6041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: January 07, 2020, 10:41:16 AM
I'm interesting with this token but I want to know more, because we know a couple coin or token project based on gold said that the price will same with world gold price but apparently not.

Well those coins weren't stablecoin so apparently the volatility associated with all cryptocurrency affect the price of the coins. Manipulation and loss of interest from current and potential investors contributed to the down fall of those project and off course, most of them were disguise scam profiting from the hype that was associated with gold backed projects. Understand again, Gold token is a stablecoin meaning you can be assured of a fixed price backed be real Gold as explained on the website.

Just like any tradable assets or currency, the price of Gold token on an exchange is totally dependant on the trading activities of that exchange that's why the price differs on various exchange although within a certain price range. The external exchange listing were introduced to increase awareness and adoption of the stablecoin. You can always used the inbuilt exchange on the website if you feel the price on the exchanges doesn't suit you or it's been manipulated. Other stablecoin also experience price difference on different exchange based on how active the market is, on that exchange.

6043  Other / Meta / Re: From reading your old posts how have you changed since arriving here? on: January 07, 2020, 05:39:13 AM
After reading your post, I took sometime to examine myself and I must say I have changed completely. I went searching through past post record and I noticed my very first post plus most posts on the 1st & 2nd page of my post history has been edited by me to trash (delete) meaning obviously the post weren't contributing anything positive to the forum. That's not surprising since I didn't start quite well on the forum, most of my early posts are nothing to write home about but I got better, improving on my post quality (english and construction) as my involvement on the forum increased.

Judging from others recent reaction to my posts, from the DMs of acknowledgement of the impact of my threads, to them seeking for permission to translate some of my works (threads). I guess I'm doing something right and on the right track. But if I was to point out one major difference it has to be my English. Although it's not yet perfect, I'm observing some major improvement.
6044  Other / Meta / Re: Did You Ever Send Merits In Error? on: January 07, 2020, 04:01:57 AM
Do the Merits sent by others affect your decision?

Kinda does, although my personal decisions are always final. Sometimes when I see a post that obviously due to the users reputation is likely to recieve more attention and probably get more amount of merits and also I'm not having much smerit on me, I just skipped but if such post is undermerited, it gets some contributions from me. My meriting number depends totally on the amount of smerits I have. When I have sufficient smerit my merit number increases but when I have insufficient smerits I don't merit above 1 per post.

On other occasions, a post that has been merited get my attention especially when they're replies in unnoticeable areas like Altcoin discussion threads. I'll be like, what has this user contributed that's worth been merited and most times the post also gets merited by me due to its quality. Therefore merit sent by others affects my decision in both ways (on the first occasion, I skip because the post is on a more visible area for others to see and I'm not having sufficient smerit on me while the other, I got attracted due to the fact, the post has been previously merited). The work of a MS isn't an easy one lol.

<***>
Congratulations on being a MS and thank you for the explanation.

Not one of the recent sources though thanks, been a MS for like 5/7 months plus or so. You're welcome, we're having a discussion so explanation are always welcome Instead of going straight to the point sometimes lol.
6045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing again after winning a reasonable action? on: January 07, 2020, 02:15:58 AM
In trading, most of the time we try to buy cryptocurrency and if we think we have profit, we sell it and wait for the market to decline for us to start buying again. But in gambling, is it still advisable to play games after we win huge amount of crypto?

Well for starters, you shouldn't relate gambling to cryptocurrency trading unless what you think trading is, has to do with the randomly selecting of crypto coins to invest in without any prior knowledge of trading and when it comes out successfully, the individual thinks he's a pro trader. Trading is a skill that can be perfected on, meaning you can deploy a strategy that works every time you apply it. That's why you can apply them time without numbers and it works for you and can also be taught to others and they get same result when they apply the trading startegy.

But when it comes to gambling, it totally depends on luck and no two individuals luck is the same. While it's recommendable to keep on trading when previous trades were successful probably to perfect the strategy, I don't think you should do same with gambling as it might just be a death trap waiting to feed on your greed to punish you. When gambling do have a budget m, that way you won't over gamble, don't be greedy, be satisfied with your wins and save for other gambling days ahead. That's my opinion.
6046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 07, 2020, 01:58:05 AM
Liverpool will focus on the champions league and maybe Klopp will take the decision to rest main players when playing versus Tottenham on Tottenham stadium. it's a good chance for Mourinho.

I doubt that'll be the case, Liverpool won't mind trading the champions league for the premier league title that they desperately want. Don't forget, they have been champions of Europe on numerous occasions already. I'm quite sure the manager would be aware of this by now. Nevertheless, Liverpool currently are capable of winning both leagues, they're already the potential champions of England so defending their champions league title will just make the season, a never forgettable one since they have already won "The UEFA supper cup and FIFA club world cup". It's quite amazing how still change the moment you start winning, remember 2 years ago Klopp had no trophy with Liverpool.

Mourinho Tottenham won't be the same without kane so him been injured have taken the competition out of the game. Although even with him playing Liverpool would had still been the favorite to win but Kane presence with addition to Mourinho been a tourmenter of Liverpool in the premier league, the game would had been a must watch but guess this will just be an easy workover for Liverpool. Easy three points secured. Prediction: 2-1 in favour of Liverpool.
6047  Other / Meta / Re: Did You Ever Send Merits In Error? on: January 06, 2020, 04:29:38 PM
Before the system was fixed (i.e meriters won't be able to merit same post with exact smerit amount within 60 seconds interval), I encountered the double spending issue on numerous occasions as a result of slow connect in my region (Africa) due to my browser just reloading itself but haven't experience same outcome due to the restriction. I also observe if you mistakenly input a figure after the 0 when you want to send smerit, it doesn't affect the amount you intend sending. Noticed that since I have made such mistake before.

Either last month or so, few seconds before I received my monthly allocations I initiated a transaction that unknowingly was more than the earned smerit I had in my account. I was hopefully for the error message to cancel the transaction but suddenly saw the transaction went successfully. Immediately I thought it was a gitch in the system and was about reporting before I recalled it was my MS refilling date.
6048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: January 06, 2020, 12:42:06 PM
Hello @GOLD_official i have some inquiring concerning the used of your inbuilt exchange on website, last time I used the exchange and was asked for my bitcoin address, i tried inputting my segwit bitcoin address (bitcoin address starting with bc1) but the system didn't recognize it as a bitcoin address. It was a frustrating experience as I had to use an exchange wallet to recieve my bitcoin (which is something I hate doing).

Why don't the exchange system recognize segwit addresses? It's more convenient to use than legacy address and is there any plan to accept this in future? Most reputed exchanges are already accepting segwit address to contribute to the adoptions of the technology since it has more advantage when compared with a legacy address like less transaction/miners fees.
6049  Other / Meta / Re: Does this tread really deserve the attention it has got? on: January 06, 2020, 11:16:27 AM
Is that case true here that there are no post available that are worth for merits? I can search worth threads and show, even the OP if there thread I shared has very good post in his past that would have been considered right? Do you @hacker1001101001 really think that this thread was worth it. I felt that the tread I shared is over rated.

Seems you're still new to how things are been done here, most times sources don't have the time to review post to post of quality contributors so they just decide to award merit to a particular post not minding the amount sent. The user in question have done quite well for himself in such a short period of time therefore him recieving that amount of merit isn't something we show be debating about. He's a decent users and has lots of decent posts.

He isn't the first user to recieve such amount of merit on a congratulations post, numerous users have recieve same or even more amount of merit and future users are likely to recieve if only they'll be willing to put in work and contribute positively to the forum. Understand that, the merit sent on a self congratulation threads are mostly as a motivation to continue thy good work of contributing positively to the forum, it doesn't means such threads deserve the number of merit they get but the user do deserve the merit due to their previous works (posts) that must have gone unnoticed.
6050  Other / Meta / Re: 50 merit for an non-contribute topic on: January 06, 2020, 06:53:38 AM
Merited post:
I need to track down a thief who stole coins from me. I will have his full ID and address soon.

Need PI and a though guy..

Archived: http://archive.is/vgSCz

If you ask for my opinion, I would say this is mocking the system (assuming both users aren't connected in some manner) and this transaction should be reversed immediately. I see people struggle to rank up while been very productive yet users like this make their effort look useless. The post isn't worthy of even 1 merit talk more of 50 and assuming one could send more than 50 merit per month to particular users, the user would had probably gotten more.

I know the merit issue is very subjective but come on guys cases like this that involves large amount of merit shouldn't be overlooked. This is obviously a misused of the system and it shouldn't be encouraged considering the post been merited isn't even a quality (contributive) post. Seems this most have been an airdropped smerits which again bring about the discussion, all Airdropped smerit that haven't been used upto now should be decayed to minimize scenario like this from reoccuring.

We should have a report button for cases like this (large merit abuse) so the adminstrator can investigate and probably reverse the transaction).

Soon both accounts will be banned or at least will get negative trust.

This isn't an offense worthy of ban (they haven't broken any forum rules which consequences is getting banned), we're also discourage from leaving negative feedbacks on users account for behaviors that doesn't involve trust like spamming, merit abuse etc best solution would be a reversal of the transaction by theymos.

Ps: Can @LoyceV get his demerit source status already to tackle issues like this.
6051  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Crypto Marketet Is Dumping Drastically !! on: January 05, 2020, 05:22:40 PM
Thats how smart contract is all about , You invest You Hold for the project to become successful .. But selling token at early stage collapse project and draw out investor from the project . Most token and coin are dropped up to 82% down because investor are expecting quick Again !!! Let Hold !!!!!

Don't just put the blame on bounty hunters or investors who were privilege to invest in the project at an early stage and got a decent discounts (bonuses). A good project can always find a way to survive irrespectively of previous patronizers selling their tokens since the project will always attract new Investors or existing Investors who'll be willing to buy the sold coin/tokens.

The blame should be focus more on the newly launched project because they get treated the way they advertise themselves, projects this days promise Investors huge return without even having a working product. They advertise themselves as quick sources of income, just to sell their products and attractive investors. Their patronizers (Investors and promoters) bought into that ideology that's why you see them selling at any chance possible to cashout profit.

You speak of hodling, well it's just foolishness if you had a shitproject token and decided to hodl when you're fully aware some other shitproject will come replace the current one in the soonest time possible since all the so called new projects do is recycle idea to cash in on the hype associated with cryptocurrency crowdfunding like IEO, ICO etc.
6052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Hypocrisy Behind Facebook Banning Crypto Ads on: January 05, 2020, 08:32:01 AM
I am still curious about what will happen next on their Libra, could Libra help Bitcoin or cryptocurrency be more popular and lure mass adoption?

Don't think the Libra project will come into existence, most of its major partners are already pulling out of their partnership and the senate isn't making it easier for Mark and his project. Supposedly, Libra finally gets launched, I don't still think it'll be of any threat to bitcoin, i mean it's just another stablecoin out there like the like of USDT, etc.

USDT from recent statistics is already been traded than bitcoin but that doesn't mean it'll a threat since they offer different opportunities. Libra can't he used as an investment vehicle and isn't decentralized but bitcoin can and it's decentralized and that'll be the biggest advantage bitcoin will have over Libra. The projects that'll be in danger are stablecoin since Libra will definitely dominate that market.

If they do launch successfully, it won't take long before Facebook Libra exposes themselves of their shady practice like USDT and losses the trust the community will have in them then their patronizers will understand the opportunities bitcoin offers, they'll understand the freedom and control over your finances that bitcoin provides. At the end bitcoin will always triumphant.
6053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling on Mobile Devices on: January 05, 2020, 05:15:14 AM
Have you ever gambled from your mobile device (preferably smartphone)?

If you happen to know of good Android apps which allow you gamble with crypto, please let me know. Also, feel free to share your experience when gambling using a mobile device. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

Is there anything someone can't do with their smartphone these days? The world is involving and very soon we might not need some big computerized gadget like laptop etc anymore as smartphone would be capable of operating in all manners a laptop can. I can't remember the last time I used one (probably because I don't have one), speaking of laptop.

My smartphone is what I used when ever I'm interested in engaging in any activity online must especially gambling. Apart from the free gambling apps that pays you in valueless coins or money just to have fun,, I haven't gambled with any App although the mobile version of the gambling sites is what I always used to access the gambling platform.

Here are the current top five yellow caps for those interested:

Well I celebrated the goal (was worth the celebration) irrespective of it been against my club, it was an awesome one and came, will I said, at the right moment because it give the Brighton fans and players relief & hope that they could probably win the game and if not for two brilliant saves from Kepa, that would had been the case.

About the yellow cap stuff and prize, i thought those that'll recieve reward will be based on who gets the highest yellow caps after conclusion of the tournament? I have won the cap like twice or so although performing badly on the pool, I was hopefully on a consolation there 😭 that's disappointing. So it'll be all about the points and not the number of times you won the yellow cap

Lols on the pic from Africa. I have had the pleasure of playing football in East Africa... pitches are rock hard and players are tough as nails,
<***>

Well I get this experience week in week out, on each of our training (exercising) games. Kinda used to it though and most home made African players or players who participants in Africa tournaments are used to or getting used to it, that's why physicality is one of the attribute of an African player. (When life gives you lemon, you make lemonade lol).
6055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 03, 2020, 11:13:38 AM

Here is an example from somewhere in Africa, maybe FA should learn from technically superior setups
<***>
Please note the guy with pump action shotgun making sure everybody is happy with decisions and prevents peeking Smiley

Funny but it was more effective than the VAR ruining the fun/goal celebrations associated with the premier league. Actually the referee gave the penalty he initially missed and everyone was fine with the decision. Off course the guy with the shotgun played a viral role lol. We (Africa) will get there someday for now we're just enjoying what we gat and hopefully the future will be better.

Back on topic: I was just too offset to come drop my view after the disappointing game we had against Brighton on the 1st. Imagine struggling to maintain a draw in a game you went up with one goal advantage in just 10 minutes and had 80 more minutes plus additional times to double your lead but no we allowed Brighton to get something out of the match and if not for Tottenham and Manchester United poor performance, our advantage would had been reduced to just 3 and 2 points respectively. (speaking of the top 4 spot).

Lampard should try his best to get a world class striker to compliment (assist) Abraham since the transfer window is open and our ban has already been lifted. Without this the second half of the season would be disastrous. This inconsistency needs to stop, imagine winning against Arsenal (at their home) and almost losing to Brighton the very next game. That's just poor.
6056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 03, 2020, 09:58:06 AM
Watford players seems to have regained their confidence since they beat Manchester United in front of their home fans, Watford have already managed to win 3 games out of 4 matches played, I guess there is still some chance for Watford to fight for survival in the English Premier League this season if they could maintain their current form.

They alway had it in them, they weren't paying that badly in my opinion but were just poor when it comes to the last three which was causing them to lack goals and without goals you can't win games. I love the fact too they're getting more confidence with in-box movement and finishes which present an opportunity to the bitcoin logo of sportsbet to get more audience from goal celebrations. The new coach "Nigel Pearson" is definitely doing something right, just hope this winning run continues and not just some honeymoon experience by a new coach.

Liverpool on the other hand are looking like invincible champions but we have games like that against José Mourinho's Tottenham to test their ability considering Mourinho always has a way of ruining Liverpool's plans and immediately after that they'll face Manchester United which although their previous game was disappointing, so far are the only team able to stop Liverpool from taking all 3 points from a game.
6057  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there any trading chat rooms? on: January 02, 2020, 06:44:56 AM
Competition is one of the best sources of motivation. So i'm wondering if there are any relevant trading groups. Discord/telegram or something like that?

Yes definitely, there are numerous of them but you have to be cautious when selecting the one to join to avoid scenario like getting scammed or finding out you just ended yourself in a pump and dump group disguise as a training platform for cryptocurrency traders. There are some common attribute you should look out for to avoid joining the wrong group, if the group is filled with predictions of coins to buy or sell, when to sell or buy etc then such group isn't actually training hee patronizers to be a trader instead just a pump and dump group.

The real training groups would hardly drop speculation on coins to buy or sell instead it'll focus on developing you into becoming a independent trader that won't depend on signals to profit, teaching you how to apply different strategy to profit from every market condition. Most of this group aren't free since the creators know they're actually passing something valuable to their patronizers.
6058  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the general issues/problems do traders or investors usually face during on: January 02, 2020, 06:33:33 AM
What are the challenges, regular issues or problems for the traders or investors during investing? Security, High Risk, Scammers, Hackers etc. can be the problems. What do you think?

Happy new year to you too, in my opinion I think the main problems comes from the exchange themselves. Issues like hacking aren't much of an avoided incident since the exchange don't have much of a control to avoid such incidents from occuring but when it comes to token/coins listing, that area the exchange has totally control on listing only quality and legitimate projects to minimize the risk associated with investing or trading cryptocurrency since scam projects are the main cause of loss in the industry.

The fake project listing issue can also be categories under the security problem you mentioned so as hack etc. If the exchanges could focus more on eliminating the problem they have control over or minimizing the rate at which such problem cause their customers to loss their funds then the experience associated with investing or trading cryptocurrency will improve and probably draw in more enthusiasts (Investors, traders).
6059  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I need 5 sources of revenue to generate $200 each per month - Ideas? on: January 01, 2020, 11:19:36 AM
My suggestion would had revolves around you monetizing your passion but since I don't know what you enjoy doing, I'll drop some suggestions which might be of help that's if you're still interested or others might find them useful. Firstly the forum has given us a great privilege by allowing us to monetize our signature so if you have passion in engaging in discussion, answering questions and putting out your ideas out there, you can enroll in a signature campaign, that might be the easiest way to make the amount you wrote in OP or even more depending on the quality of your posts.

Seconding, assuming you're good at trading and very profitable, after from trading for self gains, you can monetize that passion by engaging in video blogging through other alternative video hosting sites that are cryptocurrency friendly since YouTube isn't that crypto friendly where you pass on your knowledge to the new generation of traders coming into the pace and get paid for that. You can also engage your audience through telegram group or channel. Now I'm not talking about pump and dump group but genuine trading groups where you teach other traders how to profit using your trading strategies.

Thirdly if you're that knowledgeable on cryptocurrency you can go into coaching either strictly online or organized seminars and meet up where you engage with potential cryptocurrency enthusiast to pass on your knowledge. Now this shouldn't be about predicting coins they should or shouldn't invest in but instead educating them so they can make their financial decisions themselves. etc
6060  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What’s Stopping Crypto Markets from Entering the Mainstream on: January 01, 2020, 11:00:32 AM
The biggest enemy of bitcoin is non other then bitcoin itself. Nobody is stopping bitcoin rather bitcoin itself don’t wanna enter mainstream adoption. See the price of bitcoin that is changing 24/7/365 in abrupt manner. Do you think if price of bitcoin remain like that anyone will accept it as payment option?

Nobody will purposely plan for themselves to fail likewise no technology especially when its greatest wish is to succeed by dominating their respective industry. Bitcoin isn't its biggest enemy instead the greedy Investors and those we might consider them to be stakeholders in the industry like whales, exchanges etc, are the biggest enemy of the technology. A closer look at the market and you can easily observe the level of manipulation ongoing from direct manipulation (bot trading, volume fixing aka exchange manipulation) to indirect manipulation cause by fud spread by news media to cause panic among the community resulting to investors losing hope and sell to avoid losses.

All this are what's contributing to the huge price difference, the so called influencer aren't helping matter as their greed overshadow their passion for the success of the industry. They openly support scams been either by been partners or advisors to shady projects, using their fame and reputation to decieve gullible Investor/noobs which give the industry a negative reviews when this projects turns out to be scam. Until we have found a way to eliminate the need of giving powers to selective few companies to dictate what happens in the industry by manipulating it like the like of exchanges, wallet providers etc. The technology won't success and probably go mainstream.
