6061  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Is there any bulk suppliers of amazon gift cards? At high discounts? on: November 24, 2014, 03:03:54 AM
This is a risk you shouldn't take unless you're dealing with small amounts.
6062  Economy / Service Discussion / Now that GAW is in deep shit, let's speculate on: November 24, 2014, 12:41:28 AM
Some background:
CEO of GAW miners went on a public rant trying to promote his new venture saying that they had partnerships with big companies like Target, Amazon, and Walmart... This was followed by a bounch of other such statements.

Coinfire covered this, stating the obvious. That he was outright lying.

Here's an archived version of a catched page containing the article:
https://archive.today/gCnQW

Why a catched version? Hours after the article went public, It caused a lot of people to be furious. Coinfire was hacked and people started thinking it was GAW that hacked into the website.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2n71hm/coinfire_hacked/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2n7c9r/coinfire_publishes_article_with_details_about_gaw/

Apparently "GAWCEO" didn't really do much to defend his company against those accusations. He went on to say that the alexa rank of coinfire wasn't important enough for them to care about it. But guess what, the hashtalk post where he said that is now down as well.

Read the comments in those two posts. There's a good chance they'll make you want to laugh at GAW and Josh. People have started realising what's going on, and since Paycoin was supposed to be the next big thing, it's certainly not off to a good start. Not to mention all those marketing efforts to overhype it being thrown to the dumpster.

What's after this? Do you think this is a situation the scheme GAW has built can survive? Or they done fucked up for good?

COINSPARTNERS.COM could easily be a directory/review for affiliate programs. I haven't found a website doing this and I'm pretty sure that there could be some demand.
6065  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Hashie.co - Cloud Mining from 0.0012 BTC / GH | NEW: AMHash | FREE 10 GH on: November 20, 2014, 06:38:34 AM
AMHash's fee is ~35% at the moment. Tongue Probably 1.633$ per terrahash seems a little but it's in fact 35% of the earnings. It's still probably one of the most decent cloudmining deals you can get right now but don't just rush out and buy loads of hash withrout doing the math first.
6066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SNAPCHAT allows users to send money (through square)... on: November 20, 2014, 06:24:18 AM
Snapchat is not secure. I saw the video and kept laughing for about a minute. Snapchat is one of the most downloaded messaging applications yet it fails to deliver even foundamental security to it's suers.

The google playstore installs alone are ~500 million. But the developers just can't get their shit together. There are several serious functionality and compatibility bugs with the app that were never actually fixed. "Snaps" are supposed to be permanently deleted after a set time, but in the past a database was hacked and thousands of people had their personal images and videos stolen and leaked on the internet in an event called the snappening. Snapchat blamed the incident on third party apps but they never explained how the user data was actually obtained. This incident  demonstrated how badly snapchat is constructed, and that it doesn't even provide it's users with fundamental protection and privacy. And now they went on to create a money transaction service? This isn't even what it was designed for. I can't see how this functionallity would gain any traction from a demographic that mostly consists of teenagers.

This must be the least secure, most useless and inconvinient way to tranfer money. And most people don't seem to like it either. Maybe this will be the start of snapchat's downfall. There are better messaging apps that deserve more attention out there anyway.

Someone made a program to notify about BiPolarBob's posts, that can be adapted to other users too.

It must be somewhere in the marketplace

You must be talking about this

6069  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Minecraft Accounts for $1 LIFETIME WARRANTY BULK DEALS on: November 19, 2014, 01:52:03 PM
The account I got was legit and working. I was able to login normally. All smooth. Also the waranity seems simple and effective. For this price, I'd recomend this service to anyone. Buying bulk seems like the way to go. Smiley
6070  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: November 19, 2014, 03:48:23 AM

avicii, try it again with a bigger amount. Work your way up to 10 BTC. I'm sure they'll pay attention then. If it doesn't work anymore, well, then, at least we know it got fixed.

THis could have easily been an html "insert element" edit. No reason to give this credibility if they say state they have ficed the problem he reported already.
6071  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Minecraft Accounts for $1 LIFETIME WARRANTY BULK DEALS on: November 17, 2014, 11:24:40 AM
Ok I'm willing to vouch for this service. Can you provide details on the warranty though?

6073  Other / Meta / As expected, the Russian board tuned into a HYIP payment proof spam dumpster on: November 17, 2014, 09:59:29 AM
Have a look here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=832620.0;topicseen

A post about a HYIP (technically a ponzi scheme) is getting filled with payment proofs. Most of which come from newly generated accounts. This kind of replies are the most spamy replies one can make. They take no effort to create whatsoever, hundreds of people could post them every day, they involve advertising spam and hidden referral links.

6074  Other / Meta / Re: How often does theymos go through the account recovery PMs? on: November 17, 2014, 09:46:56 AM
Stellar69 has yet to provide any valid proof. I wouldn't trust any of his claims against OP after so many proofs were provided by him.

And actually...
He implies that if an account has been sold then he will not recover the account back to the previous owner if he can tell that it was sold.

It's been said by mods that accounts will be recovered regardless. That's why buying accounts is always risky for the buyer. because if the seller has used an address in a PM, he'll be able to claim the account's ownership at any time.
6075  Economy / Goods / Re: More HOT SAUCE! on: November 17, 2014, 03:17:45 AM
I just placed my order. Smiley Can't wait to try atom splitter! Just out of curiosity, was I the first one to order from Greece?
6076  Economy / Goods / Re: More HOT SAUCE! on: November 17, 2014, 12:32:34 AM
I've heard good things about your sauces all over reddit. With this offer I decided I should actually buy one.

I tried your website right now actually, when I add a bottle to my cart and add Greece as the country It'll be shipped at it automatically reselects Domestic shipping after I hit update totals.

Should I proceed to checkout with domestic shipping selected?
6077  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Exotic woods from around the world with Bitcoin on: November 17, 2014, 12:01:13 AM
This must be the most unique offer I've seen.

I live in Greece, I can get you any kind of wood you can think of from here. We have some of the nicest olive trees where I live.
6078  Economy / Services / Re: I will pay you to print out btc posters and paste them around your town/city on: November 16, 2014, 08:27:11 PM
For the third time, I'm interested, but I want to know what the rates would be, so I can determine myself whether or not it'd be worth it. Stop ignoring my comments lol. Okay, it's not a scam, so tell us how much you're paying per poster

Give the guy some time... He's doing something good for bitcoin but he looks like a busy individual. No need to go into attack mode, just be patient and as he said he will eventually reply.
6079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Mining with cointellect.com is 45X more profitable than it should be on: November 16, 2014, 08:20:08 PM
I threw some high hashrate towards their pool for about an hour and as a result I got my payments locked and asking for my credit card number to unlock. Which is crazy... I got no response after emailing their support about this and the money wasn't even credited to my account.

Stay away from this.
6080  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: November 16, 2014, 06:48:19 PM
the Mine game doesnt like me , i always loose whenever i play big , i know its just a bad luck Tongue

Why surprised? it will let you play a long time with a smaller bets and when you think you are going good, you raise your bet, computer says "fuck you" and you lose. Right?

That's why provably fair gambling exists.
