601  Local / India / Re: Demonetisation effects on: February 24, 2017, 12:52:27 PM
As far as bitcoin is concerned, I have a feeling that demonetization has fuelled the bitcoin price in India.
No, definitely not. In fact current bitcoin price is growing because all over the world it is increasing. Currently world wide bitcoin price $1,167 to $1200.

Has it become safe heaven for hoarding black money?
AFA India concerned most bitcoin wallet or exchange has KYC procedure and they have disclaimer about they will share that information with Govt of India.  That does not mean one can not store black money in bitcoin.
602  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin Worth Is 1000000$ on: February 24, 2017, 10:33:07 AM
If we all would decide to not sell Bitcoin in exchanges for less than a million Bitcoin would worth 1 million.
My message is that if you want Bitcoin price to become one million don't sell it cheap at exchanges it worths much more...

First sentence could not be more incorrect.
* If nobody is selling bitcoin then who will buy them.
* If everyone start to sell bitcoin at $1Million then would not that be classic example of dump?
* bitcoin price reached barely ~$1200, already speculating about it reaching 1Million mark?  To quote Shakespeare
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy. "
- Hamlet (1.5.167-8), Hamlet to Horatio

* At this ATH there are signs of more volatility in bitcoin price than getting to the stability. Just check how much swing is there.
* Not to sound pessimist but be aware of 'pump and dump' situation. Right now pump is at peak, wait for dump.
603  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1100 broken, ATH incoming on: February 23, 2017, 01:40:38 PM
It's not that China isn't relevant anymore, they are just waiting out how the actions of the PBOC will play out because there is definitely more to come. Other than that, depending on what exchange you use as a benchmark for the ATH, it will be possible to see a new ATH within a month if the ETF turns out to be approved. It's less than $100 we need to eat through in order to set a new record price. It feels fantastic being a holder with Bitcoin having so much upwards potential. Grin

China was all smoke and mirrors, their volume was fake, they no longer control anything. Their hashing power is also a scam, there are a lot of different mining pools that are owned by the same idiots which btw continue to not signal for segwit.

China will sooner or later get deprecated, their ONLY strong point is that they get cheap eletricity. THAT IS LITERALLY ALL. All good coders, innovation, etc, is not chinese. China is only making us lag behind in bitcoin adoption by not signaling for segwit, that's all. They are useless.

Isn't that smoke and mirrors raised price so far, which is still high. BTW full picture will be clear once withdrawal sanctions gone. Then we could see whether there is any bear-trap or is it real bulls market this time.
604  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Will Spike Over 65% After Winkelvoss ETF on: February 23, 2017, 01:31:04 PM
65% Price rise due to ETF approval  will be nice example of play of FUD and nothing else.  There are multiple reasons for price rise, most of them have been explained in this thread as well. Bitcoin supply has halved and there is increasing demand of bitcoins. Whether ETF approval do wonders for bitcoin price is still in uncertain. What if big corporations find bitcoin not scalable for them and causing abandoning it. This would be major dent for bitcoin world. We all know current load on the blockchain and what would happen if big corps enter and try to raise the transactions? Will current infrastructure take it? Thus don't ride high on approval of ETF, it may backfire.
605  Local / India / Re: BitCoin in India on: February 23, 2017, 01:22:25 PM
I think zebpay is spreading faster than unocoin, at least around Mumbai area. And the mobile app really gives them an edge over other exchanges, as most people use only their mobiles to access internet services.
India is very big country but still bitcoin is not spreading as its need to be because right now just few exchange sites accepting this no shops or other vendors going this if its works like Philippine or Indonesia then its could be very helpful for this community

I agree with you. But I think as the awareness of the concept grows amongst common people,  more fin institutes would invest in exchange platforms.
Campaigns regarding the concept, especially targetting collages, will surely enhance the spread of digital currencies.

There have been campaigns to educate college students before.  Smiley
http://www.indiabitcoin.com/unocoin-educates-college-students-in-bangalore/

I am sure there must have been. But this has to be a continuous process, as youngsters' memory span is very short. New and exciting things keeps them wandering. Even a forum like this is perfect platform for creating awareness. I was vaguely aware of the concept of bitcoin from almost an year but I learnt most about crytocurrencies on this forum in last 2 weeks.

Spreading awareness about bitcoin in the youth of any country is very difficult. As of now 99.99% people using bitcoin consider it as commodity instead of currency. Everyone wants to purchase and hold the bitcoins for long term huge profit. Just like real-estate, gold. Given this situation why youngsters will develop their interest in a commodity which they can not use as currency? How many times have we seen youngsters taking interest in RE, stock etc? very less.  Next point is bitcoin price is not something they can afford.  These two biggest point nullifies attempt of developing awareness about bitcoin in youth.
606  Local / India / Re: Demonetisation effects on: February 23, 2017, 01:12:52 PM
The economy of the country is in dire staits due to direct impact of demonetisation of currency.
Most of the small scale industries are either shutdown or on the verge of shutting down. Unemployment has
increased tremendously. Long term effects can only be scary, at the most.
Demonatisation effect has long gone.where are you living?
Now everyone has new currency and their well using it.only black holder are doing unnecessary stunt and spreading invalid rumors.

Where are you living? On the moon? Get out of the comfort of ur house and check the reality outside, dear sir.
Most of the powerlooms in bhiwandi are closed for last two months. Lack of cash to pay daily wagers.
Maharashtra revenue department registered a loss of stamp fees estimated at 1800cr
Many mnc's and major production houses reported severe drop in sales eg Nestle India 1000cr
Most of the rural areas don't get regular peer supply. There are no cellular towers in most rural areas. Despite the massive financial breakdown
of most western (developed) countries from 2008 to 2011, India managed to survive only because of parallel cash economy. Now you have successfully killed it. Yet BRUTUS IS AN HONOURABLE MAN.

Your reply somehow justifies the black-money economy. It is true that during global economic slow down, India didn't get affected much because of cash-economy (black money).  Initial objective of demonetization was good however it is the implementation that failed miserably.  The mismanagement wrecked havoc in life of all parts of Indian society. Lower economical strata and Rural strata of society felt the impact hard.  Situation has improved a lot. Now there is less cash crunch to cover daily expenses of people. At the same time it is NOT enough to cover the daily expenses of business which hand out daily wages to the people.
On top of that banks are playing dirty tricks by levying charges on debit/credit cards. Now who the hell will move to card payments if you are paying tax for using your own money. This is daylight robbery.
Other excuses for demonetization like counterfeit currency has been debunked recently with neighboring countries have successfully created and circulated those notes.

* If security is utmost important and there is no plan to use those bitcoins then store them in offline wallet.
* If you don't require fiat currency currently then keep money in btc itself. You may reuse those btc in trading directly.
* If you think bitcoin price may drop then convert that profit in fiat for assurance.
* Many are holding bitcoins out of speculation that price may hike with ETF approval may happen.

611  Local / India / Re: State Bank of India Announces Financial Blockchain Consortium ‘Bankchain’ on: February 21, 2017, 05:23:24 PM
what if this so called "bankchain" started taking money as wd fee like blockchain does and don't you think Govt. intelligence services keeping an eye on all the transactions. Also its easy to put just once virus or find to some back door entry to grab everyone's money.
As far as wd fees are concerned then it is going to happen. Bank transactions will be monitored by Govt that is how bankchaing is being modified. In bankchain system anonymity might not be available. For bankchain that feature is not required or let's say it is less desirable. If putting virus in bankchain or backdoor was so easy then banks might not have thought about investing in blockchain. How many instances of virus attack damaging blockchain have been observed  so far? none. Has anyone reported backdoor in blockchain?  None. Blockchain is transparent network. If grabing everyone's money was so easy with one virus or backdoor then hackers/crackers might had already done that. Has it happened? no.  At maximum some accounts gets hacked which most of time fault of account holder and not bank security.

612  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is no longer a currency on: February 21, 2017, 05:11:30 PM
It is true that bitcoin was and is considered as commodity than currency. People are still treating it as any other commodity that is why everyone is just buying and holding them. Isn't is like gold, metal, oil?
Most of people know, understand that bitcoin is a currency however still treat it as commodity.
If you really want to see the power of bitcoin then try sending bitcoin to your friend in different country, see how quickly it happens. Compare it with existing establishment we have.

PS:in case if you don't have any friend you could send bitcoins to me as well. Smiley
613  Economy / Economics / Re: After Chinese exchange comeback ? on: February 21, 2017, 05:01:43 PM
Alright , we all know that the Chinese exchanges stopped withdrawals for users for one month or so for fighting money laundering If I understood right. If they ever comeback to work , what impact could they have over the price ? should we expect seeing a huge dump ? assuming that people have their funds on the exchange without being able to move them right now , wouldn't that create too much supply after they comeback ?
I think this topic is more suitable in 'Speculations' section of forum.  Coming to the point raised,  we could expect big fluctuation in bitcoin market. We don't know how people will react once sanctions  will be lifted. If everyone starts dumping then steep fall in price is there. If trade resumes as it was earlier then prices will surge again. Lesser chances of price surge though.
614  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: February 21, 2017, 04:56:28 PM
* Can we manipulate bitcoin price?
Yes, it is possible to manipulate bitcoin price. Not only bitcoin price but stock price, reality market, commodity price is also manipulative. Till now China was manipulating Bitcoin prices as there were no transaction charges and exchanges were manipulating volume.   If considerable number of people decides to manipulate then using few bots it is possible to achieve the task. start with smaller exchange/market. With that experience go ahead with big market.
Manipulation was happening, is happening and will continue to happen in bitcoin market. Period.
615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can I do with 0.6BTC? on: February 20, 2017, 04:56:36 PM
Some classic/common answers :
1. Bitcoin/altcoin trading (need experience)
2. Invest on casino's bankroll (need to find trusted casino)
3. Loan bitcoin to trusted people with interest rate (must careful when loan to people with unknown reputation)
Above three options require considerable initial investment (more than 5 to 10 btc). Otherwise returns will be next to nothing. With 0.6 BTC in hand consider above all options are out of window.
4. Invest to ponzi or HYIP (NOT RECOMMENDED)
5. Invest on real cloud mining or start bitcoin mining (not recommended as well because extreme competition)
6. Invest on new altcoin or altcoin IPO (need experience to find altcoin with good future)
You are right with ponzi/HYIP marked as non-recommended
Real cloud mining schemes are least profit returning options.
altcoin investment is next to gambling and altcoin IPO tends to scam most of time.

With 0.6 BTC in hand just hold them and try to purchase more with your comfort. Don't wast your time and BTC in investment at this moment. You should consider trading once you get minimum 2 to 3 BTC to see considerable profit instead of playing with petty profits.
616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is the best way to earn btc on: February 20, 2017, 04:47:14 PM
Hi Guys,
I just want to know which is the best way to earn BTC even it is small amount also no problem but iam looking for regular and longtime income.First of all let me expalin about my background. i tried to earn BTC in many ways, those are
1) Cloud mining: i have invested around 500$ in some cloud mining sites. in that some sites are still paying and some sites are scam.what ever the sites paying that amount is very less in daily basis.
after that
2)i have invested on some gambler sites around 100$ like playing betting, wheel game, lucky number games etc. its completely loss. not profit at all even i dint earned at least my investment
after that
3)Now i started some free bit coin earning sites. like faucet providing sites or satoshi  paying sites. this are paying very little amount.
after that
4) i invested 10$ in doubling and tripling websites here also i failed and that site was scammed me and they have took my 10$

5) finally some one has suggested for BTC trading and i have invested again 500$ for btc trading that time btc cost was 1000$. even though if i sale my btc i will get just 10 ro 20$ profit not more than that because last 90 days high rate of btc is around 1050$.

6)i cannot do BTC mining with physical setup because electricity is very costly.

Finally i am frustrating with Bitcoin earning ways.

Any one please suggest me is btc earning is not at all possible. or is there any way to earn good income with good investment. if that kind of sites available then please suggest me.
According to me the Below are the Best Ways to Earn Bitcoins Online:-
1) You can Offer your Services to Others Who want that Services in exchange of Bitcoins.
3) You can Join a Affiliate Network that pays in Bitcoin So that You can Earn Bitcoin Commissions.....

* There are very few sites that accept services with bitcoin.
* Affiliate Network programs sounds more like MLM aka scam  instead of legit business.

More importantly earning bitcoin in a legit way are less. It is better to get a job or if you have a business then earn profit and purchase bitcoins from  earnings.
* earning money from signature campaign is not easy and requires account of higher ranking.
* Trading will only be profitable if you have acute understanding of trading, how bitcoin market works, what influences it.
* Without proper understanding of market, trading is not profitable. Unless you have great luck.

Most people are treating bitcoin as commodity instead of currency. Once you understand this point, you'll see why earning bitcoins from any program is difficult.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/coinbank-launches-bitcoin-fixed-deposits-claims-to-offer-highest-interest

Quote
Coinbank is a wallet provided by Amaze Mining and Blockchain Research Limited. They are also the people behind GBMiners and are based out of New Delhi, India.

The statement, released by Amit Bhardwaj of Amaze Mining and Blockchain Research, says:

“We have two plans for three-month and six-month Fixed Deposits. On three months we are offering a one percent rate of interest and on a six-month deposit, we are offering 1.25 percent. This is the highest rate of interest offered on Bitcoin globally by anybody.”

If you like HashOcean, Gainbitcoin, and Amaze Mining and Blockchain Research, you're gonna love Coinbank, and IT'S SAFE!

This is ridiculous. Shouldn't sites like cointelegraph do some basic due diligence before publishing articles?
This one hasn't even been classified as promotional material.
Edit: It might be paid journalism/news  from gbminers/gainbitcoin .  What cointelegraph missed was picked up correctly by coinjournal.net[1] .  Many of articles found online are more like one side story without any investigation. Coinjournal.net  have also unwrapped scam nature of gainbitcoin run by promoter of gbminers and exposed that coinbank is rebranded version of opensource app [2]
