6061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AMC Theatres Debuts Bitcoin Payments on: November 14, 2021, 06:33:04 PM
So still not really including anyone else new or widening access then, if it's only payments via PayPal (which itself actually still doesn't even have a physical Bitcoin wallet). So this is giving more business to them and PayPal, and not making any impact at all on Bitcoin network.

Still, could be fun to see all this Bitcoin-via-PayPal users next year once (if) the actual network-interacting wallet rolls out.

Which Blackjack game are you talking about precisely? The in-house provably fair one, a third party one or a live table game? I saw that Evolution Gaming has recently opened "Stake exclusive" blackjack live tables dedicated to players from Stake.

I must be blind but I can't find these. Where do you access those? I try to go to the Blackjack section and filter Evolution, only see 4 tables there.

I'm getting quite hooked to Evolution actually (well, not all but some of the games have excellent dealers/hosts) though these don't tend to be the branded ones. Lightning edition for roulette is pretty special if the host is good, and power/infinite blackjack can be smooth too if you catch the full dealer round of 30 mins.

P.S. Does live casino doesn't always load for most of you? It only does for me maybe 1 time out of 5 so I give up quickly.

I have a couple of questions .... firstly, can we see the "Favorite Leagues" feature in the foreseeable future? Every time I make a multi-bet, I spend a lot of time moving between leagues in the interface. Secondly, Is it realistic to see the function of sending money between players in perspective? Btw, In the interface of each individual match or event, only the statistics of the last several personal meetings are displayed. Is it possible to add data that includes statistics for years?
+1 and an even more important User Interface addition would be to customize markets per game. For instance eSports are set perfectly for me, match line and handicaps are available without having to enter under the game. But for football default is ML and under/over, I never play under/over and I play both to score very often. It would save me so much time if I could somehow see both to score on that first page instead of under/over. This way I have to enter under every single game and then return. Can get really annoying for big multi bets made up from games of several leagues.

Yeah, we've asked for this before I think (I want a way to mark favourites so I don't have to search for them under "Soccer".

And a markets view also helps, I generously pepper my 1x2 parlays with HT/FT and Asian handicaps, but the way the acca system is set up, you've to enter and exit each game and search. I do it as a by-thought now but would be very cool to have all kinds of filters to sort game (markets, league, period come to mind).

P.S. can't wait to see the exchange feature that accidentally popped up a couple of weeks ago heh.

Always curious about new sportsbooks but I'll hold off before trying. Going to need to see a lot of effort from OP to even come close to what forum already has!

I get the fixation on "8" in East Asia, since the number sounds like the word for luck. 4, on the other hand, is the unluckiest number, as it sounds a lot like the word for death.

So I can safely rule out this being an East Asian outfit. Ha!

your site is very simple and practical, i saw that on your site you wrote "Football" instead of "soccer", won't that confuse people? as I speak Portuguese, we always say: soccerl "but I see that for those who speak English they say "soccer", maybe you should put soccer on so that people don't get confused

Thought most English speakers except in the Americas say football, though Wink

So did I understand that there are no points penalties? I mean starting last and a paltry euro fine doesn't feel like it's enough deterrent for them to not do shit like that again...

And how about Bottas? I took a 55/10 on him winning fastest lap on the race but did not put big money on it (just Clubhouse freebies heh) so yeah I won but it does feel like I should have trusted my gut, now that the odds dropped to 44/10 after he won the sprint by over a second.

Enjoy the race in about 3 hours+!

It was an upset yesterday, but I didn't see what the odds were for Akai Ito. Very weird still to read a bit here and there, but the official results are here: https://japanracing.jp/_news2021/pdf/211114.pdf

@icopress not 100% sure I got you, but I have actually been betting very little the past week and a half, just taking specials and staying my hand and preparing for league football again. Feel like betting fatigue has hit me after some pretty horrendous losses haha. I did win Bottas bet yesterday for qualifying but it was only a tiny Clubhouse freebet =D

No 10/1+ special out today so no joy for me.
6067  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-11-12] Miami will hand out free Bitcoin to residents from profits on city on: November 14, 2021, 12:22:05 PM
Reward taxpayers, yeah I like that idea too. You contribute to your city's development, you share in the yields it brings. Don't know much about Miami but that's also where the El Salvador thing was announced, wasn't it?

Hey, who knows? Maybe the rich can be arsed to start paying taxes and get some Bitcoin back. Heh.
6068  Other / Off-topic / Re: New billionaire BITCOIN : 1000 BITCOIN! Holder is the Winner on: November 14, 2021, 09:58:59 AM
Even with the price of $200, you would need $200 000 for that investment, and something tells me that you wouldn't dare to invest even 10% of that amount in Bitcoin then (assuming you had it at all).

Yeah, this is why when people tell me they got in early and took the risk with tens of thousands of dollars 5 years ago, it doesn't impress me much. Cause if you're cool to invest that much money, then you're already wealthy and Bitcoin buys are just another investment for you.

Of course there are stories of people who went all in, my respects to them.

But the reality is, all these daring stories are really just stories of people in the right place and time, and with enough wealth to comfortably take risks.
6069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ecosystem’s weakness on: November 13, 2021, 06:10:14 PM
If they ban it or regulate it, this presently shows a weakness in the bitcoin ecosystem.
Bangladesh banned bitcoin many years ago and Japan, El Salvador, and a lot of other countries adopted bitcoin. Neither showed "weakness in bitcoin ecosystem", this one is no different.

I'd say it would be a weakness if Bitcoin mining couldn't be banned by any country. I like all this news about bans and blocks and sanctions, which continues to tell me that governments and states and legislators still cannot understand how Bitcoin works, and that lets me know I'm still a relatively early adopter.

Anyway, this is all targetted at commercial farms. Not blanket ban on the act of mining.

If Sweden one day brings to court an indie guy for mining crypto, they'll be the laughing stock of Scandinavia.

@3meek This Teemu Pukki guy man. If he can't score, he shows up for an assist. Weird he can still get his name on goal involvements at international level AND Championship football but can't do anything much in Premier League. In fact, give him a penalty at internationals and he can't score haha.

Anyway, I expect one of the favourites to underwhelm tonight after Poland and England blew their opponents away last night.

And even some weird fancy horse racing that is tempting me to pick Clavel or the Japanese horse ha!
They are all Japanese horses Smiley Clavel is out of the question since it is just a name. If I am horse betting I am always going to place a bet on some funny name.
Now if there was no odds I would pick hands down Lei Papale which means something like Hey Daddy, Akaitorino musume is lame name (daughter of red bird) and the last one means something like The miracle of Izu. So only favorite for me no way I am betting on that low odds.

I am not betting on horses but I got some money once on a horse called something like "big fat cow" @30 odds and once more on "Turtle fast", don't remember the odds but they were around 10 maybe.

I just made my first-ever horse-racing bet (actually there are number games and sweepstakes lottery back home I used to play in the early 2000s that are actually based on the numbers of winning horses in the 3-weekly races but that's indirect I guess).

The "miracle of Izu" sounds perfect so yeah I put a small amount on it. I love the names I see sometimes on the backpage sports paper I used to read. Lots of funny names with local inflections and stuff that makes you wish you were rich enough to buy and name a horse for the heck of it.

I do get the pull though, people watching races all day and rooting for their pick.

Ding dong dilly, looks like we're headed for some end of season dramatics now with Hamilton and Verstappen both getting in hot soup over illegalities, seems they're expecting some huge penalties, so those guys chasing them could be extra motivated to make the last few races count!

I hate redipping into Bottas after missing out on his win, time to gear up on him again, what do you think guys?
6073  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: November 13, 2021, 12:05:05 PM
@buywaytress yesterday’s England’s match stood out because Harry Kane and Maguire who are currently performing poorly in the premier league ended up scoring a hattrick and a goal respectively.

Also very few people walk the talk and hence it’s really good to see that Steve sent that money to the charity, and I further wanted to highlight that I keep seeing sportsbet.io ads on many sports sites, and it’s the only casino ad I see outside Bitcointalk so job well done on the marketing part too.

Always good to see Kane get back on track, and more of Arsenal's young guns playing for England too (well okay Saka stayed on bench but still), it's really the only time I wish enemy clubs well, so yeah, even can be happy to see Maguire get a goal. It wasn't like they were playing the toughest opponent though, so always got to temper expectations.

And yeah, hard enough to find people walking the talk when it comes to gambling (even on this forum), never mind making good on donation pledges. Sportsbet and Bitcasino have actually done a LOT of non-profit work that I've seen over the last couple of years. Then when you get individual contributions like above too, you know you're in good company.

Scotland also scored in both halves so your bet is still on good track and I wish good luck with the rest of the teams, Italy indeed look like the one to be worried about, but keep the fingers crossed, you never know.

Yeah, it turned out to be a goal in each half and England and Poland of course hit many goals, covering both halves, but I knew it. Bloody hell Italy haha, and they even scored a goal in first half to keep my hopes falsely alive, and then bleeding Jorginho misses a penalty at the death, just one damned goal and I'd have booked my 18/1.

Anyway, that'll teach me to bet on Italy again. Seems like they've lost all their charm after ending their magnificent no-loss streak.
6075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 13, 2021, 10:18:10 AM
Yesterday's special broke my heart in the final minute of Italy-Switzerland but I feel in my gut that some splash of good luck is coming. Weekend vibes or something huh.

Now take a look at today's specials. These are MY kind of specials, everything is 10/1 at minimum. And even some weird fancy horse racing that is tempting me to pick Clavel or the Japanese horse ha!

Monkey see, monkey like... and I'm a natural-born metal monkey =D

Now I see that I already missed 4 games. I had no idea they happen so often. Thanks for posting those links, @leea-1334! From now on I'll try to visit this thread more frequently. I don't want to miss the Blackjack which I surely feel is coming. Smiley

They used to be once a day, and they'd only be up for an hour or two so you really had to keep your eyes peeled!

But now there are 2 editions, about 8 hours apart, and staying active for much longer. I guess to give more people an opportunity to play (timezones and all that means at least half the world is asleep when one is active). Keep this thread on alert like I do (bct notify) or check the Specials tab in Sportsbet. Currently, they seem to come out about 8am GMT and 3pm GMT Wink
6077  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: November 13, 2021, 08:43:24 AM
Coming back here to comment after some period of time. This is just a comment, not a request to alter ratings!

On KYC: I think now in this climate of increased AML/KYC pressures on sportsbooks and casinos, very soon you may need to adjust the categorisation of KYC into Yes or No (KYC possible or anon) because I think crypto books now have no choice but to comply. Obviously, no one wants to KYC on entry, so they all have different systems for triggering a KYC check (as regulators now also haven't decided).

On security (paying out): I've never had any trouble with FJ, SB, Stake, Fairlay, Betcoin, despite 3+ years on all of them -- and with FJ, Betcoin and SB, whose support are either on social media or on this forum, account issues (blocks, etc) have all been fixed once they know it's my account.

One important caveat I should say as a matter of self-awareness: I believe this is in part due to my account age, and also forum account reputation and interaction (not that I'm DT or anything, but that I'm a known player to their support, being active on their threads/social media). Stake I deal with through regular support, and my account here has no bearings on their responses haha.

In all cases, we're also talking about significant deposits and payouts over the years, dollar-value anyway but certainly BTC value for those I started a long time ago.

I don't know if the same benefits of no KYC and flexibility would apply to a new player of whom they have no prior knowledge.

Final note: So yes, these are my popular picks... and I actually no longer play at the only one listed A+ here. And if you ask me about security, I wouldn't be depositing so soon at a new site like playbetr... I feel like needing to be in business and having proven large payouts with no issues, is what would tell me is "security" of funds.

Otherwise, in my objectivity, Stake, Sportsbet, FJ, are what I'd recommend to people who want to know they get paid when they win, along with Betcoin. It does feel odd to see them clumped in "C" right next to scam sites, when in my practical understanding, all these sites actually have the same KYC "risk", despite what each may disclose publicly.
6078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 12, 2021, 05:15:31 PM
scotland can also take a big step towards qatar with an away win in the republic of moldova.
The match should be kickoff in a few minutes, Scotland will secure second spot if they win the game and they easily should, no doubt.

Moldova have conceded 24 goals so far, so I don't think they will be of much difficulty to Scotland who needs the win.

I have my bet on Scotland -1.5 Handicap @ 1.98

I generally have money on the Scots but since I'm staying away from regular 1x2 picks, I've done a special on 4 favourites tonight to score in both halves (Scotland, England, Poland, Italy). The Swiss will be the one figured to be the hardest of them all, so I should only be worried about Italy, but at 18/1 I thought it the bet was well worth taking. For once I don't need either of them to win, just to score ha!

Did my first forum challenge after several years of inactivity. Have to say it's become much more popular these days, reward was still nice for a Halloween treat. Pity that old stuff was removed from before 2019, eh? Looking at my noob account and wishing for the old days.

Anyone else smelling a UFC upset for the double win promo? Itching to place early bets but only got Eddie's guarantee for the weekend (figure it's about time for an NFL win for me).

International break killing me over here. Still feeding off the vibes from Sunday prem league football but even watching one or two snatches from the mid-week games were drab affairs. Thank god for Live Casino heh heh. Anyone here actually like it? The stuff from Evolution especially's really changed my mind about online live table games...

Nice post Steve! Saw (belatedly) the donation to Saints charity, courtesy the 1-0 win over Watford in Hash Clash #1 and your double bet happy accident Wink

I'm following you again for Hash Clash rematch, I'll also follow your pledge, if any. #MuchWholesome
