6021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can i mine with a jalapeno? on: December 08, 2013, 07:04:06 PM
I'd say PPC is the next best coin to mine using asics and I might look into doing it in the spring/summer when my little single isn't worth mining BTC any longer. Any further insight would be much obliged.
6022  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-12-08] Bitcoin: China’s New Special Economic Zone on: December 08, 2013, 07:01:33 PM
Very enlightening article. I was not aware of the special economic zone program. That is a very forward thinking idea. Too bad America doesn't think this way.
Actually, Sen. Rand Paul was speaking at the Detroit Economic Club on Friday about doing this very same thing to revitalize Detroit via free market methods w/o the retarded and backward thinking bailouts from DC that just squander money. Google it

Love it!! Right in Rand Paul territory!
6024  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: problem's connecting to Slush? on: December 08, 2013, 01:08:18 AM
On slush mining right now and just received a payment an hour ago, not sure what your issue is. Undecided
6025  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Cheaper alternatives to Trezor. on: December 07, 2013, 11:26:36 PM
Where the fuck are these damn trezors anyway? They're starting to make BFL look reputable and even in that instance, I still got my miner sooner than I expected in the overall scheme of things. Moreso, these trezors were vouched for by industry hot shots.

Sniff, someone has a dirty diaper.
6027  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: purchased 1.08 btc from coinbase instantly, still pending on: December 07, 2013, 09:30:00 PM
I've been using coinbase for about 5 months and despite not having the instant thing hooked up, I've always had my coinage purchased and then received in the 4-5 day window. They are lacking on customer service tho but let's face it, they own most of the domestic game right now.
6028  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How long have you been mining & what is your current hash rate? (+ bonus Q's) on: December 06, 2013, 10:00:08 PM
Ordered a BFL LS back in June and eventually wrote it off as BTC related growing pains. But, it showed up ~3 weeks ago so I was pleasantly surprised and couldn't decide if I was just gonna sell it on ebay or mine. Ended up mining, joined Slush's pool and it's clocked up to ~33 Gh/s. Brings in about .025 daily. Undecided Of course, I had bought quite a bit of mining shares w folks on here and that's going pretty well. It is fun having the auto deposit every week despite knowing that had I kept all my coins I'd be better off in terms of overall coinage.

Also offering my support, George has been a great communicator and the payments have rolled in on time every time.

Just wanted to second this. George has been great! Although I am one of the smallest shareholders in the original 1-3 GB I always feel in the loop.
Yep, George is Top Shelf managing these things. Dividends are always paid on time, he's a great help and he knows his shit.
6030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People becoming aware of BTC on: November 26, 2013, 07:49:21 PM
I work at UM hospital in Ann Arbor and I discuss this with my coworkers everyday I'm there. It's usually only bits and pieces at a time since the work environment is fast paced but in the down time, I'm able to give a thorough thesis but it seems it may be a little over their heads. Some tend to think it's a stock or something related at first despite me explaining it's actually a digital currency payment system free of the state. Since I'm dealing with mostly liberals and a handful of conservatives, their big picture in life doesn't usually mentally function w/o the almighty state calling the shots. Perhaps, this is what is holding them back in fully understanding the benefits of it. Likely, this non-state factor is what is puzzling to a lot of people that are hearing about it and curious as to what all the hype is about. This is anarchy on parade after all.

6032  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-22 [Video] CNBC: Cramer: Treasury 'should've shut down bitcoin' on: November 22, 2013, 09:28:32 PM
Dumb da dumb, dumb, dumb! For the record, CNBC is just an MSM propaganda outlet owned by General Electric and is only relevant (in their fake world) because they're paid by brokerage firms and certain stock and mutual funds to pump their bullshit on unsuspecting casual observers. People, we are gonna be the nouveau riche, luminaries and dignitaries of the future.  Cheesy
6033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Galt's Gulch Chile - Accepting Bitcoin on: November 16, 2013, 05:51:15 PM
Anyone here seriously considering this? Especially non-Americans that would have a harder time going the FSP route.
6034  Other / Politics & Society / Re: any free state project fans (or haters) here? on: November 15, 2013, 06:06:54 PM
I'm an FSP participant. I lived there for a little over a year and loved it. Plan on moving back to fulfill my commitment in due time. I never left my residence w/o my 40 cal, not like I needed it or anything.

6037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at the US Senate on: November 15, 2013, 05:35:40 PM
One decent upside to these Senate hearings is that Sen. Rand Paul is on the Homeland Security Cmte and likely has some staffers that have better than average intelligence w/ a free market perspective. He's definitely the apex of the Liberty Crusaders in Washington DC. I'm supper happy that this issue is being brought to his attention if it hasn't already.
6038  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / When are the BTC Trezors hitting the market? on: November 01, 2013, 05:18:56 PM
I pre-ordered back in July and am looking forward to getting mine. Anyone else order one and curious about shipping dates?
