I'm sticking with Arsenal as the favorite for now. By far the most stable team of all remaining teams in this league. Yes, they had a hard time against Sporting, but they could have won that match. And Juventus is certainly not there yet either, they achieved a 1-0 victory in the home game at Rennes, but that is of course not convincing at all. Juventus could well be eliminated I think. And then we have United. they have of course taken a big step towards the quarter-finals with the 4-1 victory, I don't see Real Betis winning 3 or 4-0 against United at home. And then let's see what the draw will bring us next week.
Arsenal is playing extremely well this season shouldn't be underated. Their attacking style of play and how clinical they are in front of goal since the start of the season is magical and I think it is the reason why some people are rooting for them to win the Europa League this season. However, I don't see Arsenal as the favourite team that should be winning the Europa League at the end of the season. Arsenal are more concerned in the domestic league than the European second tier cup and that's why I think either of Juventus or Manchester United will win the Europa League. |

Monaco had to accept defeat at home against Reims in today's match with a narrow score of 0-1. Statistically the two teams actually played a draw, but Reims took the lead through a goal scored by Balogun in the 51st minute and closed the victory for Reims until the game was over. With this result Monaco must remain in 4th place in the standings and only 3 points away from Lens.
It was really a hard one to swallow. Monaco at home wasn't impressive. The left the whole dominance to Reims, both the possession and attempts. If not for the drop down in their performance, they would be ahead of Lenz in the top 3 standing. I wouldn't believe Monaco will find it hard to locate the back of the net even in their home, after a awful results in their last 4 matches. I honestly think that player is going to make a bad decision if he does not choose money over loyalty. After all, he is a professional footballer. So he should always be thinking about getting paid well. But there is always a chance of him going to a table that is not good but rich.
So, if he just can avoid certain bad decisions, the professional talented football player is going to end up having a huge amount of money in his bank account. I personally will prefer Osimhen to move to another club that will pay him better and also has a good team. But I sure hope that it is not going to be Manchester City.
I feel Osimhen will definitely chose money at some point even if not as soon as in the coming summer, young players these days prefer money to trophies. Napoli are a good side but I'm sure Osimhen has ambitions which most of them will be difficult to or cannot be achieved with Napoli in the near future. I don't see Osimhen making Manchester City, that one is very unlikely. Victor is supposed to be careful in his career now because I can say that he is playing the best game of his career and this should be the best opportunity he has in the transfer market. If he mistakenly blows up this opportunity. It may not come again. He should go for money because that is what the whole players go for even Ronaldo that has enough still looking for more money. It's a shame that Liverpool played at home to Real Madrid in the 1st leg. Easy win for lens team today, they made quick work of clerment and they beat them with a 4 0 score, they had a great first half which made the game so much easier, clerment team is almost safe from relegation so they might be lacking a bit on motivation but it seems that lens team will stay in the third position for now.
I believe it was all their game plan. The early hunger for goal made the match really tasteful and more exciting. That is how football is supposed to be played.there was no boring moment in the match cuz the early goal resurrected the two teams and they both played really well though Clermont was quite unlucky has they couldn't keep to a good defensive fall back while they all go out to net an equalising goal. On Seeing how Leece started the fight to have the first win after a long journey of Two matches no win, I was thinking it will probably end 1-1, until Antonio Sanabria netted a second goal. Still inconsistency performance from Liverpool in this season, after winning fantastic from Manchester United last match 7-0 and today have loss against Bournemouth. Liverpool's chances of being in 4th place seem even more difficult because in another match, Tottenham Hotspur managed to win over Nottingham Forest with a score of 3-1.
Current standing Liverpool behind six points from Tottenham Hotspur and have one match left, but Primer League schedule seems not arranged with all team not having the same games until right now, several teams have played 27 games but still have other teams with 24 games. Possibility current standing will change later after all postponed match start.
Liverpool seems to have no chance to finish in 4th place if they cannot play well consistently. Man United definitely wants the Europa League title because they haven't won a trophy in quite a while and this season they have a good chance to make it happen. Even though the European League is their concern but I think Man United will still fight as hard as they can in the Premier League because they also have a target to get a place in the Champions League next season. The defeat to Liverpool was indeed an obstacle, but I think they will learn a lesson from it.

Augsburg couldn't stop Bayern Munich and they had to lose with a score of 5-3. Actually, Augsburg was surprised when they were able to score a quick goal in the 2nd minute, but Bayern Munich was able to reply to 4 goals in the first half so the score was 4-1 at halftime. . We know Augsburg was not a strong team to beat Bayern Munich or even take one single point from this game if you consider the recent performance of both teams and compare together during the last games they had, but still, the performance of Bayern Munich was totally impressive to me because they had a hard game against PSG a few days ago I was expecting to see they don't have enough stamina for this game while the could easily win the game and take the three important points from it to keep racing with Dortmund. They really have serious problems on several fronts. They are sometimes able to apply strategy and play optimally. but sometimes they lose their chance and just throw it away. Their motivation is still fluctuating and their performance is also very inconsistent. However, they must have learned from this defeat. It's still a bit difficult for them to break into the top 4 if they keep this up After Liverpool's demolition of Manchester United last weekend coupled with their good results in recent weeks, I was one of the people who thought they were seriously going to fight for the 4th place position. But I had to have a rethink earlier today after they were defeated by Bournemouth while Tottenham won against Nottingham Forest. That defeat I think has shattered any hope of Liverpool finishing in any spot higher than 5th position at the end of the season. And if they play with the same tempo they played earlier today in midweek against Real Madrid, they'll suffer a more severe defeat than the one they inflicted on Man U last weekend. |
