity from this account and again tried all the channels but not getting a response. That's why I'm believing the account owner has been changed.

Maybe he is ignoring you. I am sure he owe you money LOL
Frankly speaking, an account can easily change it's hand and the new owner may not have a clue of your previous relation with this account owner.
603  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tor was not working on: October 04, 2023, 02:34:00 AM
Looks like Microsoft have confirmed this was a false positive and have updated Windows Defender definitions: https://forum.torproject.org/t/torbrowser-12-5-6-no-longer-flagged-by-windows-defender/9522/. So you should be safe to update the definitions and then remove Tor from quarantine.
After all we had nothing to worry about LOL

Could you elaborate a bit more on this? I understand that Windows is a privacy nightmare, but if someone uses Tor in accordance with all the recommendations, does that mean that some private things are still leaking and can be used to try to identify someone?
It doesn't really matter how private your browser is when your OS is spying on everything you do. Using Tor is still better than using any other browser, but if you are using Windows 11 you should assume your privacy is roughly zero.
I am yet to get my hand on Linux. Can anyone find a good tutorial of how to install it, some sort of step by step will be helpful with where to download it. I basically have two device. Old-school of course. On the other device which I consider secure I only brows known applications like exchanges I am in, occasionally bitcointalk.
604  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Potential Solution for Subscription Payments on the Bitcoin Network on: October 03, 2023, 06:58:52 PM
Many people in the Bitcoin community have said that these technologies Bitcoin scripting layer 1, TrustSwap, Sablier, and Bitcoin Lightning Network with LSAT protocol offer potential solution for subscription payment, membership payments and recurring payments on the Bitcoin network. How true or feasible is this?
The subscription payment is what I miss a lot with cryptocurrency, obviously with bitcoin.

IF you want a TL;DR, you can basically sign a bunch of time-locked transactions ahead of time, and then broadcast them one by one automatically as each subscription renewal date approaches. There are a lot of fine details that are not covered by this simple explanation, so I advise you to read the whole thread.
I have done many thing with bitcoin but I am yet to check how time-lock transaction works. Could you refer me a good guide please? I am comfortable with Electrum.
605  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bc.game not honouring deposit bonus on: October 03, 2023, 06:54:02 PM
(edit for clarity: I did receive the first deposit bonus, no issues there. However, there is no indication that this stops. The bonus message ('Get extra 100% bonus on minimum of 0.459 LTC deposit') is present to this second. This is a lock, no wiggle room).
The message looks very simple and 99 out of 100 player will fall for this message if they have fund to deposit. I really don't see anything not to honour that was said. BC.Game can come up with some excuses, they can direct it to their terms page but I don't think anyone can justify this clear message.

That's not hslf as bad as me completing s $75,000 rollover for them to then only credit me $100 of the deposit bonus saying $100 was the max when it was not on the terms. Also they oy let you play originals and it counts as 5% so a 40X rollover is really 200X and I am.SVIP 5 lol
That sucks. You should have read their terms and conditions first if it was already existed there.
606  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Post your PGP key, add an encrypted message, open for anyone. on: October 02, 2023, 05:06:36 AM
This is really an unexpected development.

If I was creating a thread asking for post review then I think a lot of people would posting their links to review the posts and award merit but when I am asking people to learn a life saving technique then very little number of members are showing interest.

How sad?

People may leave me several negative feedbacks before they understand it's a prank. LOL
Have fun. You can post the encrypted message here and I will keep it secret until I was asked to decrypt it from you.

But if you truly love bitcoin then don't mind these tags, continue improving yourself, learn and share bitcoin. Overtime everything will disappear.
You mean like the reds would disappear just like that? Like magic?  Grin
No, that's not what I meant. The reds are not going to matter for the OP because he will not care about any financial gain. But looking at the history it does not look like the OP have any motivation to contribute on the forum. A member account. They account will become in-active very soon.
608  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tor was not working on: October 02, 2023, 04:53:58 AM
Try using Brave browser, it's got a TOR version.
This is poor advice. Using Tor via a browser which is not Tor negates like 95% of the reason you would use Tor in the first place. Not to mention that Brave is terrible for privacy, allows trackers from companies which pay them enough, still collects your data to serve you ads, and more.
I will never use Brave TOR browser. I cam mistakenly expose my real IP with the regular browser. With TOR I feel safer, safer than using a premium VPN.

I have seen this also happen when nobody checks an update against common AV scanners.
The default set-up of TOR even update the browser when you restart it. Yesterday I had to change the setting of auto update. It was not easy to find for me.

Or installing an older version works too https://www.filehorse.com/download-tor-browser/old-versions/
This was new to me. I hope it is trusted sharing platform.
609  Economy / Service Discussion / Tor was not working on: September 30, 2023, 06:28:43 PM
Detected: Trojan:Win32/Malgent!MTB

Details: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.

Affected items: file: C:\Users\----pc_name-----------\Desktop\Tor Browser\Browser\TorBrowser\Tor\tor.exe

The above are the information.

When I was trying to connect TOR it was not working. Later I found it's blocked by defender and that file Trojan:Win32/Malgent!MTB was found. This is a less secure device so I removed it from Quarantine and TOR is working.

On my secure device it's the same. TOR is not working for the same reason. In both device same problem. My question is what should I do in this situation. I don't want to risk my secure device but I need to use TOR there too. is it okay to do the same on that device too.

Suggestions please.
610  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: September 30, 2023, 12:27:05 AM
Not really a shitpost but a shitPM from a user with ~900 activity and zero merits:

Quote
Hello...can you give me 1 merit.please?

I get that sometimes LOL
Forward the MF to this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5461523.0

If he really need it then let him earn it. I doubt though if they are willing to learn anything.

Have Any Chance To Withdraw My Red/Negative Trust..?
You have more now LOL
I give you this advice. You really need to spend your time on this forum. Whatever is your reason, you did wrong things. Learn from the mistakes. Start over because this current account has nothing left if you have an intention to earn from signature campaigns which is the prime reason for most of the members these days.

But if you truly love bitcoin then don't mind these tags, continue improving yourself, learn and share bitcoin. Overtime everything will disappear.

613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 29, 2023, 11:19:03 PM
@BitcoinGirl.Club we are both going on quite badly compared to last season. We need to collect ourselves to challenge for top 10.
Yes we are, I think this season I will top from the bottom LOL. I am not losing hope because it's a long season and we need only a few good rounds. Match day tomorrow. I still have not done my pick. But will do it at the morning.

Tottenham vs Liverpool, I am not sure why bookies are thinking Liverpool is going to struggle. The odd for Liverpool is 23/20.

Will we see another match like Castle vs Liverpool?
614  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Post your PGP key, add an encrypted message, open for anyone. on: September 28, 2023, 02:30:31 PM
I totally forgot about this topic LOL

@Zenp, I had to reset my windows a few days ago and all old setting are gone. I will need to install the tools to check your message. Once I get time to do that I will reply you. Can't wait to see what you wrote.

Keep sending your encrypted messages.
615  Economy / Reputation / Re: To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men on: September 27, 2023, 02:31:38 PM
That depends on whether you are single or not,  I don't know if you are female or male, but I can sense you have a cute soul.😉
Another misdirection and I get it all the time because of the display name 😉. Those of the members who know me from years, they are not confused but other then them, many members especially who are relatively new always get the impression that the person behind this account is a female. I became a father in 2018 and she is my everything in the world.

Fun fact, I was nominated "miss bitcointalk" by several members so were foxpup and yahoo LOL.
616  Economy / Reputation / Re: To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men on: September 27, 2023, 10:45:18 AM
But exceptional case can be when you tag someone and the person requested for you to remove a feedback in a way he can even be begging you about it.
No one yet asked me in PM to remove the feedback I left to them. Of course when a feedback is outdated and I feel its not needed anymore, I will review it or remove it. I am more comfortable to hear of removing a feedback than giving a feedback.

The point I think is not good is that you are insinuating that people should not have friend online. As for me I have friends on this forum. But friends are different from friends. I do not trust any friend online because they may want scam and I do not leave room for that, but I have some preference of the ones that we are friends and none can offend me because I am not a fool.
The definition of friend and enemy is different for you and me then. I have good relation with many forum members. But we can not say we are friends to each others. I do not think any of them will be comfortable to share their home address and invite me in their house. I will not.
617  Economy / Reputation / Re: Censorship - JollyGood & BetKing.io Scam on: September 27, 2023, 10:04:02 AM
Agree or disagree with someone does not make friends or enemies.
Where did I say it does? I did not say such thing anywhere, I am confident.
618  Economy / Reputation / To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men on: September 27, 2023, 09:50:43 AM
Some of you may grew an idea that I am mad at some specific users or brands. Such as Rollbit, JollyGood, Ratimov and some others. You do not engage in a discussion when I am laud against the wrong of the users or brands because it personally do not or did not effecting you. But when it does then you come to my PM with your requests. It shows you are motivated by personal benefits and you are selfish.

This is an anonymous place. It just does not make sense to have a personal relationship with a person, take their words seriously and react. Here considering someone as friend and enemy are both weird. A friend knows everything about his friend, an enemy does his study based on the physical existence of the person he dislike, at-least he will know your home and office address. You do not know any verified information about me, none of you never saw me. So I am not your friend, nor your enemy.

Bitcoin is everything for me. With my life I believe Bitcoin is the financial freedom against all monopoly of these so called governments who are corrupted. People are the power, not a selected circle. Bitcoin will bring the power back to the people. The forum is the biggest place for bitcoin to receive support which mean this is an important place for bitcoin and it's ecosystem. The well being of the forum is my main concern, not individuals. I work to protect this forum not an individual.

I am not motivated by personal benefits too, I am not influenced by any earning from the forum. Yes, it does give me some stash but I do not work for it. It comes automatically because the managers think I deserve it. If no managers want me in their campaigns so be it. I am not here to earn the bread and butter.

Here is the reason of this thread: Please do not PM me and ask favor to add/remove a specific user or to leave a feedback because something effected you personally. I have no interest in personal conflicts, if a matter is important for forum well being as a whole then you are most welcome. I will speak up.

The title is relevant.

Ah I see! The OP has been inactive for almost five years and only recently got a new negative. I missed that fact.
Good for you.

so I cannot say whether he has changed or not.
No one knows but people change when time pass. Holding into the past is not natural.

So these DT1 members included her on their trust list? Hope this data is up to date.
I think you got those people who he trust but I don't think there will be much change. JollyGood only add people who added him. He is one of a prime example of backscratchers. I will bring you a link shortly.
