I discovered Folgory exchange today and their feature "Investment" caught my eye. https://folgory.com/investment-request/BTC
How can you guarantee 72% profit per year?? So if I invest 1 BTC, I will have 1.72 BTC after one year, correct? Please explain how can you offer such interest rates.

Good news for the Vietnamese! On November 22, KuCoin launched Vietnam Dong (VND) OTC market with BTC and USDT pairs. And yesterday they started promotion and they will refund 40% of trading fees for OTC trades with VDT fiat currency. Available only for KYC verified users from Vietnam!

Leicester city might will just keep going to get full 3 points against Aston villa today
Hopefully not, I have an acca with Aston Villa 1X...I'm probably one of the few weirdos who expects The Foxes to drop points today lol But there's been a lot of upsets this weekend (Bayern, Juve, Chelsea, Man City, etc), why not expect another one? (:

Already 0-2 for Leicester. Although Aston Villa also had their chances. I think they will score in the second half. Placing small amount on BTTS and Southampton to win.

For the last game of the day - Brighton vs. Wolverhampton I predict Both teams to score at decent odds of 1.80. Both teams are in good form, having 6 or more shots on target for last couple of games, including difficult opponents. And they rarely keep a clean sheet so perfect bet for this match.

6027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus game: EPL, Matchweek 15, Manchester City VS Manchester United on: December 08, 2019, 02:13:47 PM
Surely Man City is the favourite here but are the odds realistic? For me, 1.30 is too low to take the risk. United is capable to score and it would be really interesting if they score first. It seems that United is playing better against top-half of the table teams (Win against Chelsea, tie against Liverpool, Win against Tottenham) because such opponents play more openly and there are more opportunities for counter attacks.

I hope someone listened to me and skipped this "public bet" on Man City. I didn't expect United to win to be fair, but I did say that betting on City with such low odds is not smart. United scored first, although from a penalty, but this gave them huge moral lift. They have very good stats on games when they score first and they proved again that they can defend the lead.
I hope you learned something from this game.
6028  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-04] SoFi Obtains its BitLicense to Expose NY Customers to Cryptocurrenc on: December 07, 2019, 04:52:55 PM
Never heard of SoFi before, but after some research I found out it's a financial services company that started with providing student loans in 2011. It has annual revenue of $547M of which $126M is profit. Obviously the company changed a lot from a student loan company. Now it offers also mortgages, mortgage refinancing and personal loans, cash management accounts and an investment platform.
They never showed interest in cryptocurrencies before so this came as a big surprise. They are on a good path because BitLicense issued by New York State Department of Financial Services has some weight. Only 15 or so companies obtained the license, for example Coinbase, Bitstamp, Xapo, Robinhood, Circle.

Mark_R, do you have a stop loss set for the other half of trade that is still active? Where do you think it would be wise to set it? I'm thinking $50 bellow your green line so at the moment this means $7460. We are very neat the green line right now so let's wait a few more hours and see if the trend line holds or breaks.

6031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Consider All Altcoins Bad on: December 06, 2019, 09:39:15 PM
Not many people hate on all altcoins, but common argument is that most altcoins are obsolete, not needed, problems that they are solving could be solved without special dedicated cryptocurrency. For example fast transactions with low fees can he solved using bitcoin and Lightning Network. So we already have this feature in bitcoin. And there are more so-called Layer 2 solutions around bitcoin, shown on this graphics:

6032  Economy / Economics / Re: Does halving really create deflation? on: December 06, 2019, 07:20:21 PM
I think it is a longer projection than people may think. Everyone is wondering what will happen BEFORE the halving, what will happen AFTER the halving and all of that but nobody realizes there is a longer period that it will affect. From halving to later it will always be 900 per day instead of 1800, that means 900 less bitcoins mined every single day, in one day it is around 6 million dollars, in 30 days it is literally 180 million dollars, in 6 months it will come to 1 billion! dollars.

So, while you are discussing the price of bitcoin due to halving, don't look at one month before and one month after, after the halving there is no turning back and it will forever be missing out and miners will have to sell for higher eventually and the more hashrate comes the higher that will go too.
Good explanation. One could think that 900 bitcoins less per days won't have big impact on the market considering daily trading volume is around 1 million BTC on exchanges.
But
A lot of that trading is day trading when people sell and buy back soon after, preferably at lower price to make profit. On the other hand 1800 bitcoins that miners get every day, mostly get just sold. Miners sell bitcoins to pay for electricity and equipment, and they never buy back those bitcoins. So they only contribute to price decrease. While day traders who generate most of the trading volume, usually sell AND also buy so they also push the price up.
Fact is 900 bitcoins less will be sold per day, 27,000 BTC per month and this will have impact.
6033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to be thankful than hate him on: December 06, 2019, 05:06:06 PM
Hi,
Beautiful people

This post is dedicated to all the haters of Bitcoin in this forum. I have been asking my self what did Bitcoin and the creator of Bitcoin do wrong with them?

The one who invented never came out with his name or asked us to popularize him. He became famous because he did invent something that was meant to help us.

We are innovating, we are creating brilliant product but, it does not mean we degrade the one which started it all.

Why anyone would like to question Bitcoin?

What makes you think it is inferior to what you have invented?

Remember, it is Bitcoin that started the revolution and it is Bitcoin that will change the life for the needy.

I have been asking myself what did the inventor do wrong to be conned and claimed as they never were able to prove it? Cheap stunt!!

Mr Nakamura(it would be nice that everyone give him/her that respect) invented something, which has changed our live, we should appreciate and love his creation, rather asking everyday who he was? where can we find him? and so on.

I am not a judge here, I am that individual who was no one until this guy invented a product and made me who I am!

Thanks.

Respect Bitcoin and Respect the creator!!!

We never would have been here, If Bitcoin creator NEVER thought about us.
Who is Mr. Nakamura? So much praising and showing respect but you can't even spell Satoshi Nakamoto correctly.
It's good to question bitcoin. Why not? I doubt about everything but if I realize my doubt was unjustified, I admit it.
6034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 Dice Strategies that Might be Proven Helpful on: December 06, 2019, 04:29:37 PM
Never heard of Paroli strategy but I will try it on Windice. 3 wins in row is a quite common streak on 50-50 dice so this sounds like a fun strategy. In the long run you should win as many times as you loose, but when you have a winning streak, you make more!
6035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 06, 2019, 04:09:15 PM
Inter Milan - As Roma
Inter have won all their past five games in Serie A. They have 37 points from 14 games and I expect another win for them this week. The odds for Inter Milan is 1.83. It's good however they play against As Roma.  So, I bet on Inter Milan. I also bet on over 2.5.

Roma is also in good form. They won their last 3 games and they scored 3 goals in EACH of them. Kluivert and Dzeko are on fire, Mkhitaryan is also back and ready to play. I've put BTTS on one of my parlay tickets. Good luck to you too.

Quoting for you but you should consider getting a bitcoin address that you actually control. So not another address from exchange but rather an address for which you also have a private key.
This way you could also sign a message from your address, proving it's actually yours. If this address is from an exchange again, you cannot sign a message.
6038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Games that everybody likes on: December 06, 2019, 03:31:51 PM
The games I miss on online gambling sites are multiplayer games, for example Connect four, Uno, Battleship and such. Okay maybe Uno is not very suitable to play online because it's much more fun to play it in person because you can put your card on the pile ef you have identical card, even if it's not your turn. And you need to say Uno which is not possible online. But I'm sure there are many games beside Connect four, that you could play online.
6039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: crypto earnings on: December 06, 2019, 02:50:30 PM
Based on our country, you cannot actually get away from taxes in cryptocurrency conversion to fiats. How? Because if you have local exchanges, then that is the place where you need to convert your cryptocurrency. In this case, what you need is to pay transaction fees with taxes from conversions. What is good about it is that, if you have huge accumulation of cryptos, instead of converting, you could transact and pay in crypto without taxes.
What about peer to peer trades with a person from your country? He gives you cash, you send him Bitcoins. And you keep that cash at home, not deposit it to the bank because you might need to explain origin of money.
But I guess it's difficult to find buyer for large amounts of Bitcoins.
6040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin can not become a global currency on: December 06, 2019, 02:43:52 PM
US Dollars are used for money laundering even more than Bitcoin, but they are a global currency regardless. Cash is even less trackable than Bitcoin, gold even less because you can melt it.
There are other reasons why Bitcoin will not beat USD for another decade probably. It's less convenient for everyday shopping, it requires some technical knowledge from users and its value in not stable enough so people are afraid to store their wealth in Bitcoins. But all that could change in the future.
