6021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 19, 2020, 09:04:55 AM
For people who does not have enough income to live a comfortable life, we try to find ways to end the struggle, we take big risk to gain big rewards so if we will be successful, we don't need to work anymore and just enjoy the rest of our life doing the things that we can't do due to lack of money.

are you one of the people who dream like this?

Depending on luck to succeed in life is something I won't advice any individual to do, most people see successful individuals and immediately think they were lucky not realizing it takes opportunity plus preparation to profit from the opportunity life offers. Two individuals can come across the same opportunity but get different result because one was prepared for that opportunity while the other wasn't.

The risk associated with Investing can't be compared to that of gambling, both are risk but while that of Investing is a calculated risk, that of gambling is just mare been optimistic with no assurances. Gambling should be more of a side hustle or avenue to catch fun and not blueprint to achieve financial freedom.

Personally I haven't dreamt about achieving my financial freedom through gambling, something ago, when I was activitely involved in gambling, I created a plan to reinvest any profit from my gambling profit because I never believed in been productive with money gotten from gambling.

I am not sure why lampard keeps trying what does not work.

He won't learn, he thinks everything should revolve around his English players. Playing Mount when obviously he shouldn't be in the first team. Mount went missing in the first half i don't understand why he was given another 15+ extra minutes in the second half when obviously he wasn't in the game. All through the match after I observed we couldn't score by breaking down Newcastle defense I was just shouting "shot, shot, shot" each time we had the ball outside the 18 yard box.

Another player that was poor was Williams, he had so many chances to shot and probably score but didn't and when he did, it was a poor attempt. Kepa Arrizabalaga was just awful, imagining relaxing throughout the whole match and when we needed him the most, he couldn't save us.

James was the only outstanding player for me and hope his injury isn't that serious to make him miss matches just as Pulisic is currently missing and his absence is been felt. Abraham needs to improve if he wants to retain that No9 shirt, he misses were just annoying.

PS: young manager + young players, with time they'll learn from their mistakes and improve.
6023  Other / Meta / I can't leave feedback on accounts anymore, what could be the cause? (Resolved) on: January 17, 2020, 04:51:15 AM
Tried leaving some feedback yesterday but I wasn't allowed to submit my feedback, tried severally on different occasions but got the same result. Thought it was my network misbehaving again so decide to try the next day (which is today) but still I'm getting the same result. I encountered this issue after selecting the type of feedback I intend leaving, posted link to reference link then started typing the comment, immediately the submit button becomes invincible making it impossible to submit the feedback.

Anyone experiencing same issue and what could probably be the cause and solution?

6026  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When trading, never ignore the statoshi value of your coins on: January 15, 2020, 03:34:34 AM
This advice totally depends on your intentions in the first place, supposedly you're trading to increase the amount of bitcoin you have then focusing on the Satoshi value of a trade comes in handle or becomes more important but in instances where you sole purpose for trading is to profit in value of the coin then it doesn't matter whether you lost some satoshi in the process of profiting. The end goal is that you increase the value of the money you had prior to trading.

Most traders don't have a plan that's why they get confused in scenario like this, you should have a plan on what you need from a trade before you jump right into trading. Something alts gain value in USD but losses value in Satoshi, vice versa is the case sometmes too although that doesn't mean such trade will be a loss since different traders want different result but still in a profitable form.

Bitcoin value increasing when they're a spike in bitcoin so if your trading had nothing to do with cashing out in bitcoin but another alternative currencies then you can always cashout through other alts or stablecoin to avoid feeling unsatisfied with the trade result due to recieving lesser bitcoin then what your capital was when you funded the trade.
6027  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you need to become a successful trader? on: January 15, 2020, 03:22:04 AM
What i want to know is how can i become a successful trader and make money for the rest of my life. Should i learn technical analysis or harmonic patterns......
And which is the best market to trade for a beginner.

Forex and cryptocurrency are two different market although forex is more profitable considering it's more predictable and less volatile than cryptocurrency market. The skills needed in both market differs too, while as forex depends on a more technical approach, cryptocurrency can still be profitable without relying on technical analysis.

I'll suggest you learn both trading technique, they'll come in handle in different market condition, a successful trader in my opinion is a trader that have master the craft of trading and failure is hardly experience during his/her professional time of trading. A successful tradet has to be willing to learn from their previous mistake to improve on themselves.

To be a successful trader doesn't only depends on profiting from your traders since every trader can be profitable but it depends on how you have developed yourself over the years, master a strategy that you can deploy anything and it works perfectly for you, been able to adjust to any market condition and still profit etc.
6028  Economy / Economics / Senegalese government openly supports the Akoin (cryptocurrency) project. on: January 14, 2020, 05:20:34 PM
Woke up to the news of Akon's city project (in Senegal) been approved by the government of the country, he has been given the go ahead to build a city that its official currency would be cryptocurrency but sadly that cryptocurrency won't be bitcoin, although it'll be a great avenue to create awareness about the concept of cryptocurrency both in the country and continent (Africa). I see some positive development from this project as the government are already onboard but it worries me that many uniformed Senegalese will be misinform and denied the privilege of enjoying true financial freedom that cryptocurrency is meant to introduced to the masses through bitcoin.

The proposed Akoin currency is likely going to be another centralized cryptocurrency that transaction would be closely monitored and moderated like the fiat. The whitepaper haven't been published (to my knowledge) as I don't have any idea how the coin will be operated.  What's your take on this project, do you think it'll add some positive feedback to how cryptocurrency is been viewed in the continent, increase adoption of cryptocurrency in the country and continent and probably create more awareness for bitcoin as the king of the cryptocurrency industry?. In general, what's you take on this project?

PS: I'm having this feeling, the Chinese are behind this project and Akon's reputation is just been used to gain acceptance. I might be wrong though lol.
6029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the main purpose in gambling, always to make more money? on: January 14, 2020, 03:33:03 AM
No No. I believe that the main purpose of gambling is to have fun. You can have fun either with your friends or yourself. Do not attempt to make more money with gambling because it can make you in debt. Moreover, when you more and more rely on gambling, you will soon become addicted to it. Therefore, always have in mind that gambling is only for fun.

I disagree with your reasoning, gambling can serve as both a fun activity and a money making source. You can't just suggest it should be used as only a fun activity source based on the absorption, the likeliness of getting into debts is present. Debts only come in when there is lack of money management or poor money management, where the gamblers doesn't have strategic plans to minimize lost or cut spending.

The addiction only comes into play when you can't control your emotions, and getting attached to the game or your money which makes you to keep on paying irrespective of you lossing with the purpose of recovering your losses but end up getting more loss which brings about the poor management of fund I expressed in the first paragraph.

Responding to the thread title, i won't say the main purpose of gambling is just to make more money since different individuals will definitely have different motives towards gambling but making more money is likely at the top of the list, followed by having fun since majority of activities this days are fun related.
6030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 14, 2020, 03:00:49 AM

That's a very unfair statement directed at Manchester city,
City could still have a wonderful season, there is the Uefa champions league, the fa cup and the carabao cup which they already have one leg in the final(after beating united 3 1 in the first leg of the semi final at Old Trafford)

There's no excuse for failure, playing awfully can't be excused. You speak of city dominating (how many years please?) You won just two premier league back to back and you think you have dominated a league. What about the Manchester United glory days? If you want to be dominant then you need to keep delivery every season like the like of jeventus and PSG does in their respective league and you can bring in the like of Barcelona/Real Madrid into the discussion too.

Don't forget, last season Liverpool were the reason behind their own down fall. Remember they only lost to Manchester City meaning they were far better when comparing to City that lost more games but drawing must win games caused Liverpool the trophy. Liverpool has always been the better team but just been unlucky. Don't forget they won the champion league, something City in their so called prime couldn't do.

City can win all the rest trophies (domestically) who cares? But you see the champion league? City aren't champion league material and pep isn't likely to lift that trophy with Manchester city especially with this set of current players. Haven't you noticed, city get inferior (lesser) teams all through the earlier stage of the competition, which makes them look dominating but when it time to face tougher teams or teams with equal strength, they lose since they don't have the experience to win such games unlike the previous winners. Keep calm and watch Liverpool win both major competition with swag lol.
6031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 13, 2020, 06:52:43 PM
I think Southampton circled in the calendar this game, they lost 9-0 last time if you guys can remember and that was humiliating for them, so they wanted to make sure they play the best ever possible game of their life, like even if in the end they can't even walk anymore, they wanted to put all they got in the field.

In my honest opinion, I would say Leicester city were outplayed in that match because they missed the contributions that Wilfred indidi added to the squad. Although the match almost ended in a draw but still Southampton were by far the better side and thankfully they got what they truly deserve (all three points from the encounter)

In your spare time, try googling the statistics of Wilfred indidi as a defensive midfielder and you'll understand how vital he has been to Leicester winning form. His injury is a big loss to the Leicester squad and they're beginning to feel the impact of his absence in the D.midfield to Intercept passes. Over the last two years he has been one of the best (if not the best) tacklers in the premier league ahead of other players playing in the same role for other clubs.

Leicester is a club with a winning mentality so they'll definitely bounce back from the defeats that have been coming their way of recent  Manchester city are currently in the second position but that won't last long considering Leicester get back on form and keep winning while City just keep disappointing as usual.
6032  Economy / Services / Re: Bitsler Signature & Avatar Campaign (Closing Friday) on: January 13, 2020, 06:26:36 PM
Just giving everyone a heads up, Bitsler Signature Campaign will come to en end this week. Once payouts are made friday everyone is free to remove their sigs and look for another campaign.

I really appreciate everyone who has been a part of this campaign for the last few years.

That's just sad, was keeping an eye on this campaign for quite a while now, hoping I might get a shot someday. Goodluck to them. Hope they're not out of business, would be sad not seeing their advert that often on the forum. Their support for the forum has been massive over the years of them advertising on the forum, alway paying their promoters week in, week out etc. The managers of the campaign did an impressive job too. Kudos.

Hope you don't mind dropping the cost of a pack of diaper in your region plus BTC address to send fund. (Might increase my donation depending on the price). My regards to your wife and family. (Sending you a PM too). Congratulations once again, having a baby is something I always dream of accomplishing someday, not married yet.
6034  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of crypto trading do you recommend with $50 investment? on: January 12, 2020, 09:10:56 AM
Not sure if my advice will still be valuable to the Op since the post is kinda last year although looking at the market, here's my advice on utilizing the $50 effectively. Ethereum has been providing some profitable trades in the past 1/2 weeks. I didn't trade although was paying attention to the coin since 2020 seems like a very profitable year for the coin based on the improving upgrading linked with the coin.

Trying to profit from bitcoin with just $50 can be achievable too considering, for every $1000 price increase bitcoin gains, 0.1BTC gets you around 10% profit while 0.01BTC gets you around 1%( that's $100 & $10 respectively) and since your $50 capital can get you ~ 0.014BTC (based on the current bitcoin price), that's a 1.4% profit. While every $500 price gain give you a profit of 0.7% which should be around $3.5.

I would suggest you pay attention to ethereum, get it when it loses some value and sell when the price increases, so as to increase your capital then focus mainly on trading bitcoin. Since sooner or later the hype surrounding ethereum would reduce and trading it will become more risky. Currently we're still in the early weeks of the new year so ethereum is getting some positive attention due to the news concerning the upgrades.
6035  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I trade with the knowledge of others. How do you feel about signals, closed paid on: January 12, 2020, 06:16:20 AM
I don't see anything wrong in receiving trading signals whether paid or free although my advice for both upcoming traders and current traders would be, don't based your trading carrier on relying on others to become successful. Sure it'll be fun when you're winning but in the times when you get a wrong trade, the losses that you'll record will be a liability since you won't be able to learn anything as the mistake wasn't yours.

Trading by relying on your experience and strategy is more beneficial as it developes you into a professional trader. As a beginner you can start your trading experience by relying on others to minimize losses but ones you're done with that phase, you should start practicing your trading strategy to perfect them.

Understandable, most of the so called paid signal groups aren't actually predicting or speculating on the market instead they're capitalizing on the number of followers they have to pick random coins to pump and dump them. So in choosing any of this groups, you have to be very cautious and carryout thorough investigation ti avoid falling victim of scam.
6036  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Full time trading is boring on: January 11, 2020, 01:29:01 PM
One of the biggest cons of full time trading is being alone , boring sitting in front of computer watching charts data all the time from past 6 moths i am almost doing this and now because of this i am not able to focus on trades. i feel like quieting full time trading and go to job so i make some new friends and Socialness

what you guys do to avoid this biggest cons on full time trading

Well since each and every individuals could have different reaction to a particular situation I believe full time trading won't suck or be boring to everyone. Personally I hate anything that keeps me at a spot that's why I stopped full-time trading in the first place or worked for a company that'll require me to sit at a particular spot all day doing same task day after day.

We have individuals that love reading chart and are passionate about it. For those individuals, irrespective of the outcome of their trades, they mightn't feel bored. In my understanding what make trading or any job you're doing boring is when you don't have passion for what you're doing and only doing it because of the money involved.

Traders that aren't successful at trading are also likely to feel bored trading therefore them practicing their craft to perfect it so it won't make them feel like they're wasting their time etc is very vital. The lonely you speak off, is a problem that can be easily eliminated by trading in pairs of group trading. These can be done physically or online.
6037  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Reduce 50 merit limit per post. on: January 09, 2020, 01:45:14 PM
I see some reasoning in what you have just said and if theymos after investigating sees that, this (50 smerit sending stuff) is getting abused then he should do what's best for the system. If I'm not mistaking, I have only received 50 merit ones per transaction and obviously it has to be from TMAN's generosity. Reducing the maximum smerit sending amount won't stop the abuse of the system. I see more advantage than disadvantage. We have users that spend countless minutes constructively informative threads and quality replies yet they go unnoticed and ones in a blue moon them getting a boost of 50 merit isn't that bad especially when they do deserve it.

The way this merit of a thing works, if your works (posts) aren't visible to a large audience with smerits and they're willing to spend, your chances of getting merited is reduced especially from more individuals therefore if someone with abundant smerit comes across your work and he/she is willing to merit you in large amount then they should be free to do so provided your post is worthy of been merited or you deserve a boost due to your previous works that must have gone unnoticed.

Merit wasn't introduced to denial quality users an opportunity to rank up, especially those who aren't as visible as the reputed users. Understandable the 50smerit per transaction isn't much of a regular occurrences for users receiving it genuinely. Therefore I won't mind meriting someone that amount if I see a user that obviously have be neglected due to his/her works not getting the visibility needed to receive merit from meriters.
6038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 09, 2020, 07:44:42 AM
Well, it was completely one sided game, Leicester dominated totally, but Villa managed to score with just shot on target. In second half Leicester scored and were close to make result 2:1, but didn't managed to that.
But I think that Villa have good chance to reach final, despite their performance today.

Having total ball possession without end result is a boring style of play. Leicester dominate but couldn't get something out of all those possession which caused them the 3points. From the match stats, Leicester played like Sarri's Chelsea and not like Brendan Rodgers Leicester city that we know of. Leicester had 21 shots compared to Aston Villa's just 3 shots, funny enough villa could score with just their 1 shot on target. Leicester had 70% of the ball possession and completed 687 passes and yet couldn't score more than 1 goals, that's just poor.

Ps: Brendan Rodgers has been profiting from his trust in Kelechi Iheanacho and the Nigerian striker has been brilliant under his management scoring the only Leicester goal as a substitute.

Heads up, Incase you missed it, Sadio Mane is the Africa player of the year.
The CAFAward (Africa football award) ceremony held last night and Sadio Mane was crowd the Africa player of the year. This is the first time he's winning the prestigious award. He won the award ahead of his teammate and two time winner, Mo Salah and previous winner, Riyad Mahrez.

Congratulations to him and Liverpool. This current Liverpool squad are winning awards and getting the recognition they deserve. Next up FIFA BEST and probably ballon d'or lol.

Lets see how he performs against Tottenham, hopefully getting a goal to celebrate his recent achievement.
6039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 08, 2020, 07:32:42 PM
Even tho Mane was arguably best player from Africa all year, he was also a superbly nice human being as well which I am sure contributed a lot for him to win.

<***>

That's very true. Sometimes I get angry as a football fans why both players (Mo Salah and Sadio Mane) are playing for the same club. They're like our Messi & Ronaldo but it's never fun when comparing both players since they win trophies, medals together, compliment themselves with assists etc. Assuming they were playing for different clubs like Messi and Ronaldo then the competition would had been more tougher and intense but currently they're just on the same level with each having a more awesome season simultaneously. Sadio Mana outside football is a very generous individual and that's also contributing to his fan base, below is an image showcasing some of his generosity and love from his people.

Not trying to put the two players against themselves but for the game to be lively, competition is needed that'll why the game over the last decade was very interesting as the two Goats alway gave us sometimes to discuss (debate) about. It would be nice for the Africa football community to experience such. Truely, Liverpool is lucky and blessed to have two of the best Africa players contributing to their recent success.
6040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 08, 2020, 01:50:32 AM
Man City made Man Utd look like a bunch of amateurs from the non-professionals leagues.

I don't know if i'm gonna make it through the 2nd half. It's so sad really...

I didn't bother wasting my time to watch the match, irrespective of whether both teams used their main starting 11 or not, this isn't a premier league game so obviously the atmosphere can never be the same. Saw from the stats, City outplayed United but I guess the one positive result they can take home form the match is that, Rashford scored again (against a top team).

The CAFAward (Africa football award) ceremony held last night and Sadio Mane was crowd the Africa player of the year. This is the first time he's winning the prestigious award. He won the award ahead of his teammate and two time winner, Mo Salah and previous winner, Riyad Mahrez.

Sadio Mane achievements in 2019:
• PL golden boot winner - 22 goals
• PFA Team Of the Year
• Champions League Winner
• Euro Super Cup Winner
• Club World Cup Winner
• 4th Ballon D’or Rankings
• 2019 African Player of The Year

Congratulations to him and Liverpool. This current Liverpool squad are winning awards and getting the recognition they deserve. Next up FIFA BEST and probably ballon d'or lol.
