601  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rather learn to trade by yourself on: October 10, 2020, 10:18:46 AM
...
I also keep shouting this, you have to trade on your own...
Don't want to be fooled by investment management or brokers who promise big profits if you give them money. they are just marketing and already have a thousand reasons when losing in the market. You will only lose if you entrust your money to others. 'learn to trade on your own even if it's difficult'

How about the newbies?

How they would be able to identify a legitimate or a scam investment without relying to other people, or maybe just the information they can say or know. It is true that if we could trade by ourself, we could do that but we can't just jump to that without being a newbie first, we all went there and most of us even still rely on this forum for informations and sources.
602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump gets Covid and we Crash? on: October 10, 2020, 08:52:42 AM
Like holy hell what a ride the past day has been with the bitmex stuff and now the POTUS getting covid with the first lady (they say) Everything is taking a dump.

Buy the dips though.

Actually we didn't see that much of a dip as it was expected, both in the stock markets as well as the crypto currency markets. Maybe the markets have stopped reacting to corona virus now as it has been there for almost half a year. It's like the market has adopted to the virus.

The price fell and pumped during the pandemic.

Saying that, I don't think that we can actually see a correlation to these two since an economy and the stock market could be affected but Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are different. Going to the topic, I don't even think that the President and the first lady would be a cause of a dump as there are a lot of things that happened and I know for sure that this is just coincidence.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: October 10, 2020, 05:20:53 AM
A lot of things in the financial world look like Ponzi, but that doesn't mean they are.

So true.

The OP didn't even provide evidence or an argument to support his claim that Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme. Unless you know what really Bitcoin is, or cryptocurrencies, I guess you can't really say that it is a scam or a Ponzi scheme. If that is the case, I don't think people like me would be here for a long time, some even told me that they didn't invest any money from this.
604  Economy / Economics / Re: One of the biggest problem Now with currencies on: October 10, 2020, 02:33:12 AM
Already country currencies have gone without any exchange value. This is all because of the improper economic plan and the lack of proper execution of economic policies. Countries like Zimbabwe Venezuela already into the same trouble. Expert suggested adopting Bitcoin as the the legal currency for this countries. No no government is ready to do it. Maybe in future some countries love will officially consider it.

Is there a statement of any government about this?

I mean, Bitcoin could be a good solution but I doubt that the government would be part of that plan or solution. Another thing is that I don't even think that they are even thinking of Bitcoin as a solution to this.
605  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 10, 2020, 12:39:42 AM
This is the reason we should really do what we can right now to prevent this virus.

Small things could lead to greater things. The government is not focussing on minimizing the casualties, people are not taking care of themselves and think that masks are nothing. We should work together to stop this pandemic, I don't know how to do it but if we will be waiting for a vaccine without doing anything, it will just be nothing.
Talking about the vaccine i think the world will be able to make a decent vaccine next year, it might not be effective 100% but i know that the vaccines that is in trial phase now will be a decent vaccine next year, lets just cooperate to the government by following the rules and we'll get out of this together

I just hope that vaccine is better.

There are a lot of doubts about the vaccine that is being made right now since there are countries that can't stop the contamination of the virus with a lot of cases, not that great way of supervising the people and also for those hard-headed people. There are a lot of people like that, in fact, there are these people that is said to escape quarantines even if they are a close contact of a carrier.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people keep playing unlicensed, illegal slot machines? on: October 09, 2020, 09:57:17 AM
Gambling addiction is like any other addiction. It will make you do irrational things. They fool themselves into thinking that they've found the perfect method that will make them millionaires and there is no convincing them otherwise. When you lose sight of reality you're not going to bother looking into the provable fairness of a game and other important details like that.

I agree that some don't bother either machines are licensed or not.

But I disagree that most of them are convinced that gambling would make them millionaires or rich. Some of them just wanted to fool around and lay waste their money on these machines. They want to have fun and I don't think they would be asking whether these machines are licensed since they would just play and go.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A case of the pandemic changing the score and affecting sports betting on: October 09, 2020, 09:28:46 AM
While its certain that the pandemic has affected certain teams in sports, there are proven solutions that could work to boost a players morale to play despite the pandemic.
We can see, virtual audience is effective for players to gain energy especially with a digital world. Its more easy to connect with many people in social media platforms.

Well, it is a solution also for the league to gain people from watching the game. Another thing is that it is still different with a live audience or fans in an arena or a stadium. It is fun to see NBA games with homecourt advantages as they said it, it could also changes games and I think we will not be seeing a Miami Heat vs. LA Lakers finals if the series is not in the bubble.

But those actual games is better than we have right now.

You can hear the roaring crowd that would fuel the players and could show or give more great plays for their fans. They are still doing that but I see them more outside the bubble. The funny interactions of the players, their fans and some celebrities that are watching the game. Still, I am thankful that the games continued as it also help other people cope being in their houses for a long time.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof of pure luck on: October 09, 2020, 08:49:13 AM
Reading this hit me with a realization.

As long as we are gambling online, either slot, roulette or dice, we can't achieve that randomness that we all wanted unless we actually use a natural dice, roulette, I don't know about slots though. Then if you win, a casino could make an exit scam and won't pay the winners or even sometimes freeze the account, provable fair my $$$.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 09, 2020, 07:15:35 AM
No Bam? Bet on Miami ML, that's what I read in some of the NBA forum in other sites.
It doesn't matter if Bam will play or not, that's what they believe because the last time Bam was out, Heat got a good win, I think that was by 11 points.

No one in their right mind bets against lebron in a closeout game.  On top of that in the mamba uniform.  Lebron is a lock for a triple double and 3-4 blocks on top of that.  When lebron is motivated, nobody can stop him.

Only the refs, just kidding..

Yeah you are right, it's a close out game for the Lakers, and they have been playing in the same court throughout so there's no other factor that could intimidate the Lakers here, they will certainly make sure to win and probably will not give the heat a chance for a close scoring game.

I feel bad for Goran not being able to play this next game.

We all know LA wanted to finish the series and he's been there in the sideline for most of the games now. He's been the lead scorer of the team and without him Butler's been doing double to make the team work. Most of them can still shoot threes but still, Dragic being there is something different, Lebron might close this game so he could start the biggest ass-whooping of the year, as other people said it.
610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This will help day traders and newbie traders. on: October 09, 2020, 04:18:42 AM
Trading is always a risk as things can moves too fast and most of the time traders play here like a betting so don't move that way or else it will create up major problem, so we need to be so very careful.

Since we invested on it, we are already facing risks.

Instead of being careful, we need to reduce that risks so that we could maximize the profit we are getting. Instead of seeing that as a problem, we take that as opportunities, if the price fell, we reinvest, if we can't invest we keep on holding. If the price increases, we could sell, keep on holding or maybe trade it to other cryptocurrencies.
611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which is a good option?? Trade or Hodl on: October 09, 2020, 02:42:16 AM
I prefer trading especially when there's a great variety of different platforms.

This depends on that individual though.

If you already know how harsh the movement in the market is, then people would tend to adapt and make opportunities out of it, there are others that is still new and I suggest or recommend them to HODL while they learn things or as they hold it.
612  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What I think will be the top cryptocurrencies in 2021 on: October 08, 2020, 10:05:59 AM
I only know 3 of them.

The cryptocurrencies I am holding are not that great but I am confident that they could increase more in the next months or maybe the next years. Obviously, it starts with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, Dogecoin, and other cryptos in between.
It is actually better to hold unknown potential coins than already established coins because the chances of a bearish market are high no doubt but the chances of a bull (positive) run are also high on such coins. These unknown coins can bloom just like how the yearn finance did recently and actually the growth of these coins is just humongous in short period of time. There are times when the growth of some coins is abysmal and you will have 80-90% of the coins like that every now and then you might end of investing in a potential coin and you will be rich in no time just like yearn finance like I mentioned investors did.

Established coins are good but the growth is never going to happen at the same rate or even close to some of these small unknown potential coins.

That is true, and I agree with that.

The reason I said that "the cryptocurrencies I am holding are not that great" is because I am also investing in some cryptocurrencies I think would flourish in the next years. The OP posted cryptocurrencies I didn't know but that doesn't mean that I am not also risking some of my investments into unknown or not that popular cryptocurrencies.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: October 08, 2020, 09:00:07 AM
I think this will be the case for most people.

Most of them do not know what Bitcoin is, some of them know what it is but they don't use it because they think it is a scam, they don't know how to use it, and don't want any part of it. But there are some that also use Bitcoin but they are limited to where we use it, some just hold it and don't use it for them to earn profit in the near future. I could say that it is not for all of us, not all of the people would be interested in it.
614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: October 08, 2020, 07:37:36 AM
This is the reason why there is a lot of stupid people thinking that it is a Ponzi because there are those saying that it is.

I don't know how can you say that it is a scam even if it isn't one. Someone pushes you to invest in it so you will be under them and while you earn, they will earn too? You could earn profits here but it will not always be the same for everyone. We are investing here, if you say this is a scam then I think you are also saying that the stock market is a scam too.
615  Economy / Economics / Re: People lose Faith and Hope for banking and tradional markets on: October 08, 2020, 05:27:06 AM
How could they lose their faith?

The stock market is still going and if people lost their faith in those, I don't think we should be seeing Bitcoin at $10K. People are still investing in stocks, they are even taking advantage of it since the values of some are falling because of the pandemic. Online transactions on banks are mulitplying, your speculations are wrong.

617  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 08, 2020, 04:03:13 AM
My story is that me and my family are hungry because I don't have a job now because the company I work has closed but I'm very thankful to the person who teach me how to make money in bitcoin

Don't be that dependent on Bitcoin my friend.

I know that you really needed this but I hope that you could find other sources of income since Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as well are volatile and they can be unreliable sometimes with the sudden changes. I am not saying that you should stop investing on Bitcoin and other cryptos, I am saying that it is not a reliable source of income.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kaiji: Anime to learn about the stakes in Gambling on: October 08, 2020, 12:52:28 AM
Only Kakegurui is the only gambling anime I have heard of and the best one for me as of now. This is the first time I heard Kaiji but will start to read it later. I am also curious about the story especially that it is related to gambling, hopefully, that the story is good enough to not make me bored.

So true.

Reading the synopsis, it is said that he has this problem caused by his friend tricking him. He can't pay the debt and then he is offered to join in this underground gambling in a cruise ship. I think this just show a desperation to this MC to join. I guess that also tells us something more about desperate gamblers but not actually addicted gamblers like Kakegurui. It is an old anime but it is something new.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you prefer? Live casino games or slots? on: October 07, 2020, 02:37:51 PM
obviously I am not very good at those games so for the most part I end up being wrong but I do not mind since my aim is not to become a professional gambler or anything like that and I just want to get some fun while I am gambling.
Well, I think it's good, gambling is just for fun, if we lose money then don't be too disappointed, playing casinos and slots is just for entertainment, of course the luck factor is the key.

That is why I prefer some live casino games.

Most of those games are luck-based and even though luck is somehow needed, it is usually luck. I think I will prefer slots if I am just entertaining myself or maybe if I feel like it.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kaiji: Anime to learn about the stakes in Gambling on: October 07, 2020, 10:15:29 AM
I think this has a great story.

This site is what I always visit when someone suggests me an Anime. It has a high score and there is even a YouTube video talking about this anime being the best gambling anime out there. I might watch this but I still think Kakegurui and No Game No Life is one of the best animes so far related to betting or gambling.
