601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Proof of Scam ? on: April 13, 2024, 12:19:40 PM
White paper does not mention halving !
White paper of Bitcoin was written to introduce this p2p payment system and that's why the halving was not mentioned in it. OP, if you're part of Bitcoin community then you might know that Bitcoin has gone through some changes overtime like introduction of Segwit addresses in 2017 to the source code. Satoshi Nakamoto hasn't introduced that address but it was introduced by other developers and Bitcoin community supported it.

Similarly the halving event was not mentioned in Bitcoin whitepaper but it was already part of Bitcoin source coin from the start and overtime people learnt about it and community supported it. It's the halving event that has allowed Bitcoin to gain value overtime and I don't think anything is wrong in not mentioning it in the white paper. I think it wasn't even needed to mention it in white paper and that's why Satoshi avoided mentioning it.
602  Economy / Economics / Re: Better Money: Gold, Fiat, Or Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2024, 12:08:06 PM
Bitcoin and gold are more likely purchased as assets then money, only fiat could be called money and is a good way to exchange goods. In ancient times Gold, Silvers and other precious metal were used for trading of goods but now people purchase them and hold them as assets rather than something that could be used to trade for goods.

Bitcoin was developed as a p2p electronic cash system that people can use to trade goods against it but it was engineered in a way that it slowly started getting scarce with just 21 million total supply with no printing/minting mechanism. Because of that nature of Bitcoin, investors got interested in it and hold it so it can grow in value. Now a days it's more likely used as an asset then as a p2p payment system.

Only fiat remains that could be used for trading of goods but as we all know that fiat isn't a full-proof system either because it's in control of governments and banks that could literally prints so many of it without any hesitation and that leads to drop of value overtime. However, fiat is still the easiest way to trade goods, however one day it might also get replaced by CBDCs or something similar.
603  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kulboi123 is a Scammer - BEWARE on: April 13, 2024, 11:38:05 AM
I feel bad for you OP but you should be careful next time. As yahoo62278 has suggested that you could have use an escrow that would save you from being scammed.

I believe escrow services of the reputed members of the forum is necessary and anyone who doesn't escrow, always risk their money.

You're not the only one who got scammed by such scammers. Anyone who isn't aware about such hacks often get scammed by such scammers.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Illegal Books on: April 13, 2024, 07:52:56 AM
I have never used an Illegal sportsbook so I don't have much information about those but as far as I can understand then using of anything that's illegal should be avoided. If I understand it better then illegal sportsbooks are maintained by incompetent, corrupt, and fraud people who can't be trusted.

They can run away with ones money and no one will be able to take action against them. That's why I think it's much better to avoid those illegal sportsbook platforms and go with the ones that are provided by trusted sportsbook providers.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making bets with my stupid friend on: April 12, 2024, 10:37:49 PM
I think I have seen a similar nature thread a few weeks ago and now seeing it once again. I have never made such bets with my friends personally but it could be a quite fun way for many people. Especially for the ones who are students without job or earning. The winner can enjoy the food/drinks/other items which loser gives him as a treat.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 12, 2024, 10:32:36 PM
Yes, for few people gambling is actually a type of hobby, but a hobby might not cause addiction while gambling could be highly addictive if someone spends more time gambling. If someone spends sometime with gambling and enjoy that time then it could be a good hobby. One should never consider gambling as a way to make money then it could be a good hobby to spend some fun time.
607  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] Best Crypto Investment Opportunities for Passive Income -2024 on: April 12, 2024, 10:25:11 PM
These are actually some good crypto investment opportunities that allow one to earn passive income. I believe out of those Jambler and Binance are the best ones.

I have been using Binance personally and I can say that it's a quite good exchange for the ones who want to earn passive income.

I think the best level of passive income may come when sometimes stake's the coins in their own personal wallets instead of custodial wallets.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: April 10, 2024, 07:54:08 PM
It's not a good strategy at all because with this strategy most gamblers will end up losing everything. It can be a good strategy for lucky gamblers but the ones who aren't lucky may not get good results by following this strategy.
609  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nextslot.bet - Random Slot Picker on: April 10, 2024, 07:49:25 PM
It seems like a good idea to me, and I believe it's something unique for the slot players. It's the only platform that randomly picks a game from various providers and that's something which some players love to have. I hope you'll make this platform better overtime.
610  Economy / Gambling / Re: [SOLVED] Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: April 09, 2024, 07:24:35 PM
They haven't sent the money of the victims but always came with promises that they will send all the money of the victims who have deposited on their platform. Such a mess they have done to the gambling community, and if they keep making such promises while taking no serious action then I doubt that they will never be able to make a comeback.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: April 09, 2024, 01:22:25 PM
I have never achieved anything that I could be proud off from gambling. I only consider gambling a fun activity and all I achieved from gambling is the entertainment only. I'm not someone with a very good luck especially when it comes to gambling but I really enjoy the gambling session and that's more than enough for me.
612  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] 1miau BBCode table formatting discussion service on: April 09, 2024, 09:13:52 AM

613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Story of my life on: April 09, 2024, 06:18:29 AM
The more active I become with gambling, the more it drags me back, luckily I keep risking only what I want to lose.
If I'm not wrong then you're trying to say the more you gamble the more losses you have. I think I agree with you in that because I also used to face more losses when I tried placing many bets per day in initial days of my gambling.

The less active I become with gambling, the more positive it gets for me, not most of the time but my results are simply better than when I was very active.
I think once again I agree with you. When I reduced the number of bets that a place, I noticed some wins instead of losses. I used to bet on casino games in beginning but later found that my luck doesn't favors me in casino games and that's why I started sports-betting, but even with sports-betting, I place less than 1-2 bets per week, sometimes less than 1-2 bets per month and so far results have been positive for me.

It's like the casinos are wired to mess with the most active gamblers. I don't know, so far I can only find someone who has seen such before.
Nope, casinos aren't wired that way, in fact in any type gaming the more one gets into it the worse they get in that one. I know there are some skill base games that don't fall into category of the games that I tried to mention but all of the luck type of games even the free ones work similarly. Even trading works in that way, the more trades a trader does per day, the more losses they can face.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino gambling is more of profit chasers while land base is more of fun on: April 09, 2024, 05:32:47 AM
~Snip~
most of the planet is inhabited by regular people who live of their monthly salary, it is not a surprise online casinos have managed to accumulate such a big success through the years.
Yes, I think you're very right, the players who have millions to spend per night on gambling would enjoy some beautiful vacations to most luxurious resorts of the worlds where casinos are present. If I'm not wrong, such gamblers enjoy to show others that what they got, and how fearlessly they could burn huge amounts without any worries.

I also agree that most gamblers who place bets on online casinos are either the ones dependent on their monthly salaries or they might have very few bucks that they could use to place some bets. Online casinos often get good amounts when greedy people with some good bankroll starts playing their games aggressively.

The greedy fellows or sometimes addicts don't care if they lose or not. When they lose they follow Martingale strategy and instead of recovering the losses or making any profits, they tend to lose even more and get their bankroll emptied by following that strategy.
615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking profits / being greedy. on: April 09, 2024, 05:25:48 AM
After reading most of the replies of OP, I found that OP has taken his/her initial investment and made some profits by holding that altcoins. My simple advice to OP is to sell half of their holdings and hold rest of the it for a few more months.

Holding an altcoin in bear market hasn't been a successful experience at all, and I hope that he/she may make some more profits when he/she sell the holdings during the peak of the bull run. The question is how could he/she determine when bull run is at its peak? A simple answer is no one knows that.
616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How far can BTC go before halving? on: April 09, 2024, 05:16:59 AM
I believe Bitcoin could get to around $77k before halving if interest of the investors continue. Most of the investment companies try their best to own as much Bitcoin as possible and for them $76k isn't a huge value for a coin.

Halving is still a few days away and we can already see some upward movements of Bitcoin and if same continues then we may see another ATH before the halving. I'm pretty sure that it's very possible to see Bitcoin at $74k or above before the halving even, and it could possibly touch $77k if interest gets intense.
617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful about some messages to your DM on: April 09, 2024, 05:09:23 AM
The user seems like a scammer to me because he sent that message on 1st April and that's April fools day. If anyone who received such message from that user and report him/her then he/she could easily say that it was just a joke to April fool of someone.

Anyone with common sense can understand that whatever that user said in that private message is totally wrong and can't be trusted at all. CryptoPotato is a reputed crypto news platform, and I'm pretty sure they will not even look at the articles of such users with so many grammatical errors.
618  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Unable to Send Bitcoin because there showing "Insufficient balance" on: April 09, 2024, 05:02:00 AM
I think you should not have to worry because other users have also faced similar issues with the blockchain.com wallet.

I suggest you to check the post of Zaguru12, and Charles-Tim, and then share that how it goes on. If that helps to solve your issue then it's great but if the issue persists then also share that with us.

Sometimes transactions don't get accepted when your wallet doesn't have sufficient fees to complete a transaction, and if that's the case then you may increase fees of your transaction to see if that works or not.

Most of the steps, and needed information is already given by the other members of the forum, and that's why we can online guide you more if you share that what happened after you followed those instructions.
619  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reference thread on Stakefast's newbie warning flag. on: April 09, 2024, 04:53:45 AM
I have also found that thread by Stakefast as a non-useful one, and I found it somewhat a type of advertising for his/her platform. It's not possible to recover your losses and make some wins in casinos but it doesn't actually work that way.

If someone has an external way to profit from crypto casinos by writing reviews for them or gain referrals then something like that may be possible but as a player it doesn't seems to be possible and if someone like that happens then most casinos will be out of business.

620  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges with low leverage settings on: April 07, 2024, 11:44:50 PM
Any trader that does not understand the reason I asked for this kind of feature may not know much about trading. Having low leverage as max can help to be a responsible trader. It can also help to avoid high risk martingale strategy. I wish not to go more than 2.5x leverage, but sometimes I will later increase it to 5x or 10x which may later not be good. Some traders are like me and they may prefer to see something like this on exchanges.
I totally agree with you and I fully understand that you're trying to achieve. I believe the only possible way to achieve such goal is a create an extension that you can control, and that function that of extension should be to adjust your leverage from 2x to 10x max.

That way you don't really have to rely on an exchange's features and you'll have complete control over your leverages. I think making of an extension isn't very difficult. It can be done easily and it can be very helpful. I think a tampermonkey script could also can also do that for you.
