Hey guys, i need a bit of help with something. Im trying to figure out how to get end of pow phase info from client, does anyone know how to do that ? There is one altcoin that was supposed to end its pow phase, but pow blocks keep going, and i want to know is that due to some error or what. I cant get in touch with dev so ..
Any help is welcome, thanks
Check the source. These are usually in main.h or main.cpp

There is no point in dumping your 10k.
You get an avg 25% stake. Let's say you hold 1000 10k.
Stake should give you 1000 10k in just 4 days. Every single day you stake them after those 4 days is free money.
If you just dump your initial 1000 10k's, you get the same reward, but nothing more.
I prefer a steady daily reward instead of dumping my coins and having a one time reward.
This is only preferable if price stays the same. I prefer constant rewards too, but I was in when HYP jumped to $0.03 per, and now it's at $0.005. My 2 BTC worth is now worth .1 BTC. Maybe I'm being clouded by previous past experiences, but knowing markets, once the price gets high enough people are bound to cash out eventually. Bad comparison

Node count is not important. Network stake weight is. Taking down nodes with huge network stake weight will affect it, yes, but the more distributed the stake weight the better. Thousands of nodes are useless when they are responsible for pennies, especially in a system like that, since it's not even conventional decentralized PoS to begin with

Everyone currently mining on the MMXIV MultiPool just got a bonus 0.5 MMXIV for mining this weekend.
More to come!
let get this...this coin can be stake and mined pos? and pow? pure PoS now, multipool buying MMXIV buying...and then staking together? how does that work? details? http://pool.mmxivcoin.com/faqIs this for real? Altcoin markets are driven by supply and demand. Our objective with this multipool is to create consistent demand on markets for the payout coin. This is accomplished by a variety of methods which we are constantly working to improve. We select the most profitable altcoins using a sophisticated algorithm and use the proceeds to buy the payout coin on the market, creating buy pressure and driving the price higher. Leverage automated trading practices that maximize profits of the hash we receive resulting in more coin paid out to miners
How will I get paid for mining? We make trades with mined coins, buy the payout coin and make payments directly to the your coin wallet address used once per day. Details of your shares, hashrate and transaction history are provided on your miner page which also includes profitability estimates based on current market prices. Try us for a few days and you'll see how well it works Please note: the code for doing trades is still under development, and payouts may not happen everyday. Also, if there haven't been enough blocks found to justify doing trades, the shift will go longer to have a better payout for all miners on that shift

So I'm slightly confused with max stake age.. It says 16 days in the OP but what's the right approach here? Some people are moving coins daily?
as soon as you start getting a couple 0 stakes in a row send the coins to your self to reset them I haven't got any 0 stakes yet So iGotSpots are we to move the coins in one big lump? Is that to stress test the POS block chain against difficulty spikes when large sums of POS coins are moved or are you needing lots of inputs and so then to resend the coins in two or three large batches? I've started with a few batches of 500 and just asking for when it gets time for me to reset coinage. I move mine in as big of chunks as possible

I have an solution for splitting the blockes! Check my wallet: http://balls.blockexplorer.cc/address/SjNQy7avCu6nySQtHQK4azoNnxwt2ZYhDbI Bought some extra BALLS two days ago when price was cheap and splited the Withdrawals into 25k portions. This morning I did a few payments to myself of 12.5K and now my investment is spreaded over more blockes. If some more people do this after they recieved their stake a better distribution of the BALLS in the wallets is establisched. So people pay yourself some BALLS in small portions to make blockchain more stable. Correct. I suggest at least 1 transaction per day over 8 days. Then you will stake daily. He meant automated splits in the code like MMXIV and 10k have Thanks, I hope more people send some BALLS to their own wallet to make the blockchain more smooth. They do and received stakes... It's all good with Snowballs! Still works properly, just a bit slower is all

so first launch one guy got 900 blocks so we had to relaunch cant have that shit, second launch devs buddy gets 5000 blocks, yeah thats all cool no need to relaunch LOL!!! SCAM!!!!!!avoid this fucker folks this is just a cash grab for the dev and his buddies (that apparently dont know how to run a pool) this is just dump city from timC just as soon as there is enough buy orders. you have been warned.
TimC has nothing to do with us. We launched several tests chains, yes, and they were known as tests

Stake weight across the network is through the roof with blocks averaging around 30s

Any thoughts on a multipool for 10k like you set up for MMXIV and Balls?
I've mentioned it to ThePeePs
|
|
|
Recommended 10k to cryptsy and Bleutrade today, I see serious volume in this coins future.
10k would be alright on Cryptsy since it's probably too fast for them to stake, but I doubt they will add it for personal reasons

I've been bugging Bter, but we need more people to request it there for them to listen. Fuck the voting list, MMXIV has earned a direct add to all reputable exchanges

Hey @iGotSpots
Please could you release a simple wallet like what you did for 10k coin for MMXIV please?
My little atom pc that I have running my wallets is starting to struggle with MMXIV, its using a lot of ram and CPU. Well more RAM than CPU.
If you could that would be amazing...
We have one: https://github.com/C2MMXIV/MMXIV

Addnodes are in like the third reply if you need them
|
|
|
Tracked my staking % last 12 hours, EXACTLY 27.3% daily avg., amazingly precise Yep, with sub 30 second blocks on average and no problems or concerns with forks
|
|
|
Awesome, thanks a ton. I've been trying to get MMXIV some attention in China to get added to Bter or btc38 so this will definitely help get some people to migrate over to both, hopefully

Announcements Staking starts right away Mining continues until Block 100,000 I would've preferred no mining at all, but this was the fair way to distribute the initial supply slowly enough to transition into Pure PoS smoothly Stake weight is nearly triple the total supply right now so everything is working flawlessly
|
|
|
Nope pow ended yesterday at block 100,000 staking only now. ive been getting more 10k staking than i was actually mining lol
That's the point. Create enough incentive to hold
|
|
|
so theres approx only 150,000 right now? it will be interesting to see the % of coins being staked in the coming weeks/months. anyone good at math and wants to make some educated guesstimates on what the money supply will be in 30 days or 6 months?
edit: I think dropping the pos % down by 1000% every 30 days or something might help keep the coin supply from getting crazy...
And lower incentive to hold, resulting in a BALLS style dump I just looked at BALLS for the first time, did it's price dive once the the % rate came back down? I'm intrigued for sure by 10k it's deff a cool experiment. Yes, and during the protocol switch that will not go live in MMXIV or 10k
