I don't think it will hit the 1000$ price tag soon. ETH has a potential undoubtedly but the market conditions will not let the prices to repeat the same actions near the old all time high price. No one can really predict when will things happen, as you say, not too soon but it can go that far or maybe can be much higher than that, ETH already forming some movement while bitcoin is trying jump high, the capability of ETH to move alongside of bitcoin always be possible, hold if you have already coins inside your wallet or buy more for this accumulation period. |

It seems to me that China will in no way give up mining. Since they stood at the origins of cryptocurrency and it all essentially began with. I do not think that they will give up their own money.
It says that they planning to end it on 2021 so I believe by now they are already planning and preparing for something better to replace what they have right now in mining. Using fake numbers won't work anyway since they will call your number and get verified. There is also a way that a gambler could still give his/her number. The idea of the cryptocurrency especially bitcoin shouldn't use banks but I think other idea of blockchain payment could be attached to banks for payment in relevant fiat or other means.

I can personally say that bitcoin is still on a experimental stage. We never know what will happen and bitcoin can really be on the history as the father of crypto but this cannot yet guarantee its success in the future
