@iasenko, I'm like nc, can't go to sleep unless all my chrome tabs are shut Smiley.

@cabalism, you can scroll down or hit home and reopen the browser other than that, nothing else apparently works...
6022  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Multisig issues with electrum on: February 15, 2019, 07:31:32 PM
With legacy I think so, with segwit no.

I don't think you can use segwit at all with the device but I think that just means that you sign the transaction in stages.

So say there's 3 devices, you use one of the devices wallets to make the multisig and sign it, you then sign it with the others later on.
6023  Other / Meta / Re: Reporting very old posts? on: February 15, 2019, 05:48:58 PM
and clean in it up later if we run out of new shitposts.

You know , and i know that will never happens !  LOL   Cheesy  Grin

Yeah. If Theymos bans everyone for a week then it will.

To add to what loyce says, reporting a post in a locked thread is meaningless as it won't be deleted (unless it's plagiarism probably).

Using with Electrum via USB
install Electrum version 3.2.3 or later, with Coldcard support: download here
select "New/Restore" from File menu
pick file name
pick "Standard Wallet"
pick "Use a hardware device"
select the Coldcard device shown
choose Segwit or classic address format
operates like any other USB hardware wallet

https://coldcardwallet.com/docs/quick

Does it work without multisig? Potentially it could need a firmware update or an update of electrum (if they're not both up to date).

It may be that they might not support multisig however I think that's unlikely and if they don't they probably will soon.
6025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it legal to accept fiat during ICO? on: February 15, 2019, 05:11:27 PM
It probably depends on your country. I think a lot of these don't accept fist because they're wanting to scam and fiat transactions can be reversed (unless they're cash in hand).
6026  Other / Meta / Re: Reporting very old posts? on: February 15, 2019, 05:09:38 PM
Go with your conscience. If you want to, report it. There are some users who get banned on here for post made in August 2018/2017 that have been plagiarised and these are quite recent bans so go ahead and report if you like. But I wouldn't make a chore of it.
6027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Coins that can be HDD mined? on: February 15, 2019, 03:23:31 PM
Keep your eyes on the CHIA project.  http://chia.network

Their website is not working for me. Is it only me?

It's more than a year later, they've probably collapsed already...
6028  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 2-12-18. I tried to send 6 bitcoins and then received a popup message. on: February 14, 2019, 09:41:53 PM
@nc50lc there is a way if someone hits enter an accidentally selects the text or the text is selected for some other reason.

@DarkStar_ it states on their website that they're posting the message.

In order to reach users of vulnerable versions, we have started to use the same vulnerability, and to direct them to electrum.org.
6029  Other / Meta / Re: Black screen when loading forum pages in chrome. on: February 14, 2019, 08:38:37 PM
I don't.

It loads up fine for me... Probably an issue to do with the forum ads.
6030  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: What private key format to use to import a Bip-38 paper wallet into Electrum? on: February 14, 2019, 07:04:15 PM
What letter does the private key begin with there are one of three issues.
1. It could be without a checksum.
2. It could be decrypted with the wrong password.
3. It could just have been saved wrong.

Does the encrypted key begin with a U? If not add one and try again (if its in base58).
6031  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How bitcoin inheritance can be achieved. on: February 14, 2019, 05:31:59 PM
I do have two friends that are very computer literate. I'm writing code at the moment to do with a bitcoin related project and I keep sending snippits of it to one of them in order to see if they can help with its optimisation. They also used to do ethereum mining in the past.

I suppose I have less of a risk of being killed or robbed from by a friend than by a family member also.

Family can also inherit my physical items which friends can't so it makes it more reasonable for them to receive something...
6032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Coins that can be HDD mined? on: February 14, 2019, 05:09:20 PM
@notabeliever, what storage do you have and what profit do you make in burst (or more what are your earnings)?

I have an 8tb drive and am wondering whether to get a few other drives as theyre quite cheap to get hold of second hand ones.
6033  Other / Meta / Re: Black screen when loading forum pages in chrome. on: February 14, 2019, 05:02:51 PM
I think the problem are the forum ads:  https://imgur.com/gallery/GzKBVUj
The Cryptex one for example and cryptoTV have black backgrounds, we have to check it, because it happens quite random same as the forum ads

You're right it's the cryptex forum ad.

Are ads in their own div with separate ids to other ones on the page? I'm guessing its something to do with how mobile apps work.

This used to be more prevalent in the windows xp / 98 days and with internet explorer.
Basically, it's a graphics / low ram issue.
1. Just disable hardware acceleration from the settings and you'll be fine.
2. Get better hardware.
i dont think so its really the cause of low ram .. because its a glitch in selected apps.. when a new android app updates comes out it dose not customized for every model of android devices.. thats why this error is hapening .

It's a glitch in the html parsing rather than an issue with the actual operating system.
The scroll approach works.
I don't think updating from a 4x2.3GHz+4x1.3GHz processor is going to do much. The ram is only 6gb but I have desktops with less than that.
6034  Other / Meta / Re: Paying twice to enable posting? on: February 14, 2019, 03:07:18 PM
@theymos do you acceo the ln yet for these payments? I think it'll make the mainnet blockchain less clogged for when you get the 500 Satoshi if the user opts to pay that way.

I thought this was going to be about getting people to pay in bitcoin to stop them from racking up a large number of accounts to spam or something.
6035  Other / Meta / Re: Black screen when loading forum pages in chrome. on: February 14, 2019, 01:26:13 PM
I put pmalek on ignore and it didn't do it again with this thread but my conscience will lead me to unignoring him soon enough.
Hmm that is strange. But you were already experiencing the problem before I posted here, hence my posts trying to figure out why it's happening.
Can it be my signature or the dark logo?
You probably can't see what I am writing since you have me on Ignore but try to check if you are experiencing the same issues for other users that wear the FortuneJack sig/avatar. Maybe visit the Signature campaign thread or their ANN page.

Yeah I got it again with you on ignore just now so it's probably not you/fortune jack.

Maybe I'll try disabling signatures if it gets too naooying but otherwise I'll have to use one of the workarounds.
6036  Other / Meta / Re: Paying twice to enable posting? on: February 13, 2019, 11:04:36 PM
The fee was actually supposed to triple... As a way to get people to pay a fair share on the rates they pay.

Ah. So you've paid off the first third and potentially need to pay the other two is my guess...
6037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hacking on: February 13, 2019, 11:00:09 PM
Unless they find out who stole them. Check your address is definitely empty and that the transaction is confirmed. Then delete the wallet if you have the seed written down. You might want to keep hold of the seed just in case they find the hacker.
6038  Other / Meta / Re: Black screen when loading forum pages in chrome. on: February 13, 2019, 10:51:10 PM
I've resolved it twice by hitting the home button and opening it from the open apps selector.

Both of those were today when I finally thought I'd try it.
I put pmalek on ignore and it didn't do it again with this thread but my conscience will lead me to unignoring him soon enough.
6039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hacking on: February 13, 2019, 08:47:37 PM
Why do you believe you've been 'hacked'? Have you found coins/funds missing from a wallet?

I had the same thing happen to me as others have said. When using electrum a message appeared saying I need to update the app. Then after redownloading I saw my funds had been sent to another account.

If you downloaded from anywhere but electrum.org then most likely.

You should never download anything if you get a warning like this. It could be a developer scamming at best.
6040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hacking on: February 13, 2019, 08:38:45 PM
Check addresses on a block explorer like btc.com to confirm if you've been hacked from a bitcoin wallet.

If an exchange account has been hacked, contact their support. It would be helpful if you could go into more detail. It's like asking us how to tell if you've turned your computer on...
