Personal I would avoid using credit card.
The fees are much higher, and you will pay a higher price in your bitcoin.
It is much better if you can just make a wire transfer.

Luno supports online banking too.
6003  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where I should sell my mobile? on: December 15, 2019, 01:21:40 PM
Logic is simply,if you can afford new mobile then just throw away the old one.

I'll always sell my cellphone for extra cash especially if it's an iOS one.

A little extra effort is worth salvaging more resale value. Smiley

Thats great to hear. Next time, there's a Live Chat on the website if there are any issues.

6006  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is 777 a lucky number? on: December 15, 2019, 07:03:42 AM
1. Not yet, but recently my post hit 1337 which showed up as leet. Cheesy
2. Certain religions, particularly Christianity treat it as holy/ angelic. So yeah.

Like the above, post your Merit record there as a milestone.

Does your country have ecoATM which is a mobile recyling atm and you will get paid money instantly for your mobile based on its condition but it will not give the best price.

https://us.ecoatm.com/

I've seen videos of that, the prices are just like going to a pawn shop.
6008  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which online coin wallet support bank transfer on: December 15, 2019, 05:30:23 AM
Go for Remitano, quite popular in SEA.

High liquidity with support for bank transfers but taker (buyer) fees is at 1%, a tad steep.
6009  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: December 14, 2019, 10:50:01 AM

Hence I don’t understand the logic behind calling Freebitco a scam site week after week and these accusers only talk big, because when one asks for proof they’ll stop posting here and disappear from this thread.

Also it’s ironic that people purchased tickets to win the Lamborghini because they trusted Freebitco, and now that someone else has won it suddenly these same people are labelling Freebitco as a scam.

It'll always be a game of cat-and-mouse. Accusations, proofs shown, repeat the same cycle.

But hey, it gives free publicity.
6010  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Are you a citizen of the world? on: December 14, 2019, 05:54:16 AM
...

I agree with palle on one point though; inadequate freedom.

Unless you're traveling to places like North Korea, you still have to respect the local cultures, some to which might sound ridiculous.

For instance, the thumbs-up is considered giving the middle finger in some Middle East countries. In Japan, it's unethical to eat while walking.

Also if things go South, locals tend to receive better treatment than tourists/ foreigners.
6011  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The misused of merit on forum..... on: December 14, 2019, 05:25:58 AM
On the other hand, there are merit-worthy posts that went unnoticed so I guess that makes the world go round.

I cannot agree with you more. I always stalk other peoples previous post to see and study what are their posting behaviour and what specific board they are posting so that I can learn learn based on what they share in the community.

Based on my observation, those informational (or statistically backed) posts are what people like to see, hence meritable. Along with artworks or some user-generated contents.

Other than that, generally helpful or posts concerning some welfare do receive merits, albeit on a lesser scale.
6012  Other / Meta / Re: Feature Suggestion - Relax newbie's PM restrictions. on: December 14, 2019, 04:41:39 AM
How about restricting newbie PMs to like 3 a day?

Some forums have the Probationary period with limitations such as creating a max of 3 threads or posts a day.

6014  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am New In Bitcointalk how can i got Merit Explain Plz on: December 13, 2019, 03:57:25 PM

Merit can play a part in this, but so can your activity - the number of posts and the amount of time you've spent posting. I'd say in general someone with thousands of posts is likely to be more trustworthy than a random new account with very low activity... so I don't think merit is the main factor here.

True, but we're unable to view others' post count until we view the profile. Only the Merit is displayed hence we tend to look at those first.
6015  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Am I doing money laundering there? on: December 13, 2019, 01:32:39 PM
Money laundering doesn't necessarily involve theft. A large drug manufacturer might use a laundromat to process cash obtained from selling drugs as fake business via the laundromat, and thereby be able to deposit the illegal drug selling profits in to a legitimate business bank account without raising suspicion.

You're right, I almost forgot about the drugs part.
6016  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Get Google AdSense approved on your Crypto Blog on: December 13, 2019, 11:43:31 AM
I have faucet list a few years ago, and I have AdSense for a few months before they ban me. There is some content on site, and most of the traffic was from real users who claim from faucets. If they had practiced such a practice for years, at some point they decided to change the decision, regardless of the traffic and content that was on the page.

I do not know how, but some faucets still have AdSense today, maybe there are some tricks they know. One faucet owner is said to me that he will not have problems, as long as he uses only their ads.

Still, I'm interested in one thing, if one site is banned from using AdSense in the past, is there a possibility of re-approval?

There are those doing it without AdSense' consent (i.e. submit theirs as article sites but later added faucets) so Google has to automatically re-check them.

As a publisher myself, the rules are such that it's a strict no-no to associate AdSense with anything related to click frauds or any UX that goes against a user's wishes such as multiple popups.

For sites banned, chances to appeal or reapply are pretty much zero.
6017  Other / Off-topic / Re: BITCOIN HALVENING is taking place very soon! What are your expectations? on: December 13, 2019, 11:40:04 AM
I've seen some expectations from people around the community saying that the price might increase to $40k, $50k, $100k but it's hard for to me to believe in such predictions.

There have been "experts" claiming it to break 5 - 6 figures (50 grand) but so far BTC's price never came close to them.

So this halvening might just cause a short-term spike, after which prices will stabilize again.
6018  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A Chilean exchange is giving away money for Xmas on: December 13, 2019, 11:23:44 AM

The major problems with this type of exchange promotions is that KYC is involved and such personal data should be highly protected at this level of technology.
I will join if there is no KYC documents required.

No KYC is required, all it asks is just to follow its social media accounts and retweet/ repost.
6019  Other / Meta / Re: Long string as profile personal text looks weird on: December 13, 2019, 11:15:53 AM
Someone familiar with the forum interface can easily make it look better. All they need to do is to play with the text and put then where it looks better. I do not think the software has anything to do here.

It's related to the CSS styling, part of the SMF software.
6020  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | The Honest Online Casino | Daily Presents + $5000 Christmas Raffle on: December 13, 2019, 11:11:13 AM
I was only there like 10 minutes top though, thats why I was so surprised it was even possible to see a multiplier that high.    Who has the guts to expect that though, maybe thats why it happens because nobody is looking for it to occur so ironically its more probable and possible even then.   I thought I did good with the 4x lol,   I was just learning so no biggy.

There are autobetters setting their target to reach at least 4 or 5 figures, so if they want to earn 10 grand for example, they have to hope at least 1/ 10000 rounds goes up to that level.
