It'll also be interesting to see what effect this will have on precious metals too. However, Obama and co have been getting lots of backlash as many members of the House and Senate plus super majorities of the American people don't want this to happen.

I'm in a similar situation as I ordered the next step up from the Jally (single mini?) back on June 17th this summer. Of course, I bought in btc and they say all transactions are final yet what's the point of having the thing if it isn't going to come til (best case scenario) October and more than likely by the end of the year. Is the only recourse filing with the ftc or writing it off?
Did you not know of how backordered these units were before you placed your order? Apparently not. Guess this is my personal BTC booboo. Hopefully, something inspires BFL to get their ass into gear and complete their end of the bargain. Glad I made all the btc future share purchases I did to offset this booboo.

To those that don't know, Dr. Ron Paul is a past Republican Congressman and has run for President of the US in '88 as a Libertarian and in '08 & '12 as a Republican. He has been the leader in the resurgence of the true Constitutional Conservatives in GOP (Grande Ole Party - Republican) and the Tea Party movement started on Dec 16, 2007 (234th anniversary of the original Boston Tea Party where American colonists threw hundreds of tea leave chests into the Boston harbor in protest of King George's tea tax w/o representation) where his Presidential campaign raised $6.1 million in a single day's "moneybomb" which was the largest single day donation drive in US history. At the end of his 2nd Prez campaign, he started the Campaign for Liberty which is a pro-liberty lobbying organization to which I'm a state and national member. He also has his own Ron Paul Channel online and as well as his Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity. His son is a popular and iconic US Senator from Kentucky and is a front-runner for the GOP nomination in 2016. The Paul's and their allies represent and significant shift in the GOP to return to following the Constitution and stopping civil liberty invasions, out of control govt spending and a more reasonable and restrained foreign policy - all of which is the opposite of what the Bush Republicans stand for.

The weird thing is I know that man. That's Rich Paul from Keene, NH and he's a freestater originally from MI. I knew him fairly well when I lived in NH a few years back, he used to sell silver among other things. He's now in jail for a year for marijuana civil disobedience among other things.

Land of the free.
I will say this, the awakening of the average person in their own small way has increased substantially over the last 5-7 years here. And, the average conservative has developed more libertarian streaks thanks to the Pauls. Plus, we still got guns. Of course, I don't carry one everyday like I did when I lived in NH.

I looked around briefly there but I couldn't figure out what exactly is going on there. Is this buying a stock or what is it really? Yes, buy shares from a mining company, collect dividends, sell shares higher, ... , profit! Ah, so this is a little different than group buys in the mining subforum.

A friend of mine lost his 5 coins by having this android app and now he's spooked. Told him to play it safe and get a trezor for his computer.

Bad business mojo to not update your shareholders immediately let alone these 5 day and 3 week hiatuses. This looked like another decent group buy to join but the track record credibility needs steady improvement.

Any updates or is this a bust?

Our goal is to get the mainstream into bitcoin and we are one of the first bitcoin businesses to advertise our services to the mass media. 70 percent of our customers are absolutely new to bitcoin so I guess we are winning a good battle there. We want hashing power into the common man's hands and not a large pool of wealthy dudes.
Expect great things from us in the next few weeks and months.
Emmanuel
I like that but how are your packages going to pay out the amount of coinage you've stated over the course of a year or two as the difficulty keeps vamping up? Will you constantly be adding new hardware to guarantee the coinage payouts?

If you're American and don't know about Ben Swann, then you have some studying to do. He was a reporter with the Fox affiliate out of Cincinnati, OH who did the Full Disclosure episodes that were popular. Among them were his reporting on the actual number of delegates that Ron Paul was getting that the MSM either didn't understand or were complicit in misreporting. Anyways, Ben has gone Indy and you can check out the content at his site and decide for yourself whether it's worth sending him some coinage. http://benswann.com/Oh and non-US folk are welcome as well.

If the idea is to refab cribs down there and live, I doubt the locals will take kindly to that as someone else has already pointed out. Most of these people don't have jobs and consume from the public trough, so they have plenty of idle time to do whatever. Drugs and the associated lifestyles is very prevalent and there is a certain anti-suburb mentality down there and they certainly don't want any white folk moving in any time soon. Also, police patrols are way down and they only respond to certain kinds of calls, murder is one of them however. ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif)

There is a way to make money out of extraordinarily cheap housing but actually it does require quite a bit of investment (have seen it done in Australia before).
Basically you buy *every* property in a small street then end the leases for all existing tenants (in a legal and reasonable way) and after they have left rebuild all the houses (and later be very fussy about the new tenants that you let move in).
If you can do that well (and the street is not surrounded by other bad streets) then there is a good chance you can create a nicer new street for people to live in that will actually attract people to it (and then eventually reap the rewards as the property values increase).
It isn't without risk and it isn't so cheap but it has a much better chance than buying a single property in an area that already has severe problems with crime and bad tenants.
But if the taxes are too high then even this approach might not work (so sometimes what look like "bargains" are actually very far from it).
This could work in Detroit if the property taxes were not inflated. You could buy up neighboring bad blocks and knock em down for open space (and crime reduction) as well if you we're properly taxed for the actual value of the land. If the area turned around you could build new houses on the empty lots. Either that or just demolish a block or two and farm it next spring and that would generate a lot of cash money at farmer's markets while also help the community, which is what this city really needs. I live 30 mins west outside Detroit in a semi-rural area and the farm a few miles south of me has an open stand which is busy all day long. They easily make a couple hundred per day minimum so multiply that by product and the few months when ripe produce is available. Just an idea as I know that there is some urban farming going on down there. Or you could run a co-op where certain people put in the work as far as farming and then they get a cut of the yields and the rest is sold.

My buddy used his android BTC app for constantly monitoring his account and somehow it got rooted and he got cleaned out. On a different note, is Blackberry going to be coming out with an app cause I've noticed that they offer the best security features of all smartphones.
