601  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crash on: December 19, 2017, 10:33:20 PM
Has the Bitcoin crash just started?
I would not call it a crash if I were you. Crash is a bearish run wherein price of btc has tanked into unimaginable levels now. For now, I would call what happened a correction since price has only gone down by 7%. It is a slight dip on price just like what happened today. Although that is the case, it can be a sign that a dump is soon to happen if this current price decrease continues that is. A dump refers to bigger price decrease but not to the extent that the price ain't imaginable.
602  Economy / Speculation / Re: I don't know when, but I have a fairly idea what could cause the bubble to burst on: December 18, 2017, 11:49:51 AM
Bittrex - the site is absolutely awful to use at the moment with ghost offers, incorrect offers, being unable to cancel offers, getting notifications for filled offers when they haven't filled. And that's just some of the bugs I've encountered, every time the volume shoots up the exchange is barely usable and on occasion not even accessible. I have a strong feeling that we are in a bubble, or the beginning stages of a bubble and Bittrex going down, which it seems like it inevitably will given that volume is only increasing. This could spark the sell off that leads to the mass panic and the bursting of that bubble.

In my haste it appears I missed the word 'good' from the title of the topic. My bad. Don't judge me (at least not for that, feel free to on this theory)
I guess it is still a good theory as it is not that far from reality. In fact, a major exchange hack is what caused market to go down in the past and that same scenario can happen again. Besides it though, there are a lot of other theories that other can formulate revolving around the bitcoin bubble burst but the question is which one will happen? For now I think your theory is the one closest to reality. Still, the chance that the bad news that will make BTC go down is something unexpected is also high.
603  Economy / Speculation / Re: WILL BITCOIN HIT 24K AS BITCOIN IS LISTING ON CME EXCHANGE TOMORROW 17TH DEC ? on: December 17, 2017, 06:35:53 AM
WHATS YOUR OPINION WILL BTC WILL HIT 24K MARK AS BTC IS LISTING ON Chicago Mercantile Exchange TOMORROW ?
Probably it wont reach the 24k$ mark even if it is listed on Chicago Mercantile Exchange soon, it is too soon IMO for it to reach the speculated price now or tomorrow. Even if that is the case, I am sure that it will reach the speculated price someday as adoption rate increases. BTC being listed on another exchange doesn't really boost it's price much unless there are registered whales there planning to invest into bitcoins using Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
604  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30,000 for the brilliant end of 2017? on: December 16, 2017, 11:50:47 PM
Hello ppl, what do you think, we will pass the threshold of 30,000?
I think it is still too soon for bitcoin to go pass your speculated price by the end of this year. I think it is achievable by next year or the next coming years. If it really did reach that this year, then I am sure the next following year btc would run a bearish trend and will tank for a while. Always remember that bitcoin is not always going up and for this reason,I think that by the end of the year it will be sitting at a price not far from it's current price today.
605  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ideas on value in 2018 on: December 15, 2017, 11:04:02 PM
One million and a half? How did you calculate it?
Bitcoin price rose about 20 times in 2017. Even if it happens again the price at the end of 2018 will be about 350k.
That if it rises again but what if the next year will be filled with bearish run? Then if it is then it won't reach any of the speculated price. IMO price is manipulated now as is and dump is very likely to happen soon. Still, the possibility of a pump is always there although I wouldn't say bitcoin would not go X20 again. It is too insane for it to continue rising tremendously and I am sure if ever your prediction happens, a great dump is bound to happen afterwards.
606  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin correction on: December 14, 2017, 10:09:08 PM
With all the money flowing in from blind investors and all these sudden massive increase in only a few days, are some a few scared it will crash?

I'm not saying go to 1,000$ but crash back to 10k?

And I know no one can predict anything... I'm simply asking for opinions...
The massive increase in the price happened last week, and with it, the correction. We went close to 19k and then last weekend the price went down to 13k-14k (that's $5000 difference).
We won't see 10k again unless a big crash happens (a 40% decrease in the price), which is very unlikely. I'd say the new floor is around the 16k mark (the price has been pretty stable at that price since monday) so from now on we can only expect to see the price going up/down with the usual fluctuation.
But worst case sceneraio, it goes down to 10k...so? that would be the perfect time to buy cheap coins before it jumps back to normal.
16k$ mark is not the floor price yet. I am sure that at some point it will go down lower than that price. 10k$ also is not the worst case scenario. I think the worst case scenario is that bitcoin will fall back to 6000$ but it is very unlikely to happen this year. I am sure though that like you said, if it evrf happens it would be the perfect opportunity to buy cheap btc before jumping back to normal. For now let's just wait for the end of the year maybe I am wrong and it is possible that price will go down before this year ends.
607  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin scales another fresh peak, likely to hit $20,000-mark soon on: December 13, 2017, 10:58:29 PM
I think that at this point it is very possible after all bitcoin showed immense price movements in the past few months. If it will continue as is, the speculated price is reachable before this year ends. I will also not be surprised when bitcoin went from it's current price down to 6000$-8000$ price range because it is continuously rising in this past few days. For now the best move is to do what we think is best depending on what we want or what we need since price is too unpredictable ATM.
608  Economy / Economics / Re: STOP #HODL go #INWEST on: December 11, 2017, 09:53:57 AM
Buying and holding bitcoin is not that bad, not everyone is capable of investing because theyll be in a need of a huge amount of money before they could invest. Do you think that people will just hold bitcoin if they have an enough money to invest? I don't think so! There are people who prefer to wait for the bitcoins value to go down before they invest because they think that it is a smart move.
You are right but I don't agree with the part of holding bitcoin being not bad for it. Why would it be good for bitcoin if it will be the cause of it being used merely for speculation? What OP is referring to here is to invest in bitcoin without the intention of only holding it waiting for price to come up because of no one is gonna use it, then it would be better off to call it a "bubble" since many are just buying and holding it without the interest of using it at all even a little, they just want to hodl and sell at a high price.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS is the Next BIG THING! 102 DAYS TO TRUE MOON COUNTDOWN on: December 10, 2017, 08:01:35 AM
Leave the tech aside
Lets compare the charts between Stratis now   vs   ETH 2016- March 2017

lol totally look alike...
Now stratis in the same position of ETH in March this year.

Lets go further :

First ETH run took 12 days

Next big run took 54 days since first run :

True Moon run took 36 days since 2nd run :

FULL RUN = 102 DAYS TO TRUE MOON.
Calculated Stratis True moon = 195 USD in MARCH 22 2018
It's possible but who knows. Personally I think that it was too much IMO but seeing how ethereum had gone up to that price range, then I think it is possible. Even so, there are many contenders that are likely to also be future ethereum so I think it ain't gonna be like that yet. Waves and other contenders like NEO are most likely be the ones who will compete with Stratis. There is also other possible altcoins that might steal the attention of market from it. For now let's watch the news about crypto, it will tell if this prediction will come true or not.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Monero, Zcash and Dash they all claims to be safe, secured and untraceable? on: December 10, 2017, 06:51:23 AM
Is monero, zcash and dash all of them using a private blockchain?

because based on my research monero is using a private blockchain to protect your privacy and make the transaction untraceable that is why monero is so popular i

in the darknet world right?

But zcash is jclaiming the same thing to make transaction with privacy and untraceable also but they are using a public blockchain how can that be possible?

Thanks in advance Smiley
Well I think Monero is the best coin out there for anonymity but I don't know about zcash. It doesn't offer that much of anonymity when compared with monero. On the other hand, Dash is good too but it ain't the best coin to use to give yourself anonymity on every transactions. As far as I know most of those cryptos offering anonymity like monero and dash does it the same but only differs in speed and traceability. There are also a lot of coins out there offering the same feature as them although they are new or is still in ICO stage.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think any other coin will take Bitcoin place someday? on: December 10, 2017, 05:53:32 AM
I don't think any altcoin is capable of take place of bitcoin.Bitcoin has reached to a new level that can't be touched easily. And in future I didn't have noticed any coin that has potential like bitcoin.Though Ethereum and Lite coin are try to progress in recent days. But to touch bitcoins level that's a long way to go.Bitcoin is the number 1 crytpo in the world.Millions of people are investing on bitcoin and making it bigger than ever.Bitcoin price is so high than any other crypto. So I think it's really impossible for other coin to touch bitcoins glory.
That is true but don't day that in the future, no coin can take over bitcoin's place. Unless bitcoin improves, sooner or later people would start using other altcoins that are more efficient to use when compared to bitcoin. Btc itself needs improvement on it's transaction speed or else another coin will take over it when a better coin to use in micropayment appears. For now I'll say that no altcoin that exist today can take over it.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happens to alternative cryptocurrencies IF Bitcoin "Bubble" breaks?(assume) on: December 10, 2017, 04:45:49 AM
hello,
If the financial bubble (assume) Bitcoin breaks down, whether the price of alternative cryptocurrencies like ETH, Ripple, LTC, etc. may be going up?
what do you think about it? here, I m not saying Bitcoin bubble as "Cryptocurrencies" Bubble,
Probably they will fall down in price too like bitcoin. It will because most of them base their price on bitcoin. ETH might not follow the same trend because it already have an established market in USD making it unaffected if ever bitcoin bubble breaks if it really is a bubble. However, they might also not fall down of ever btc goes down in price after all bitcoin and altcoins are cryptocurrencies that are not that related with each other.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Beginner: what are the best coins to invest in both long-term & short-term? on: December 09, 2017, 10:35:07 AM
Hey everyone, I'm new here and I've just embarked on another journey of mine - learning about cryptocoins and wanting to invest in them.
I would also appreciate some tips on where to start looking on the topic of wanting to learn more about these coins and how to become educated on them as well, but for now, I am focusing on raking in some short-term investments and looking what would be beneficial in the long-term.
Don't believe what anyone says here OP most of them are just talking about their own portfolio is being good and profitable but some are good ones IMO. Still you must judge them yourself with our help I will just give you two tips in order to determine their potential for growth. The first tip is to look on the dev team's activity and whether or not they are constantly updating or not. If they are, then it is sure to be a profitable coin. Also, look for their roadmap and concept. Team's activeness alone ain't enough to determine potential of a coin, you must also consider their roadmap and concept. Using these two tips, judge what is good or bad by yourself.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: O.5 BTC... What do you think about this portfolio? on: December 08, 2017, 10:37:02 PM
i have now O.5 BTC for Invest.
What do you think about this portfolio?

20% iota
20% waves
20% lisk
20% Elix
20% i don't now - any ideas?

Best Smiley
Keep the 20% to btc to secure profits with it. Bitcoin has been the most profitable coin in the past few years and it will be profitable just to hodl bitcoin for a few years. I think your portfolio is good except elix. You should change it into omisego if you have the chance. It will be one the most profitable coin to hodl in the next year to come. You can also try to invest into encryptotel it is undervalued ATM but I am sure it will be profitable to hold it because team is active and is continuously releasing updates.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash will be listed on Coinbase on: December 08, 2017, 11:00:09 AM
Coinbase will be distributing BCH to its traders on January 1st. At the time of distribution, it may also list BCH. The infrastructure it created for S2X has been reworked for BCH. If Charlie Lee cannot stop it, BCH will be the next coin listed on Coinbase. Thoughts?
I think Charlie Lee won't stop it anymore and I am sure that if bch got listed on coinbase, we will surely see a dip after it. It won't be that much but it will be significant for those who will want to rebuy some bitcoin cash. For now I wonder if BCH would get listed on coinbase, would it permanently usurp the number two spot from ETH? Well it would be a fun action to watch.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Convert to ETH on: December 08, 2017, 09:11:46 AM
Looking at the average prices on the exchanges, i decided to swap my BTC to ETH...
To me it looks like we are in for a dip in BTC, and im not sure what will happen over the next days.

Is anyone deciding to keep BTC for now after this massive increase?
If you hold ETH it is better to just hold it for now. Luckily, I have sold all my ETH before this and am planning to hold some ETH again now since it seems to be a wiser move to just hold it amidst of the confusion. I might also consider holding btc and divide my portfolio more. In your case, I think the wisest move is to hold specially if you are in a loss. If you aren't I will leave it up to you to sell now or not but IMO the best move to do in times of correction is hodl.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prepare for the Altcoin MEGA BULL gentlemen on: December 08, 2017, 05:26:01 AM
i hope this bull run happens as 80% of my portfolio is alts
still cant decide whether i should have just put all my money in bitcoin when i started 3 months ago or had this alt-heavy portfolio, btc seems to have done better over the same time period
Trust that the bull run will happen. Although that is the case, I must say that you have bought alts way too early. You should have had waited until this point before buying some alts to store. Still, I am sure you would be quite happy when the prediction of OP  comes true. In fact, I think it might happen sooner than the date OP predicted it. We cannot know for sure because there is no one that could really predict btc and alts price accurately.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any ICOs bounties that are paying in Bitcoin or ethereum ? on: December 07, 2017, 11:40:01 PM
is there any ICO bounties that are paying in Bitcoin or ethereum ?

i hope i can Find some answers From you guys,

I think for now there ain't any bounties that pays in ethereum but there are many who pays bitcoin as bounty. You just need to go into marketplace(services) section and you will find a lot of campaigns that pays via btc may it be an ICO or not. They are just more picky with participants though and it is hard to join one because many users seek to join signature campaigns paying in btc. If you want ethereum, the fastest way is to just regularly join bounties paying in erc20 tokens. That being said, I hope that bounties would start paying ethereum now.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whaat are you doing with your litecoins? on: December 07, 2017, 10:14:52 PM
Wouldn't it be better to wait for an upward going trend before buying again?
No it ain't better. It is best if one will buy now that the litecoin market price is losing value because when the time comes when it has gone up for an upward trend, one will surely profit by that time and it will also be easier to secure profits that way. It also won't be profitable if one were to buy during an upward trend because no one can now how much will the all time high for that rally will be and might result into losses if one bought at the all time high of the bullrun.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can 0.01eth deposit tokens on ether delta, sell and withdraw??? on: December 07, 2017, 02:55:18 PM
Please I need your suggestions, can 0.01eth deposit tokens on ether delta, sell and withdraw?

0.01 ETH is plenty enough to deposit tokens on etherdelta, sell and withdraw. You can even repeat the process 2X more because a single process would cost you at least 0.004 ETH for successful transactions. 0.002 ETH for deposit fee, and 0.002 for withdraw. Sell fee is taken from the balance you have on etherdelta so it won't be handled by your wallet but it will be deducted on the tokens you plan to sell. Either way, I think it ain't a good time to sell erc20 tokens now.
