Thank you .What about Maieuticoin wallet configuration file? I have 10k conf file and 10k is working well ..But can't find any conf info for Maieuticoin rpcport and nodes .Thank you again.

MMXIV and BALLS are both mmxiv.conf, but you don't need one for them. Just load it up and it'll sync. Seednodes have been acting funny for 10k, it'll be fixed in the next update and you won't need a conf file at all for 10k either

Also, why send private keys through the mail (which CAN be intercepted and resent very easily) rather than through something secure like an HTTPS connection?

I am just thinking aloud here - Perhaps it is felt that the private key will exist un-encrypted on the recipients PC or can be stolen via man in the browser malware? In essence, the issue is how to securely exchange a key. Traditionally, key exchanges happen with key encrypting keys which most of the time are PKI public/private key pairs. The crypto private key could be sent by encrypting it with the receiver's public PGP key. It could become technical to setup for the average guy on the street, but I would assume if someone knows how to stake then they would know how to setup PGP. It is difficult to prove that it is the recipient that has the private key unless you have proven identity via face to face. However the same can be said about the physical address entered. This can be overcome by displaying a code at the time of purchase or downloading a text file at purchase time. The recipient then has to encrypt and sign the code/file and upload it back during the session. The seller verifies the code/file by checking the signature of the recipient using the recipient's public key. if it checks out the seller can download/email the crypto private key encrypted with the recipient's public key. The process has flaws but at least solves the issue of the risk of intercepting an emailed key or displaying the key online to be stolen via man in the browser.

Using a physical address on the other hand assists with "know your customer" for anti-money laundering rules.

PS: Seems like this scenario is playing out. Time will tell.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=942977.msg10404932#msg10404932

We have already explored options to do half of the private key online and half from the mail eventually. We are going to change it up, of course, this is only step one to test the system as a whole

I might reenter when price is stable.... Thank god I came out at .0008

If it was more three days ago you made less than you would have staking until now

If our package is intercepted, it will be useless as there will be no funds on the address until it is received and used. If it's resent, then someone is going through an awful lot of work stalking you to wait for an unmarked package and you should get the fuck out of my bushes

Cloud Staking Done Right
MMXIV, BALLS, and 10k can no longer be directly mined. The Proof of Work for these coins was very fair, successful, and well distributed. In an effort to further safeguard the blockchains and ensure faster, more secure transfers, all three have evolved into the Pure Proof of Stake coins we have now. Cloud Staking guarantees your coins will stake on the provided Private Key. Please create and secure multiple copies of this key

GorillaStake™ does things a little differently. When an order is submitted for enrollment in Cloud Staking, a Private Key is mailed via snail mail to the provided name and shipping address. This Private Key is now entered into one of our secluded staking centers and will provide you a reliable way to ensure your funds are staking, even when your computer is not on. Not only does this save you energy costs, but it also maximizes staking returns vs network inflation. Personal balance daily averages will always outweigh network inflation

Private Keys can not be recovered. If a private key is lost, we will not provide a second copy. If you do not receive it in the mail, it was an issue with an invalid shipping address. We do not use return addresses so they cannot be intercepted by identifying the envelope or package. Please ensure all information is accurate before submitting your order

I've opened sign ups for 10k
Will start staking by March 1st

Did anyone try to put wallet on some win smart phone?

I would imagine that getting quite hot. I am, however, looking for an experienced Android (java) developer for something

Android staking wallet would be HUGE. Bank and wallet in our pockets is key for spreading and wide adoption IMO.

It's not for mobile use that I'm looking for one. A simple wallet is easy to do for Android, but once you get into staking, it would burn the fuck out of your leg from getting too hot. I have much stronger hardware available to me that could easily run some interesting Android applications if we can find the right person for the job. We basically have three people on our team for everything relating to MMXIV, BALLS, 10k, staking hardware, and I'm doing GorillaStake myself. Unfortunately nobody has enough experience with java or android to produce something I would deem reliable, yet

You thinking about new Raspberry Pi 2 quad core units, right?

No, it's not a Pi at all, but we will still offer those when the shop opens up on GorillaStake

Using manpower/computer/hardware/electricity
to Complete a Task(Job) in order to get
a desired result Is being considering a
ponzi scheme??

If thats the case every lottery system could
be construed as a "ponzi scheme"
forbid if the game ever stops or becomes
unavailable to the public somehow the other
bag holders(non winners) lost money they
chose to gamble with knowing the odds
of not winning.

P2P360

Hence the term "Experiment".

Lottery is quite different as prizes are paid from entries. Stake is created and rewarded for processing transactions and securing the public ledger (blockchain), not paid from a pool of money. The lottery just passes the same dollars back and forth between gambling addicts

Mr legend must also think btc is a ponzi sceme aswell then. because miners are mining and selling to peeps for fiat. If btc buys dry up its game over. you sir just joined the whole crypto is a ponzi crowd in my book. good day to you and your rep. i have no time for missinformed ponzi shouters. peace

edit

Igotspots you are obviously doing sometging right as the naysayers and fudders have now entered the room. keep goin dude

You are totally right, miners produce every day BTC or whatever coins with their mining machines, they had to invest some money in that, we do the same here, we invested some money in coins to produce new coins, for me that is the same thing ! I don't see any difference Wink

The difference is here you don't have huge electricity bills and tons of useless computers sitting around

Wow a legendary member that cannot tell the difference between a ponzi and Pos coin. you do know that a ponzi filters money to the top yeah? and people have to keep buying in to pay members of the ponzi. 10k is nothing like this at all lmao.
what have you been doing with all the time it takes become a so called "legend" certainly not studying different types of proof of work/ stake etc.
im amazed

Wtf are you talking about ? lol

Get rich scheme.. .ponzi... there is little to no difference between the two. eg. If no one buys your PoW or PoS crypto fiat, the ponzi/scheme will die.

Btw, did anyone else notice the timestamp from block 1 ? It appears that someone gave themselves a 90 minute head start.

Yea it was me, to get a checkpoint in and make sure the server was working. It's what people who know what they are doing do

You are just proving you don't know what a ponzi is, or you are just trolling. Either way, not worth the time. It was more than fair. Fuck off

Give me one good reason why I should consider this to be any different than that mountain of craptsy sponsered shit sitting over there.

You ponzi pushers have no shame !

To say staking is a ponzi shows a clear lack of understanding what a ponzi actually is

Who collects funds? Who pays out interest? Nobody. The blockchain will not run out of coins, which is why all ponzis fail

Also, I wish I could get rid of this pool of human filth's avatar

Pardon the knee jerk reaction but all I'm seeing is yet another game of "musical bagholders".

It's fine, but as long as the price doesn't fall over 27% daily from the previous day, you're making money. Stable price means profit for holders. Nothing is shady and nothing is a secret. The stake weight speaks for itself at more than triple that of total supply

Hey iGotSpots,
I would like to know one thing on which I am still confused on staking thing, it's that if the network weight increases too high the way it is getting, I mean the increase in difficulty to stake, will it still give ~25-30% stake rewards per day? I am very much confused on this, so please explain this to me in a very meaningful manner, even if it would be a para to a letter-sized answer....

A high network weight is very good for the coin as it increases the security. As long as you keep staking and stake optimally you are fine irrespective of the network weight.

Repeat of an earlier post:

The difficulty adjustment is there to make sure that the POS rewards stay within the designed parameters. The designed rewards will be allocated based on certain things like the number of eligible coins, coinage and how optimal you stake (the last one is tricky). In the perfect theoretical world you will get your stake as advertised. However it is possible to do silly things with your coins to reduce your reward like keep moving your coins around, letting maxage expire, not making sure that as many as possible of your coins are eligible for staking, leaving your coins on an exchange and locking your wallet for staking - in some of these examples you get nothing. The more people stake, the higher the difficulty gets to make sure each wallet gets its rewards as per the design. The more people stake the safer the network gets as well - the network weight for 10K is exceptionally good.

This is a good summary. One point to make clear is that coinage also increases eventual stake reward. This means if your stakes start to become more seldom, they will be for higher amounts to compensate the longer time between mints

Personal stake will average out to 27%-ish daily (before compounding), over a year, regardless of any outside factors. It's not a system that will be accurate day to day
